Thank goodness for their financing department (Dan); he was able to explain leasing vs. purchasing much more clearly than some competitor dealers. The only thing I recommend is to perhaps purchase a vehicle on any other day but Sunday. Our DVD was not able to be installed due to their parts/service being closed, so now I have to go another day. My wife and I were looking for an used small SUV, we looked different dealers they wanted us to get an new car (not what we were looking for) pushing a sale on the inventory they had and We Did Not like looked different dealers they wanted us to get an new car (not what we were looking for) pushing a sale on the inventory they had and We Did Not like, we told them our budget and what we were looking for and some of them even kinda laugh, very disrespectful, finally we looked online (cars.com) and found the Jeep Truck that we were looking for in the Norm Reeves Honda Superstore. We got there and George Habib show us the truck, he understood that that was what we were looking for and we liked the condition of the vehicle. We started the negotiation process and Shawn Shahnawaz helped us, another great sales person, we closed the deal with the budget we had and the vehicle we wanted. I don't why Cerritos Honda was not our first stop but here is a list of the dealers we visited and our experience: -Cerritos Ford (Sales person pushing a New Vehicle, had one used but we did not like the model) -Worthington Ford (They had a large inventory but we did not like the condition of the cars, our test drive needed an alignment) -Glenn E. Thomas Dodge Chrysler Jeep (Here the sales guys thought they were too fancy for us, pushing new cars, and they even made fun of our budget) -Boulevard Dealer in signal hill (very aggressive sales guy) Overall our experience with Cerritos Honda was very satisfactory. Chris was patient, outgoing, calm, fielded all of our questions without being judgmental. He gave us two test drives, worked with our budget, laid out all of our options in terms of monthly expenses and even worked with us with prices. It was a night and day difference from our experience with other dealers. He kept his appointment with us, and he was a big reason I returned over the weekend to buy my first car ever with my wife. Over the weekend, I arrived at the dealer early because there were only a few models left, and Alex was there early. Even though the store hadn't opened yet, he took me for a test drive, spent time with me, explained my options again, went through all the details of car maintenance, and calmly answered my often redundant questions with a smile. I couldn't have wanted a better salesman and he always left me feeling at ease. I was never uncomfortable, and he was very personable and always kept my best interests at the forefront of the conversation, whether it was during the forms we filled out or when choosing a down payment amount. He even spent time with my wife synchronizing the bluetooth with her iphone and explaining all the features of the radio. Chris and Alex offered excellent service. On a scale of 1-10, my experience was a 12. I would definitely like to return to this dealer for my next car if I am in the area and would gladly and strongly recommend this dealer to others. Being a first time buyer, I was very nervous about the whole car buying experience. Having worked in automobile customer satisfaction research and having talked to family and friends, I had always heard whole car buying experience. Having worked in automobile customer satisfaction research and having talked to family and friends, I had always heard horror stories about dealerships. Something usually happened with the sales department, finance department, or some other department. So, my initial feelings and thoughts were a bit biased. But after purchasing my new Honda from Norm Reeves Honda Superstore, they completely changed. The employees who work here were friendly, honest, and more importantly, customer oriented. Rafael Messen was a wonderful salesperson. I know these two words usually do not go together when talking about a car salesperson, but they hold true here. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle I wanted to purchase, and he provided additional information I had not known. He worked with me to try to get the vehicle I wanted (which I did end up purchasing), while remaining very open and honest about the whole process. In addition to these qualities, the most important for me was that he honestly cared about me as a customer. After the purchase of the vehicle had been made, I had a minor problem with an indicator for my airbags. I called him up, and he said to bring it in. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived, the maintenance department had closed, so I had to bring it in the following day. I arrived at 6:30 a.m. (so I could be the first in line), and at 7:00 a.m., to my surprise, Rafael stopped by to check in on my car. I was completely shocked by this because (1) he didn’t have to stop by; (2) he had two doctors’ appointments scheduled that morning; and (3) he wasn’t scheduled to work until later that afternoon. That definitely was a thumb’s up in my book! The other gentleman I worked with was in finance. His name was Daniel Carmolinga. Daniel was terrific. He was very professional and informative. He took the time to explain each paper before I signed it. Whenever I had a question, he patiently answered. I never felt rushed or pressured into buying something I didn’t need to. Prior to even considering a Honda, I had visited a Chevy dealership as I thought I was set on purchasing an Equinox. Well, not only was the service provided a complete joke, their selection was very limited. Thankfully, my friend strongly suggested I be a little open minded and just take a look at the Crosstour as he felt I may like it. It was love at first sight!!! Seriously. I highly recommend Norms Reeves Cerritos and make sure you ask for Marc to take case of you. More

I had been working with Carlton for a few weeks. But when I fianlly decided to come and make my purchase I was glad that I did. Herb was referred to me by a friend. We talked over the phone, I told him my financial challenges,(I am one of many victims of the downward economy. I informed Herb of what I was looking for, and if everything could be prepared when I arrived so I don't have to spend all night at the dealership. Herb's knowledge and professionalism was beyond reproach. I have purchased at least 10 cars from dealerships over my life, but this was the easiest and most pleasant experience I ever had at a dealership. Even though, this was the most financially challenging time in my life in regards to my credit. Murat in finance was a pleasant surprise. There was no switch and bate tactics at time of financing, (which I had the displeasure experiencing at another dealership). He took his time and explained every detail, all options so my wife and I could make an intelligent informed decision. There was a moment when we asked him if we could have some privacy while we talked over the options. He smiled and said "of course, take your time", with that he left his office (we were going to step out, but he insisted that we stayed while he left out). Most of all, I was surprised that we were able to purchase a car with the challenges we have. I feel the interest rate is fair considering our circumstances, and I don't feel like we were taken advantage of because we were not Tier 1 applicants.
