I had an excellent experience at Nissan in Thousand Oaks. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Brian provided great follow-up and made sure all my questions were answered. The oil change and service were done to my satisfaction, and I appreciate the care taken with my vehicle. I left feeling confident that my car was well taken care of. Overall, I am very pleased with the service I received and will definitely return for future maintenance needs. I had a truly terrible experience at Nissan of Thousand Oaks that left me in tears. The service advisor, Brian, was beyond unprofessional—demeaning, dishonest, and dismissive. As a young Hispanic woman, I Oaks that left me in tears. The service advisor, Brian, was beyond unprofessional—demeaning, dishonest, and dismissive. As a young Hispanic woman, I do not appreciate being spoken to like I’m unintelligent, yet Brian repeatedly talked down to me and even said, “I don’t know how to explain this any simpler for you to understand.” His tone was condescending and disrespectful. Beyond the blatant lack of customer service, I was also misled about pricing. Brian initially told me that the $410 diagnostic fee would be applied toward the cost of repairs. However, when I was ready to move forward, I realized that was not true—I was being charged for both the diagnostic and the repair, despite what I was told. When I questioned this, Brian refused to clarify and continued speaking to me as if I were incompetent. Additionally, I was told I would receive a call within a few hours about my car. Brian never called. They kept my car overnight without informing me, and I had to follow up multiple times just to get an update. When I returned to the dealership, I asked to speak to someone else because I no longer wanted to deal with Brian. While discussing my concerns with another service advisor, Brian interjected himself into the conversation and, once again, took on an arrogant and dismissive tone. At this point, I was so frustrated and overwhelmed that I started crying. Thankfully, Julio, one of the managers, stepped in and took the time to actually explain what was happening with my car. He confirmed that the suggested $2,400+ repair wouldn’t even guarantee fixing the problem—something Brian conveniently failed to mention in an attempt to pressure me into a sale. Julio ultimately waived the diagnostic fee, which I appreciated, but it doesn’t erase the horrible treatment I received. I will never return to this dealership and strongly advise others—especially women and minorities—to be cautious when dealing with Brian. The dishonesty, lack of communication, and outright disrespect I experienced were unacceptable. Nissan of Thousand Oaks seriously needs to address this issue before more customers are mistreated. First time coming to this dealership and they surpassed my expectations. Everyone one was nice and my advisor kept me informed every step of the process and even provided me with a detailed inspection repo my expectations.
