It is about the dea Unfortunately, we have a long standing history with this dealership. Service after the sale is and has always been NON-Existent! It is about the deal for them! We purchased a second Nissan having sworn off ever buying another due to the myriad of issues we had with our first Nissan and our lack of confidence in the service team at this dealership. We had difficult decisions to make with our then 10 year old Nissan's AC broke finding that it would cost thousands to repair, then swooped in Dino. He's the deal man, and he offered us concessions and a great closing price which at the time seemed to negate our past experience. Have no fear, things are different - but be wary... We were offered a lifetime warranty and proclamation that we did not have to get service done at Nissan (knowing our past experience). The unfortunate thing is when you don't get the service done at Nissan you also don't receive the list of Nissan recommended services - which has to be met and completed for the warranty to be valid. Have I taken care of my vehicle - you bet. Is it to their recommended timeline, who knows. Additionally, Nissan sent me to St. Augustine Nissan recently to have a corrosion warranty item reviewed. In doing so, Cynthia, the service manager, was going to forward photos to Nissan. When I called Nissan 4 weeks later - they said the dealership hadn't seen me in two years. This is par for the course - I recently shared my feedback and concerns with Gina, the controller, who stated she or the GM would call me back before EOD. Two days later - I'm on Yelp! If you love Nissan and have to have one - buy it and get it serviced somewhere else. More

I've owned 12 to 15 new cars and have never dealt with such a poor service department. It started last year when the new car I had purchased from them did not have the plastic retainer installed to keep the metal seat belt clip from sliding down. A minor issue one would think. I made an appointment to get that installed and went in only to be told they'd have to order the part. I told them what the issue was so why drag me over there for nothing if you don't have the part. A wasted trip. I was told I'd be contacted when the part arrived. It never happened. They just blew me off. The service advisor was a Cynthia Benefield. After about 9 months I needed an oil change and some other repair work so insisted this belt retainer be fixed. I'd hoped this lady would not be involved as she was so useless. Only to find out she'd been promoted to the manager of the service department. Apparently at this dealership gross negligence get's one promoted not booted. So I did go in to get it fixed but once again they had to order the part. You see a pattern here? In addition I needed the windshield sprayers adjusted as they were only spraying the lower 1/3 of the windshield. After getting home I saw that the sprayers were not any better. They'd done nothing. I gave up. Fast forward a few weeks I get a call from Ms Benefield about my service visit. I told her my sprayers had not been touched. She proceeded to argue with me. That she had nothing in her paperwork about me requesting that. First of all that's not true. I have the invoice in front of me and it clearly states "Customer states that washer nozzle will not spray upper portion of windshield. So Ms Benefield is clearly lying through her teeth to save face since they did such a poor job. But even if it weren't on the invoice she's implying I am lying and just making the whole thing up to annoy her. Why would I bother lying about something so minor. She tells me she's going to investigate this matter and get back to me. No offer to fix my problem, no apology, just investigate this to cover her behind that she's not at fault here. It's been weeks and of course I've heard nothing back. Pretty standard for this service manager. Not sure how this lady gets away with treating service customers so lousy but apparently she does. If she was my employee she'd be out the door pronto! Needless to say I will NOT be purchasing any further vehicles from St Augustine Nissan nor will I set foot in that dealership for any service work. It would be pointless to do so. Hope I have saved others from wasting their time here. More
