Scam Artists. Not honoring the original lease buyout. I came to this dealership with the intention of completing a lease buy out. I have a 2019 Nissan Leaf whi Not honoring the original lease buyout. I came to this dealership with the intention of completing a lease buy out. I have a 2019 Nissan Leaf which had reached its end of lease. I brought my car into the dealership as advised by Nissan corporate for the mandatory lease inspection. When I sat down in the financing office (I had intended to buy the car out with a cashier's check) I was advised that in order to buy the car I needed to complete a "Certification Inspection" that would cost $1895. They said that they were willing to come down on the price as a courtesy but I ended up being charged $1431 extra. According to the original lease agreement, I was not responsible for ANY fees other than a $395 dealer fee, taxes and DMV. They were not willing to release my car to me without me agreeing to pay for the CPO Inspection Fee. A certification inspection is something that’s performed on CPO (certified preowned) vehicles - a car that is being sold by a branded dealer and is the same make (Nissan being sold at a Nissan dealer, for example), and it comes with a CPO warranty, 7 years, 100k miles from the date of original sale. There was no written warranty provided to me. There was no warranty extended to me. I was absolutely scammed and ripped off. No one had told me that this was an optional fee. No one has said that I didn't need to pay for this. I asked if I had to pay this fee and they said, "Everyone is charging it, whether you go here or Bay Shore or Smithtown." This is an unethical tactic that violates the Nissan policy. They are trying to markup on a car that they didn't even sell. They tried to normalize a fee that they shouldn't have charged in the first place. I suggest that no one do business with this place if they are going to use such deceptive behaviors. More
Delayed crediting my credit card for a deal that fell through. Sales Manager called me asinine for registering a complaint with Nissan North America Consumer Affairs to retrieve my $2,500 deposit after s through. On a lease for a 2022 Altima they wanted me to lay out a total of over $6,000 in fees including the $2,500 down payment. Interestingly enough they later called me and said "you win" and later accepted the original numbers I gave them for the lease. I leased a better equipped (non-Nissan) car at another dealership and saved over $4,000.00. Previously I leased 5 Nissan cars at Huntington Nissan over the years, that will never happen again! What happened to Nissan of Huntington, they used to be so good! They service department is excellent and friendly. More
I had previously purchased 3 Altima’s at Huntington Nissan but I had moved to Smithtown in Jul 2019 so when I purchased my 2019 Nissan Rogue in Jan 2020, I went to Smithtown Nissan since it is only 1 m Nissan but I had moved to Smithtown in Jul 2019 so when I purchased my 2019 Nissan Rogue in Jan 2020, I went to Smithtown Nissan since it is only 1 mile from where I live. BIGGEST mistake! Smithtown Nissan is HORRIBLE. I can’t begin to tell you the drama and issues I had with them in Jan/Feb 2020 and then again in Dec 2021. So I came to Huntington Nissan (30 min away as opposed to 1 mile). Wow, I so wish I had purchased my Rogue from Huntington. They are THE BEST! I dealt with Santiago in their service department. He was beyond helpful in working with my on my “free oil change/tire rotation” that I have a 3 year contract for but Smithtown would not honor it saying they didn’t sign it (they had changed ownership after I purchased my Rouge). But the company, Portfolio Protection, said I’m absolutely covered at ANY Nissan dealership for 3 years. So I called and was able to get it all taken care of at Huntington. I will continue to bring my business to Huntington and have told all my friends and family as well.. none of us will ever go to Smithtown again, we will always come to Huntington. Do not waste your time at this dealership, unnecessary BS fees involved. I saved my self $7,000 by going to a different dealership also in Long Island, bought my car the same day from a different place. Firs fees involved. First off the salesman was friendly, he transferred over to his manager for negotiations (Not sure of name but white guy with a beard). You could smell the arrogance off this guy, super rude, super hostile, never had a customer experience so rude and have been purchasing cars for the passed decade. An extra $7,000 in fees they tried to charge! At the other Nissan dealership they laughed and said let me guess they tried to charge you $7,000 in fees. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. There's dealerships that won't be rude and won't charge absolute BS fees. More

BEWARE OF PURCHASING A USED CAR HERE. Purchased a used car for our 18 yr old son. It couldn't pass inspection for 2 days.The original salesman Herbie' Santos just left and never told us while we waited ou car for our 18 yr old son. We entered the showroom at 2 pm and left at 9pm waiting for the car to pass inspection. Then had to wait the next day also to see if the car could pass inspection.. Herbie left the deal and we had no clear correspondence. Then when we went to pay and sign papers my 18 yr old son was told to his face by Ranjit S Sachdev that we had free oil changes 2 yrs for our troubles. Well this was false. Nissan has no record of any free oil changes. We emailed Ranjit S Sachdev and Dan Turin. Dan never responded to any of our emails. But a woman named Danielle called because they didn't want a bad review and promised she would fix the issue and to look for an email in the next day or two with the oil changes. That was weeks ago. She informed us that Ranjit S Sachdev no longer worked at Nissan. But his name is on the dealer website and he also answered his Nissan emails. Scamming all around from everyone at this dealership. Herbie knew that this car was for our son to drive back to college in Florida. We told him as soon as we walked in the dealership. To sell a car to an 18 yr old that couldn't pass inspection for 2 days. Then to not even offer any compensation is bad business practice. We hope that this car will pass inspection the next time it is due. Beware buying a certified used car here. Don't trust anyone there. More
