Hi Joseph, We are truly sorry that this happened to your daughter's vehicle, and we are trying to assist you the best we can given the circumstances. I would like to clarify a few things in your review, as they are misleading. The purchase price of your vehicle was $16,600 which was fair market value for your vehicle at the time of purchase. We're not sure why you are implying you overpaid by $18,000 when this was clearly not the case. You opted not to purchase an extended warranty on a vehicle that was already completely out of warranty taking the responsibility of future repairs upon yourself. We offered to bring your vehicle to our Chevrolet dealership in Milford CT to have our Certified Master Chevy Mechanics diagnose your vehicle in detail, but you declined. Nick offered to help pay a portion of a new motor if that was what the vehicle needed as an act of good-will, because he also has a young daughter and understands how upset this must have made her. He was under no obligation to offer any compensation 10 months after your sale. We truly feel terrible that his happened to the vehicle, unfortunately it was in proper working order at the time of purchase. Our offers to assist you still stand if you change your mind. We wish you the best.

Let me clarify the errors in your statements. Yes 16,600 and tax title fees and out the door was $18,243. So yes we paid over $18,000 for the car when Kelley’s Blue Book Value was between $7-9,000. I don’t recall ever being offered an extended warranty. As for sending the vehicle back to the “Master Mechanic”. I did agree! I welcomed it and encouraged the vehicle to be taken to get looked at by anyone you wanted. When we discussed the motor and its issue, $10,000 for a new motor is what I declined!
