This is the third time that I’ve come to your dealership for service for an oil change and tire rotation and your mechanic did not rotate my tires. 3rd time! Also, I came I’m yesterday for a diagnostic app for service for an oil change and tire rotation and your mechanic did not rotate my tires. 3rd time! Also, I came I’m yesterday for a diagnostic appointment and dropped my car off at 8:10 am. I got 0 communication throughout the day so I called and left a message for Evan, no call back within the hour, so I called again and got ahold of him. He tells me the mechanic hasn’t gotten to my vehicle yet, at 2:30 pm. If I drop my vehicle off for an appointment at 8 am, the expectation is for your mechanic to begin to work on my vehicle within the hour! I was not informed that your service department was running behind until I called the second time at 2:30. If your service department cannot work on time, then don’t make appointments! You only set yourself up for customer dissatisfaction and failure! I told Evan to forget about the diagnostic because the 24-48 hour diagnostic window was not communicated to me before I handed my keys over in the morning. I can understand how your service department is busy, and you may be running behind, we are all busy, but if you don’t communicate that to your customer, that sets you up for a bad survey! The fact that this is the 3rd time that I’ve take my vehicles to nimnicht Chevy (voted 7 years in a row as a top rated dealer… SAD!) and I pay for a tire rotation, and my tires clearly havent been rotated, is absolutely unprofessional by your mechanics, and service advisors. The first time it happened I brought my vehicle back the next day and had them rotated. The second time, just last week, the mechanic decided to not rotate my tires because one of them had a finishing nail in the tread (xx excuse) I had that fixed before I left. And finally yesterday I come pick up my vehicle and the rims were clearly in the same place and the tire pressures were all the same! My back right tire was at 29 when I brought it in yesterday, they weren’t inflated to the proper pressure and the back right tire is still at 29 PSI as of this morning, and I drive 25 miles home and back to work so there’s no doubt in my mind that your mechanic didn’t rotate my tires, which I paid for. So if you are the service manager, or the GM of this business you need to retrain your advisors to communicate expectations to the customer, and to check that their mechanics are actually doing the job their supposed to. You also need to tighten the leash on your mechanics because they’re getting away with cutting corners and it’s costing you your CSI score! If you are the GM or service manager and would like to personally speak to me, you can call me More

My last service visit was a disaster. I brought it in for very specific things. I had to wait weeks just to get an appointment. The first was a warning light on my dashboard. I couldn't I brought it in for very specific things. I had to wait weeks just to get an appointment. The first was a warning light on my dashboard. I couldn't read it with a standard code reader so reluctantly I brought it in. They charged me $180 Just to read the code. To plug in a reader and tell me the code, what, about 5 seconds? $180. This is why people don't go to dealerships. Then they wanted $850 on top of that to replace a sensor. A quick check online showed that the sensor could be bought for $25. It was clearly accessible and it took me less than 10 minutes to unscrew the one screw unplug it and plug the new one in and put the screw back on. $25 for something they wanted to charge me $800+ for. Next, a coolant leak. I am adding about a pint of coolant a week, I can see dried coolant stains under the vehicle, but it's not leaving a puddle, so i asked them to check it. They responded that there was no leak. The coolant reservoir was full. Of course it is, I have to keep adding it. Another waste of my time. I asked them to find out why my "Service 4WD" message keeps coming on. They gave me a list of about five codes that were showing up related to the four-wheel-drive system. This I knew. What did they do about it? Told me that they drove it around in four-wheel-drive and the message wouldn't come on. That's what codes are for. It's an intermittent issue, that's why it stores the codes to tell you how to fix it. They couldn't be bothered. Said it "has to be doing it at the time to fix it". Another waste of my time. Then a routine maintenance item, a transmission fluid service. They charged me almost $400 which I knew going in, but wow. Price some other area mechanics for this and see how much they charge. Probably not even half that. But I brought it in because I needed these other things done, which didn't get done. Lastly, I asked them to grease all the fittings under the vehicle that are called for to be done every other oil change. I change the oil myself, but it is difficult to access these points without it being on a lift. It is a Chevrolet vehicle, it's a Chevrolet service department, and know what they told me? They don't have a grease gun in their service department. LITERALLY THEY DO NOT HAVE A GREASE GUN IN THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. The reason was that vehicles don't need it anymore. I asked them to check the steering and suspension, honestly I don't even feel like this was done. I have no confidence that they even checked. But what they DID do, was tell me that I needed a part replaced in my air-conditioning system. Which is functioning absolutely fine. And they wanted almost $1000 to replace this part. I never even asked them to check the air conditioning system. What's more, I have done all the work myself on that truck since I bought it new twenty years ago. What I can tell you is that I am absolutely certain in every meaning of the word that there was not neon colored Freon splashed all over the high-pressure port of my air conditioning line under the hood when I brought it in. Further to that, the reason my engine bay is so clean is because the engine on all of my vehicles gets washed with the rest of the car with high-pressure every other time I wash the rest of the vehicle. The fact that it came back with Freon splashed all around the area you told me I needed to replace and being 150% certain that it wasn't there when I brought it in (as I am under the hood replenishing the coolant every week that you told me isn't leaking) was the final straw for me. I definitely won't be back. An automobile service department that doesn't have a grease gun. I can't even make this up. They are great at charging a lot of money to do what a quick lube place does (sans grease gun) or charging you to plug something in to tell you a code, and pointing out problems you don't have, but if you need something done, they aren't equipped for it. It used to be a good place to get servic More
Laverne was instrumental in helping me not only get a timely appointment, but she was able to get me directly in touch with the accessories guy (Danny) and we were able to make sure all of the parts and timely appointment, but she was able to get me directly in touch with the accessories guy (Danny) and we were able to make sure all of the parts and services I needed on my truck lift project were in order. Everyone at the dealership, in all roles, were nothing less than helpful, nice, and accommodating. I was even able to work in a secluded area and get my truck worked on and didn’t have to burn a day off; that’s customer care to an entirely different level! I will be back when I need something else done on my truck (or any of my other vehicles). More

Ben and Dennis at the Truck Shop at Nimnicht Chevrolet are amazing: THEY are the reason I own GM vehicles. My wifes transmission went out on a Tuesday ( 4 year old Yukon XL w/ 84,000 miles: By Thursday are amazing: THEY are the reason I own GM vehicles. My wifes transmission went out on a Tuesday ( 4 year old Yukon XL w/ 84,000 miles: By Thursday ( 48 hours later) I had a new transmission installed, truck washed and back on the road. ABSOLUTELY outstanding. THESE TWO service managers are the ONLY reason I go to this dealership: they make the difference. They know my name. They go the extra mile. I received NO compensation for this review: just excellent customer experience, every single time. More
