I had a '97 NIssan Maxima with 287,000 miles on it and finally realized that it was time to part ways with her. While this was very difficult for me, I worked with a terrific and professional salesma and finally realized that it was time to part ways with her. While this was very difficult for me, I worked with a terrific and professional salesman in Ryan Sturzebecker and he made my new car purchase experience a great one. I walked in the store knowing that I wanted a 2013 Nissan Altima and he worked with me throughout the entire process and I never felt like I was being taken advantage of like the many other car dealerships out there. I would highly recommend Denville Nissan if you are looking for a reliable car and if you want a stress-free experience, ask for Ryan Sturzebecker. He listens to exactly what you are looking for and doesn't make you feel like you are making a wrong decision or spending too much money on any unnecessary items. I came in the dearlership about a week later to get my new license plates put on the car. I saw Ryan there and with no questions asked, he immediately got up and greeted me and put the plates on my car and I was out of there in no time. I was extremely please with my Nissan experience and have nothing but good things to say about it. Thanks again, Ryan, you definitely made my experience a great one and I am enjoying my new Altima! Even though I never had service here, Tim Kelly and his tech Shawn went way out of their way to accommodate me and make sure everything was done right...They explained to me what the problem was and why the problem happened... I could not have been happier with this team that Tim has...I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a problem with their Nissan.. In todays world, you find very few people who go out of their way to make the customer happy and Tim and Shawn sure did that for me.. More

I was not satisfied with the verbal agreement so I requested that they give me a written contract (purchase order) or I'm walking away. At first they would not agree to give me a written contract and they were just dodging and saying that there wouldn't be any problems, but I insisted and they eventually gave me a written contract. I went back in on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 to fill out my financing papers at that time they decided not to honor the contract. They started a verbal argument and tried to grab the original contract with force out of my hands, they were very confrontational. I was literally battered!! They wanted to rip the original contract up. They then wanted their car back so I told them they can come and pick it up from my home. Two men came to my home to pick up the car and they called the police. Police officers were called to my home and it became very embarrassing because my neighbors were out and looking. The police officers said this is a civil issue and it must be resolved between the two parties. The two men that came to pick up the car called their boss (Tony) and their boss said that he would honor the original contract if I went in now, mind you this is at 9 pm. After about 15 minutes later he called me and said to call him tomorrow (June 26, 2013) and to come in and he will honor the original contract. I called the dealership in the morning to confirm the appointment. In the afternoon I get a phone call from the dealership, Gene, asking me to bring in the vehicle with me so he can inspect it. I told him that the vehicle had already been inspected the day it was given to me and that I no longer had insurance on it because the insurance that was given to me from you was only for 3 days and I did not want to drive the car without insurance. He was very persistent and threatened me that he would have to call the cops and report the car stolen. How can he call the cops and tell them that it was stolen when they gave me the keys to the car and a purchase order contract? This was just another ploy for them to get the car back because they no longer wanted to honor the original purchase contract. After about half hour or so I get another call from the dealership but this time it was from someone else, the finance person (I forget his effin name, let's just call him by a number "3", criminal number), telling me to bring in the vehicle, I told him no and that I already talked to your boss. So then he begins to threatened me, "stating that I know where you live and I know many people in the community that you live in" also he made a comment which I'm unable to post here because of it's race nature.. It was a very unpleasant phone conversation, insulting and intimidating. After all the threats and phone calls I went into the dealership later that day to get my finance papers and sign the contract as it should have been done originally. Eventually after all the troubles, threats and insults they finally agreed with the original purchase order contract that was made. It's not over yet. When signing the final finance papers and all the other paperwork associated with the purchase of the car I was again insulted. I wanted to review all the paperwork that I was signing and when doing so I was told to step out of the office and review the paperwork outside while he did other work. I was treated as third class citizen. I have never experienced something like this. No institution would tell you to step outside of the office to review paperwork that you are signing. I as a customer have every right to review any paperwork that I'm asked to sign in the office and what audacity did this person have to tell me to step outside. This was the worst experience of my life in purchasing a vehicle. I informed the Better Business Bureau about this business but there is only so much that they can do. It has been almost a month now since I had the car in my possession and I have not received my plates and registration, the temporary plates has expired. I called the DMV this morning and they said they don't have any records of my new car. The dealership has not submitted anything in!! Update July 25, 2013 - I was contacted by Gene Epstein from the dealership and he was very professional and cordial with me and he was able to get my licence plates & registration today itself. I'm glad that there is still someone there that is professional. I bought two cars from there before and didn't have this bad experience that is why I went back to the same dealership. Hope things change and it goes back to the reputable business I knew it to be. More
