That gave me a sense of confidence that they would care about MY family. Nothing could have been further from the truth. I traded my Jeep in for a Ford F250 Diesel. That was my 2nd mistake. It would die while driving. Even the owner told me this was dangerous. He did say they would trade me out of it and “treat me right” since I had bought it 30 days prior. “Treating me right” included a salesman selling 2 trucks out from under me and allowing me $3899 LESS than I paid when the sales man finally sold me a vehicle. While this is a family owned operation, the father, Richard, has delegated or possibly passed the torch to the son, Mark, who doesn't seem to understand the concept of “treating me right” or taking pride in one’s family name. Everyone was as friendly as possible at this dealership. Until after I had spent the $$$$ on the vehicle. I carried the Acadia back to them within 60 days of purchase because of the check engine light on. On-Star representative ran a check on the code and determined that it was an emissions fault and that it would be covered under the remaining warranty. I called Lyons Chevrolet and set up an appointment the following Thursday. I carried the vehicle in and they ran a diagnostic check and the test showed that the ($182 problem) purge solenoid was bad which fell under the warranty in the handbook but did not fall under the part# in the computer. So after that, they hummed around of why they couldn't take care of the problem for about 10 minutes until I told them to give me my keys and my vehicle back. I drove back home (45 mins) and called Murrey Chevrolet in Pulaski and told their service dept the situation and the code the vehicle was giving. The service lady said that they would call me back. After a while she called me back and reported to me that the part fell under the emissions in the handbook but that the part was not showing up under the replacement guide. She told me that her service manager told her to replace the part FREE OF CHARGE because of the contradictions in the two. So for anyone out there that is looking for a vehicle in the Marshall Co. area, drive an extra 45 minutes to Murrey Chevrolet in Pulaski or at least somewhere else other Lyons Chevrolet. It just looks like (and if I was running a business like this it would) that if I had a customer that had spent the money that I had, I wouldn't have thought twice about fixing the problem. Lyon's Chevrolet: Look what that $182 bought you! More
