I was full of questions, and Joe took the time to answer each of my questions and was very patient with me. Joe was down to earth, easy to talk with and down to earth. Joe worked with me and found my a truck that best fit my budget. The finance department and the rest of the staff there were very polite and courteous towards me, making me feel like I was family there. New Smyrna Beach Chevrolet environment was happy, cool and very inviting to be at. Post sale, Joe has reached out to me several times by phone calls and emails, ensuring that I am happy with the purchase and if I had any questions he could answer for me. I am happy that he reached out to me, to make sure I was happy and if I needed any questions answered. This whole process of purchasing my 2023 Chevy Silverado has been smooth and fantastic! My next purchase will be at New Smyrna Beach Chevrolet and I will be asking for Joe Lena !! STAY AWAY from this dealership. Indifference and unacceptable attitudes abound here. Having met the leadership here it is clear why as attitude always reflects leadership! Came in to buy a used Blazer they had listed for my sons first car. Sales person Damian met us and I informed him we were interested in looking into the purchase of a used Blazer. He informed us that they did not have any used ones but he can show us a new one even though I thought they did as I had seen one on their add that morning and the reason of our going to their dealership. We looked at some new ones and then asked him to check for used ones. Low and behold he did find the one I had seen on their add. First red flag. The add price showed a price of 41,800,,,, then when I asked for their price to start a deal they brought back the purchase sheet showing a starting price of almost 43,000.00 with a final price of over 47,000.00. Far cry from the add price of less than $42k. They then showed us the fine print in the add that says the add price is with trade in or financing. OK, i'll take it that we did not read the fine print, but as we are cash buyers we were going to have to pay more is pretty frustrating. They make money off of financing, extended warranties and the incredibly ridiculous dealer fees which were $980. $980 for dealer fees for a used vehicle, really? Anyone who pays this fee is an idiot. This is their price of doing business. I informed Damian that I would not pay the dealer fees, and having looked on the internet for comparison shopping I gave him my out the door offer based on what I could find in the market for the exact same vehicle. He smiled and said I am sorry but I will have to decline that offer. He asked how I came up with the offer. I almost laughed and wondered if he had heard of the internet and all the sites at hand but didn't and explained where I got the information to compare. We started to get up to leave and he asked if I wanted him to take the offer to his manager. I said that was entirely up to him if he wanted to sell a car today or not, especially considering we were the only ones in the dealership, which now I certainly understand why. He said ok let me check. In a few minutes the manager comes over without Damian, I guess we hurt his feelings or something as we never saw him again which is incredibly unprofessional. The manager had an attitude from the start like we were bothering him. He asked again how I came up with my price to which I explained to him the same as to Damian. He then tried to sell me an extended warranty or get me to finance the vehicle and then just pay it off in 4 months so he could come down a bit on his price. I advised no and we shook hands and left the dealership. Note, the whole time another salesman was sitting at a table next to us just eavesdropping on our conversations. I guess he was there to report back to Damian or the manger what we were saying while they were not with us. He got up and left coincidentally when we we started to leave. The entire place reeks of shadiness. We then went and had dinner and went to a different local dealer as they had a used Blazer RS there for sale. We had a fantastic experience the other dealer and bought the exact same vehicle with the exact same package for 6k less than what this dealers final price was and without any of the xx fees that unscrupulous dealers such as New Smyrna Beach Chevrolet try to pass on. More
