Now I can review what I ACTUALLY thought about this dealer. ** New Rochelle Toyota is overall average. Location and the building itself is nice. Most of the people are very friendly. Some are extremely pushy, as you would expect from salesmen. (Another dealership I went to was heavenly - the people actually CARED about you, not just your money. Should have gone there instead.) I felt like I was almost being pushed into leasing this car, because they would not let me go with my deposit, as I'd asked 5 times already. At the end they did give me a good price, so in a way it was worth it. But if I would have known what kind of customer service I would get after, I'd have run and not come back. A remote starter was installed into my car after I already picked it up. The day I came in for the remote starter I was told there would be a loaner ready for me so I can get to work on time. Turns out that they do not give you loaners for remote starters - major communication disconnect between service and sales people. After a while they finally managed to give me a rental car so I can leave - almost an hour later. Then, I started having issues with the remote starter. My car would actually NOT start at all intermittently, and the onboard electronics would flicker. I told Toyota about this a few times, and even brought it in once. That day I called ahead to ask them if I can come in that day, and the girl told me to be there by 4. I left work early and got there at 4pm, and the service guys ask me "Why did you bother? We don't have time" (quoting what he told me). Once again had to 'fight' with them to take a look at the car. Essentially they told me they can't do anything unless this issue happened right in front of their eyes. I also sent an e-mail to Shaikh Ali asking him what I can do with this problem, since I don't want to be stuck with a defective car that Toyota refuses to fix. He read the e-mail and showed it to some sales people (I know because a sales person told me that he saw the e-mail because Shaikh was showing it around. I can safely assume that it was to make fun of me.) I never got a response back, weeks after. I can safely say that Toyota will not take care of this issue. After all, they have my money and the signed contract, now they can stop caring. I'm even debating to not go back for the oil changes. The service is simply terrible and a waste of time. More
Worst dealership ever...extremely unprofessional!!!!! I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go here. Darnell was as incompetent as they come. He mislead us and strung us along for 2 weeks. Then when we pick up our old car that was for a trade in and were told it was driveable, it died on i95. He made up story after story and in the end lost a big sale. We went to Toyota city in mamaroneck and got a better car with amazing service! More

First & foremost the tech walks out to the vehicle and claims to hear my pulleys are defective? All 3! Don't give it to a transmission specialist, let the xxxxxx that doesn't deal with them figure it out! THE CUSTOMER IS FOOTING THE BILL! The Service Rep obviously doesn't listen nor does he communicate with the techs on the floor! They placed my bill under the previous owners info, for one, secondly they jerked me around with when the vehicle would be ready! Made me drive there from Long Island City after assuring me that the vehicle would be ready by 2pm to find out after replacing my transmission they were never going to change my safety neutral switch! So between gas & tolls I had to pay for their F-up!These techs are supposed to be ASE certified & look to cut every corner they can! Will told me that the part would be $200 the first day, then $300 the second day, what would it be on the 4th & 5th days? Never the less they will eat the cost of the part, like they were doing me a favor! So not only did a pay for the transmission but had to pay for a rental car for 7 days! No courtesy car! Despite their screw up in communication of when and how long the vehicle would be down/ready. Upon paying for the bill some how or another the payment was for several thousand dollars $ .01 cents! Now paying in cash, the cashier had the audacity to ask for the penny, & made change for the .99 cents! Worst experience at a dealership ever, at least at a mechanics shop you could understand things like this but not at such a prestigious dealership like New Rochelle Toyota. I will never take another vehicle to any dealership for service ever again! Pay for union mechanics at rates that are ridiculous & for what just to get F-ed around at a higher price! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Oh have to make you laugh, the Senior Service Mgr.'s voice mail said that he was on vacation until July. Left a message and no one ever returned my call! It's like a circus over there, no one communicates & you have all these techs, managers, and customer reps. so you think the place would run like clockwork! But it couldn't get any more screwed up! Thank God they sell vehicles because their service department is the worst ever! There are a lot of other words I would like to use about this dealership but wouldn't be worth it, they know how bad they really are! Really sucks to get screwed around like this! Billy greeted us with a smile and willingness to help although it was 5 minutes till closing time on Sunday. Worst PLACE I have ever seen. I was looking to buy a white highlander for my wife, I am came across this dishonest dealership, I drove across state line from Boston to NYC. Before started driving I spoke multiples time to Emily on the phone, she told me all the information about the car, Once i especially called her for the car-fax report, she placed me on hold and said clean car-fax no accident no damage Lease Car. When i arrived at the New Rochelle Toyota i did a test drive on the car with sales person Bob Shehu, I pointed out few things the hood was not aligning up right too much gap, the bumper was missing parts, some oil marks under the car. I asked to see the car-fax, I could not believe my eyes when I SAW THE REPORT, ACCIDENT AND FIRE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. I asked to see Emily "She has left". WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. LIES AND DRAMA WOULD ANYONE DRIVES 10 HOURS ROUND TRIP TO KNOW THE TRUTH. ITS A SHAME. The truth was that Steve (Manager) took in this car VERY CHEAP in from the accident fixed the car up made it certified to make Big Money. later to find out that someone later reported to car-fax what really happened to the car. WHAT DO THESE PEOPLE DO TO MAKE A HONEST BUCK. They cover up was exposed. Wasted my time, I was there for all the wrong reason, WHAT A NICE COVER UP FOR A CAR THAT IS IN FIRE ACCIDENT BAG DEPLOYED. Amarildo treated us with respect and courtesy. Compared to my husband and me, he's a youngster, but he knows his business well. He's willing to do what's needed, right away, and although we did the hagglin to my husband and me, he's a youngster, but he knows his business well. I'm definitely sending anyone I know to him for a new Toyota. (This is our second purchase at this dealership, but our first with Amarildo.) More
I brought a Prius in April. Took my car to New Rochelle in Oct for it's first oil change. Everything is fine. About 3 weeks later, I noticed that one of my front headlights was out. Of course the first thing I did was Google the problem. Seemed that there are reams of stories about the high cost of a headlight for a Prius. I said, these are all from the West coast, I shouldn't have a problem in NYC. Not. I called New Rochelle Toyota to make an appointment to get the headlight replaced. I asked the cost, I was quoted $100. I asked again was this for the bulb and replacement I was assured yes. Great, I thought, West Coast is just cray cray. Went for my appointment, ok I was late. They told me that I had to come back and that the cost was about $300. I said to replace a headlight. Yes, because the part was almost $200 and we need to diagnose the problem. I mentioned that my high beams did not seem to work either. The Service Manager says to me, see that means that we probably need to replace the ballast. Come back. I smiled and left. 1) A prius does not have conventional highbeams vx low beams, so no ballast involved. The service manager didn't seem to know that. I purchase the exact headlight on Amazon, brought 2 bulbs and had it replaced by a friend's mechanic for $170. All reports says that Toyota tries to rip you off when it comes to replacing the headlights, don't know why, but they do. But to not know the workings of a car, start quoting all kinds of pricing and you are the service manager. Well I am now looking for a new place. My advice, do not use New Rochelle Toyota. More
