You don't treat women the same as men I traded my truck that I bought from you. While I had it, I added rain guards, hub guards, a bed liner, a fold back bed cover and running boards. I a I traded my truck that I bought from you. While I had it, I added rain guards, hub guards, a bed liner, a fold back bed cover and running boards. I also installed the tow package individually as I use my truck for towing. I knew that you were getting a great deal because along with all the upgrades I added, there was also only 10,000 miles on my truck. She is a little gem. I asked that rain guards and bed cover be included on my new lease and was absolutely denied and told that it was not an option at all!... Then, I learned on delivery that a braking harness was not included in your "tow package" ... I did not know this as I had previously installed my own on my trade-in truck as well as another I previously owned. I immediately said that this was a problem and was met with a blank stare from the salesman...... It was late, I went home and called in the morning to say that I wanted my harness removed from my truck so I could have it installed in the new truck and explained that had I known it was in the new truck, I would have had it removed before the trade. I was told a number of completely inappropriate responses including, ...."well, we don't know if your truck is still here... we might have sent it to the wholesaler." (Really? less than 3 years old, ... great upgrades... 10,000 miles and you have possession for 10 hours and dumped it that fast.... I am sorry ....I am blond but not that dumb and by the way, I drove over and saw it in your back lot parked in the last row on the end to the left... I told you as much and was then told... "Well, it's only around $200 to install a new harness" ............... No, sir, I do not wish to incur more expenses by installing a new one when I thought my package was complete...........I will decide how to spend my money thank you. Finally, I was told that the speaker wasn't sure if he could find someone available to remove the harness for me. (Really, sir.... I thought that there was a huge service department at your disposal....yes...it's right through that door in the showroom.) I then received a return call to inform me that my harness would be taken off of my first truck and I could pick it up in the service department that afternoon. Thank you.... but then the best part happened. While in the service department, I ran into an old friend and her husband.... They just leased a new truck like me... we were squealing with delight, hugging hello and catching up quickly as well as raving about how much we love our Fords. Then the parts manager came out to give them the rain guards that they requested be included for their new lease. They said that those little details were important to them and I joked with the parts manager and said that I also requested the rain guards but he jokingly said that I didn't buy a big enough truck! Really??!! You really just said that to a customer??? Well sir, I didn't have a husband saying that HE wanted them.... that is the difference.... and when you treat women differently, we are smart enough to see it.. So I hope that the $50.00 (ish) you saved by jerking me around was worth it to you. I gave you a small but beautiful truck with fabulous upgrades and you still did everything you could to try and take advantage of me. And while I felt it all day... Your staff just proved it to me. Thank you. Going forward. I will honor my contract and I will use your facilities as I am required by the lease but I will no longer be a return customer in the future. I bring good business to the companies that I make purchases from and I expect to be treated fairly and not be tested through the process to see if I am smart enough to catch your unfair and prejudiced practices. I don't have time for that . More
