Yelp Napleton West Palm Beach Hyundai Apparently, I'm not alone in the scams they try to run and ridiculously bad service they offer. And there are months of the same complaints being registered with no improvements, so you decide if the GM is truly concerned about my bad experience. I spoke to Anneris from sales in the morning and got a Carfax and a firm quote. I drove 1.5 hrs to the dealership. When I arrived, Gerrett the sales manager added on a mysterious $1895.00 CPO fee, as a "certified reconditioning fee". I told him the AutoTrader ad only says, "Sales tax, registration, title, dealer fees ($899) are additional to the advertised price". He literally told me, "We add this to all cars. How do you think I get paid?" When I told him it wasn't in the ad or mentioned by the sales person, he said, "That how we get people in here." This is a CLASSIC "Lowball" sales technique, usually only employed by the "Buy Here, Pay Here" used car lots. I can't believe a large, reputable dealership such as Napleton would employ this deceptive, dirty technique, or promote people like Gerrett to sales manager. BTW, after I got home, I checked the ad again, and now they updated the body of the ad: "In most cases the reconditioning expense will be added to the advertised price.". Just list the real price of the xxxx car in the ad! More
No pressure. My wife and I have purchased quite a few vehicles and almost always avoid dealerships because we feel pressured and haggled to death. The only reason we came to Napleton West Palm is because they had a few cars we found on Auto Trader that we wanted to test drive and possibly purchase. We were shooting for the stars and the vehicle we wanted was out of our price range and we were ready to leave. Daniel our salesman, asked if we could wait and he came back with a few options in our price range. There was one that we took a liking to and so we gave our bottom line and they met it. Daniel was great throughout the process and the sales manager was accommodating as well. As if that was not enough, the finance department beat the financing we had already procured and the rate was out of this world. We absolutely loved the service that Daniel provided. This was really the part that made the long day a great experience. My take away from this visit is that you never know what you are going to find. An attentive and knowledgeable staff is hard to find in the car business. We did our homework financially and that made the entire process smoother. I found that the dealership was more willing to work with us because we understood the values of the cars and how much we had to spend. More
