July 21, 2012- I went into Oak Lawn Mazda despite the poor reviews I read about this place. I had a TERRIFIC experience. I worked directly with Ricky (the owner) and Jack (the finance manager). They were poor reviews I read about this place. I had a TERRIFIC experience. I worked directly with Ricky (the owner) and Jack (the finance manager). They were both absolutely wonderful and I was also told that they underwent all new management last year. It really shows!! 3 years ago I had purchased a 2008 Mazda3 from there and the service was poor... but... I ended up trying it out again and as promised, Ricky was absolutely wonderful! I ended up purchasing a 2013 CX-5 Touring with the Bose/sunroof package... they didn't have my car on the lot.. so they hooked me up with a free loaner for a week... Ricky called the day it came in and I went that night to come and get it! From the second I walked into the dealership to the second I left with my brand new car.. I had a wonderful experience and feel like they actually value their customers!! I would definitely recommend this dealership. This dealership was straight forward... no hidden fees... and went above and beyond any expectations I had. Give them a try! More
Do NOT go here. After I agreed upon a out the door price+tax, title, license(for a used BMW M3) with the dealership manager I got the bill of sale and it was over $1500 higher. Tried adding on dealer price+tax, title, license(for a used BMW M3) with the dealership manager I got the bill of sale and it was over $1500 higher. Tried adding on dealership fees and paperwork fees. I finally got them to drop the fee's and signed the bill of sale with stipulations(full tank of gas), but when the car was delivered(from Wisconsin) the low fuel light was on. Called to dispute and sales manager(Andy) started yelling at me. I asked him how it was my fault that they didn't hold up there end of the deal and hung up on me. When I finally got a hold of them again and told them I didn't want the car because they didn't hold up there end of the deal that was written on paper and signed, they told me to bring it back(4 hour drive for me one way). I told them to come pick up the car since they didn't hold up there end of the deal both Andy and Ricky(dealership manager)yelled at me and told me they are not going to do any thing about it. Still unresolved. Again, Do NOT go here. Worst customer service I have ever had. More
I found a used car online for a good price. Filled out the credit application online. The next day they raised the price $2000!!! The first salesman (jullian) said the price increase was due to repairs th the credit application online. The next day they raised the price $2000!!! The first salesman (jullian) said the price increase was due to repairs that needed to be done to the car but couldnt tell me what repairs were being done. The seccond salesman I talked to said the price increase was a typo and there was no way he could sell the car for the original sale price. ***READ OTHER REVIEWS*** this $2000 price increase seems to be pretty consistant.........buyers beware!! I Bought a cx-7 months ago. I been having problems with this car since the first day. Every time I take it to the dealer they change parts and never fix the problem. None of the parts they change are cover this car since the first day. Every time I take it to the dealer they change parts and never fix the problem. None of the parts they change are cover for the warranty according to them. I took my car to a different mechanic, they found the problem whitin a day. The transfer case isn't working properly. (transfer case is cover by power train warranty. I took it back to the dealer but they won't fix the problem. Now they want me to change the tires. It's just crazy. Don't you ever buy here! Stay away! More
I went to this dealership a month ago for specific used SUV, when i went there they told me that they sold it, and they offered me another one, which was supposed to be similar to the one i was looking at. SUV, when i went there they told me that they sold it, and they offered me another one, which was supposed to be similar to the one i was looking at...i test drove the car and i heard clicking noise while accelerating, and navigation was not working, when i asked about the noise and navigation, i was told that they will fix everything for me, that the car has been inspected and just inspection is 700$!!! well, i was told even that this vehicle is much more better, better fuel economy and more feautures...and i believed, we got a fair price and i bought the car with the option that they will fix everything, and that was the biggest lie ever...i drove the car, in order to get home 30 miles...nightmare, i test drove it before, but due to traffic and small streets, i couldnt notice the problems....pulls to left while braking( they said that they put new brakes) passenger window is not going up byitself and cd changer had stucked CD in it.. when i got home i checked everything about the car and it turns out that the car has bad mpg, very bad... i went the next day to cancel the loan, or swap for another one...they said that they will take care of me, and they gave me a loaner...while fixing my car. i said that this car is a totally different from the vehicle i was told it is...and i want a different SUV. after a month, my car was still getting fixed... and meanwhile i was waintig for a another SUV...i tried to push them to hurry up with finding me another car...but dead end street. after month and a half, i took my car back because the kept lying to me, at the end, my car still pulls while braking, navi is not working and engine is still making ticking noise.... those guys are the biggest liers ever, they will eat you alive!!! dont believe a word they say. believe me, i lost more that 5000$..... Our needs were simpl The worst experience of our lives! We went looking for a CX-7. After driving an hour, of course the one online was just sold. Our needs were simple, CX-7, AWD, lowest miles possible. We stated our needs up front and the salesman even wrote them down on a spec. sheet. We drove another one that met our needs and liked it. The only problem was there was a huge defect in the door like someone tried to pry it open and break in. We decided that we didn't want to buy a car that needed body work. The salesman and his manager saw a sale slipping away and told us that there was another CX-7 that was "comparable" and had what we needed and just had a few more miles on it. So we decided to check it out. We drove it, liked it, and after three hours of waiting and typical salesmen pitches and problems, bought it. After the hour drive home, we started looking deeper into the car. Not only was the antenna missing, the door for the fuse panel was missing and worst of all, the car was NOT AWD. I immediately called the salesman and told him. He acted surprised and asked when we could come back in. Our next available time for the hour drive was Monday, two days later. Monday we called and were told that we would be working with General Manager Mike Z. to resolve the issue. After about five calls to Mike Z., he called us back around 4pm. He was unaware of the details of the situation and had to "look into it." I told him that I wanted to iron out the details so we could just come in and switch cars and not spend all day there. He said that there was no way we could get in the other car if we wanted the door fixed. We thought about it and called Mike Z back. We were willing to take the car and fix the door ourselves, to avoid adding cost. After three days of trying to speak to Mike Z. again, he told us that, "We never represented that car as AWD so we are not at fault." He also added that we could switch cars back to the one with the defect but the payments would definitely go up, even without them fixing the door. We let Mike Z. and our salesman know that we were coming in to speak with them and resolve this. We were told that they open at 9, our salesman would come in and Mike Z. would be there at 10:30. We arrived at 10, our salesman never showed. Julian, another manager said that Mike Z. was delayed and would be there around noon. At 12:30 we were told that Mike Z. wouldn't be coming in until about two. We left without a resolution. The next day we got a call from the corporate office, saying there would be no problem trading for the AWD car. When we finally got a hold of Mike Z., (a day later), he said that we could come in and pay a three hundred dollar restocking fee and the payments would still go up. Frustrated and tired of trying to convince someone to own up to their mistake, we stayed with the front wheel version. After five days of arguing, about fifty calls to the dealership with only about three finding someone, multiple calls to the corporate office, who also were unable to reach Mike Z. after multiple attempts, and one evasive Mike Z., we were defeated by liars who were unwilling to compromise or accommodate. The entire time they proudly declared that they were not at fault for this happening and were "Not interested in taking the car back because its not financially sound for the company". Unbelievable. To add to their deceptive ways I went online and looked up the AWD version we tried tirelessly to get. In person, the defect in the door is impossible to miss. The metal is pried out almost a full inch. However, the photos of the car online show no defect whatsoever from multiple angles. We are now following up with corporate and the BBB. This dealer is dishonest and shady! More

Mazda 3 great, dealership terrible. They obtained car color we wanted from other dealer, but not all promised options. When car came in salesman hurriedly said "The GPS is there, take it home and play wi color we wanted from other dealer, but not all promised options. When car came in salesman hurriedly said "The GPS is there, take it home and play with programming it, call with any problems". Called him with the problem of NO GPS, and 2 other "promised" features not there. "No problem", he will trade with another dealer and get the car with ALL options and call to exchange this new one with us. Never called. In person, so-called manager Julian said "WE WON'T HONOR salesman's promises, he's only been here 3 months and should not have promised you the options, so we will not give them to you." All this with salesman standing there saying "I DID PROMISE THEM THESE OPTIONS." DECEITFUL! Mazda Corporate HDQ took our complaint and sent copy to owner, but he wouldn't contact us. We wrote two times to him and he still would not respond to us. Since NO attempt to work this out, we are taking dealership's Deceit to higher levels. And...the salesman no longer works there! STAY AWAY FROM OAK LAWN MAZDA. More
DO NOT GO HERE!! Please do not think that I am exaggerating or being dramatic. This was my first time buying a car from a dealer and I could not have felt worse leaving. At first, I thought mayb exaggerating or being dramatic. This was my first time buying a car from a dealer and I could not have felt worse leaving. At first, I thought maybe this is how all dealers operate. Then I spoke to a few people and found how abnormal my experience was. I did some research and found that many others agree with me. It appears that all of the salesman had a heart transplant, but instead of having it replaced with a heart like a normal human, a spawn of the devil holding a burning swastika was implanted (ok, this may be a bit over the top). They treated me like I was stupid and had a new sales pitch every time I refused to pay asking price. First, they would not lower the price at all and sneakily added a "cert" which is a warranty, to the price without my consent. Then they tried to get me to sign a hand written document, saying I would commit to the monthly payment I want. I refused and made then re word it so I would not be legally bound...At the end I was able to get 1000$ off the car. This was after and hour of negotiating and finally raising my voice, yelling I would not buy there 2000$ rip off warranty. Please do NOT GO THERE!!!!! They are very forceful and unprofessional. Oh yeah, another group was sitting next to me and tried leaving during their process a few times. I sat there watching their person beg and demand they sit back down. The first thing the salesman asks for is your license so you can't leave when you want. It is taken to their secret "negotiating" room. More
