Very limited budget and not certain of which type of vehicle we wanted so we were lucky that Sam Palumbo was our salesman. He never tired of helping us find the best option for the price, searched rebates and showed benefits of buying from Napleton in Arlington Heights. Sam's an asset to this dealership and we'll pass the business card onto our friends. Thank you, Sam! More
Very disappointed!!! I bought a Lexus RX 350 from Napleton's in Arlington heights on Friday March 20, 2020. The listing price for the car on their website and other websites like cars.com and CarGuru Napleton's in Arlington heights on Friday March 20, 2020. The listing price for the car on their website and other websites like cars.com and CarGurus.com was $28,900 (I still have a screenshot of the ad). I had a jeep that I wanted to trade with them. They offered me 24,000 for the jeep. I had 13,400 existing loan which they said they were going to pay off and then they asked me to put a down payment of $3000 for lexus. Then they said they were going to send me a check worth $7600 (24000 for the jeep from which I had 13400 loan which they agreed to pay and 3000 down payment). I am a county employee who works night shift. I worked Thursday night and I did some shopping after that and went straight to the dealer without getting any sleep. My sales person was Simon and the general manager and him made a deal that they will offer me $24000 for my jeep only if I add 7yr 100000 miles warranty that they offer for lexus. Altogether they said my final price will be $31000 plus tax. I agreed to that. They also promised me interest rate for my auto loan 2.99% max since I have excellent credit score. Then they had me waiting for several hours and finally around 9pm, they called me to the finance manager Jeff's office. Then they were rushing me with signing the papers. Before I signed anything, I asked them about the price and they reconfirmed that the sale price of Lexus was $31000 and I put $3000 down payment and they will send me a check worth $7600. I was so sleepy and was signing the papers and I stopped when I saw the interest rate on the paper listed as 3.74%. They said that's the best rate they can give me. I didn't want to argue anymore so I agreed. They had me sign other papers too. I signed everything and thought I will review everything before I step out of the finance manager's room. However, they said they don't give paperwork to any customers and promised me that they were going to email me all the papers right away. I waited all night and didn't receive any email from them. Next day I messaged my sales person Simon. Few minutes later, the general manager called me and said they are working on it and will send the papers as soon as possible. Yesterday, I went to their office since the check engine light turned on the Lexus that I bought. While the service guys were looking at my car, I went to the finance officer's office and asked them for the paperwork. One of the finance manager printed me the paperwork and in it and I was so shocked to see the total price of the car listed as $52558 on the paper that I signed. I said I wanted to talk to the general manager. He didn't want to come out of the room. Then I said I wanted to see Jeff (finance manager who did all the paperwork), but they said he was not in the office. I said I will wait there till he comes. He came to the office few hours later and he saw me right away, but totally ignored me. I said I wanted to talk to him. He asked me to wait. I waited outside his office and finally he came out and asked me "what's up?" I showed him the papers and said you remember clearly that the final price of the car was $31k and on the paper it says $52k. He then called the general manager who came out and asked me what's the issue. I told him about the whole situation and even showed him the ad for lexus that I saved on my phone that they had in their website which clearly says the asking price was $28900. However the general manager said, "you signed all the papers. There is nothing we can do." I said they are cheating and begged the finance manager to speak the truth but he said he doesn't recall anything. I don't want them to cheat anyone else. I can buy a brand new Lexus for $52k. More
Worst Dealership Ever! Don't waste your time here. They practice deceptive advertising. The final price quoted was more than 50% (!) higher than the advertised price! Not on Don't waste your time here. They practice deceptive advertising. The final price quoted was more than 50% (!) higher than the advertised price! Not only was this frustrating after driving an hour to their showroom, but it is also illegal. I found the law stating that it is not allowed to include rebates in an advertised price unless every customer qualifies for them. Needless to say, rebates I did not qualify for were added back into the advertised price. Then there was the non-optional safety package. They may as well have just taken the cost of the tires off the advertised price and then added them back in at point of sale. Add few thousand more for 'destination fee'. Etc, etc. On top of all that, when called on this, the salesman was incredibly rude. He walked away from us pointing to the exit and said 'There's the door'. He needn't have bothered - we couldn't wait to get out of there. Happily,we found an honest dealer soon after and gave them our business. More
Our 5 1/2 hour round trip was a waste of time & gas! We were interested in purchasing a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica we saw online at a substantial discount. I questioned Justin in marketing, how could the disc were interested in purchasing a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica we saw online at a substantial discount. I questioned Justin in marketing, how could the discounts be so big compared to Central Illinois dealers? His explanation was that the Chicago area market is different and that Napleton Auto Group is so big. So we came with our 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan’s title expecting to trade in & purchase that day. However when it came down to it, we didn’t “ qualify” for any of the discounts listed in the online price. To add insult to injury, they offered $1,000. for our minivan that has 77,000 miles on it with many new maintenance items completed. When we balked, the sales manager offered $5,000 & then $6,000. However we walked out because of deceptive advertising of the discounts. They just kept asking what monthly payments we could do rather than the final purchase price. I would give them a 0 for DECEPTIVE PRICING! More
These guys are cheaters!!! Don't ever go to this place!! Had such a horrible experience. These guys are cheaters. I went there last week to trade in my Jeep wrangler. They promi Don't ever go to this place!! Had such a horrible experience. These guys are cheaters. I went there last week to trade in my Jeep wrangler. They promised me $24000 for my Jeep if I buy a vehicle from them. I went there 2 days ago to trade my jeep. I saw a 2017 Lexus rx 350 on their website. It had 55k miles on it and the listing price was $28900. I test drove the car and decided to buy it. Salesman Simon called the general manager and he said I have to add mandatory 7 yr 100000 miles certification for lexus in order to get $24k for my jeep wrangler. After negotiation, he said they will do a full inspection of the vehicle and give me 7 yr 100000 miles warranty for 2K extra (so my final sale price is 31k plus tax). I was pre-approved for 2% auto loan from my credit union for used cars since I had excellent credit. They forced me to finance with them and promised me that they will get me the best interest rate. They had me waiting there for so many hours and in between my sales man Simon would go to general manager's office and spend a lot of time in his room. Finally he came out and said they can only give me 2.99% and that is their best rate. I was very disappointed but I agreed to it. I worked the night before and after doing some shopping, I went to this dealership straight without getting any sleep. They had me waiting again for few more hours and finally around 9 PM, finance manager Jeff called me in to his office to sign all the papers. He was rushing with all the paperwork and didn't give me time to read anything. I reconfirmed the price and he promised me the final price of lexus was 31K + tax. I had an existing 13400 loan for my jeep and they said they will pay that off and asked me to put 3K down payment. Then they said they will send me a check worth $7600 (24000- 13400+3K down payment). While I was signing, I saw my interest rate as 3.74% and I asked the finance manager about it and he said he talked to so many banks and that is the best interest rate they can offer me. I was very disappointed but he said 2.99% and 3.74%, I am only going to pay 8-10$ extra per month. I didn't argue with him. After signing all the papers, I asked him for a hard copy of all the papers, but he said he will email me everything right away. I was waiting for him email all night, but he didn't send me anything. Next morning, I messaged the sales person Simon about the missing papers and requested him to send the papers as soon as he can. Few minutes later, the general manager of the store called me and said due to corona virus, they are really busy and they will email me the papers as soon as they can. 2 days later (today), I went to the dealership since they didn't send me anything and requested one of the finance managers to print me all the paperwork. I was going over it and was surprised to see the final price of the car listed in the paper as $52K. Right away I went to Simon and showed him the papers and requested to talk to the general manager and the finance manager Jeff. General manager didn't want to come out of the room and the finance manager Jeff was not in the office. I said I am going to wait there till I see Jeff. Few hours later Jeff came to the office. He saw me and ignored me at first. I kept waiting for him outside the room and finally he came out and asked me ,"whats up?" I showed him the papers and told him that the final price of the car was 31K and not 52K as listed in the paper. He said he doesn't remember anything (I bought the car 2 days ago). He then called the general manager who came out and said "This is your signature. There is nothing we can do." I had a screenshot of the ad of the lexus in their website and it had the price as 28900$ but he said he does not want to see it. Guys, please don't there. These guys are cheaters!!!!! I wish I could give them 0 stars!!! I am never going to forgive you Napleton's!!! God will punish you cheaters!! More
Deceptive practices. The sales staff was nice and understanding but I drove over an hour with price and interest rate that I had discussed for three days over email and then called twice before I dro understanding but I drove over an hour with price and interest rate that I had discussed for three days over email and then called twice before I drove there dragging my children and wife. And surprise, they couldn't come close to the agreed deal, they blamed it on third party that answers online interest ( and apparently their dealership phone claiming to be a sales manager). Just be prepared to be baited if you go there. More
Total False info and LIes Forget those fancy price reductions on new Ram trucks. All a bunch of crap to get you into the door..Even the salesman himself said hes seen no one qu Forget those fancy price reductions on new Ram trucks. All a bunch of crap to get you into the door..Even the salesman himself said hes seen no one qualify for all the incentives and discounts. Looked to good to be true being able to buy a new 2020 Ram 1500 that listed for 50K, for 32K. Not going to happen....And then he tells me theres a hidden dealer package they caharge you 2500 for thats not listed anywhere. The sales Manager was RUDE and could care less if I was there or not. Youd think the day before they were being forced to shut down do to the virus, that theyd consider all deals. Not this one. We were so far apart in price that I laughed. And they still couldnt let it go...And when I got loud about how I was being treated, I was given my keys and asked to leave as to not upset the other customers. What a joke. Wife and I have perfect credit (860), make good money, have secure long time careers, own 4 homes, 3 of which have no mortgages, had a decent trade in, and were ready to buy, until we were severely lowballed and embarrassed by the numbers we were given. Im a numbers guy and did my homework before I came in only to be insulted. Never again Napleton, and trust me, word spreads quick........BUYERS BEWARE More
Looks like they had altered my review after I wrote it, so that's pretty whack. Also seems pretty bogus to pressure someone into filling out a review about you while your standing next to them and already so that's pretty whack. Also seems pretty bogus to pressure someone into filling out a review about you while your standing next to them and already marked it 5/5 stars. Makes you wonder how legitimate all those 5 star reviews are. Guy also wanted me to mention his manager, Andrew, who I hadn't even seen or heard of til I was being told to write this review. So yeah, thanks for nothing. Their playlist was lit tho, so at least they had that. More
