At first I was apprehensive because I did not want a bigger payment than I was paying. Imagine my surprise to see that the new payment was not going to send me into the poor house! Service department treats you horrible after you own the car The sales people are nice BUT once you purchase your car and need service they are horrible. They do not accommodate you when there is a malfunction, The sales people are nice BUT once you purchase your car and need service they are horrible. They do not accommodate you when there is a malfunction, recall or defect on your brand new. I purchased a new Hyundai Sonata and had it six months with many problems, recalls and air bad defects so after many complaints I was advised to switch out my brand new car and start a whole new loan to finance another brand new Sonata (6 months of car payments gone down the drain). Now this car has been giving me problems and again recalls, so when I take my care to the service department I have to fight with them to honor my warranties, I am often inconvenienced with many trips to the dealers, long waits for repairs and there is never a loaner available. I spoke with the General Manager Ziggy ( they would only give me the first name) that would cut me off when trying to explain my case and could only tell me that "things break on cars there's nothing I can do about that", no apology for the inconvenience, no attempt to compensate, but very sarcastic and unprofessional. Needless to say I will never purchase a car from HYUNDAI again since things break on new cars and customers are left with many trips and long waits at the dealers! They treat you like royalty when you walk in to purchase the car but that goes down the drain when you become the car owner. There has not been one time that I walked into the service department and there wasn't an unhappy customer, even the cashier gave me a number to report the way they treat customers. Just sad! More
