My mom was looking to upgrade the size of her car. There was no particular make/model in mind; she just wanted a sedan. To be honest, we'd gone to Napleton because of a mailer rec'd. I had reviewed Napleton was no particular make/model in mind; she just wanted a sedan. To be honest, we'd gone to Napleton because of a mailer rec'd. I had reviewed Napleton's rating prior to visiting the dealership and was very skeptical, based on the reviews I felt like it was HIGHLY probable that we'd just do a "look-see." and leave. So, we went in with an attitude of "don't try anything; we are on to you." We advised the salesman (Graig) that we had seen their ratings and was ONLY there because of the flyer (lease a 2011 Sonata for $199). My mom wasn't able to lease (credit score). Graig went out of his way to ensure that my mother rec'd the "deal" she requested. Originally, my mom was only interested in leasing but, the deal that was worked out was such that she purchased a car. She is very pleased. We can only vouch for Graig - so if you're looking to not "get the run-around"...ask for Graig. So, unlike the other reviewers...based on our personal interactions, Napleton gets kudos. More
I have purchased many vehicle in my lifetime. I went to Edmunds website and built the Sorento that I wanted with the options and features And the price. Walked into the dealership and I was immediately w Edmunds website and built the Sorento that I wanted with the options and features And the price. Walked into the dealership and I was immediately was greeted by the Greg less who was very helpful. I showed them the print out I had from the website and they did exactly what I wanted. The sales manager frank Odeh was very helpful with the financing and making sure I was comfortable buying the truck. I would definitely recommend this dealership to all my friends and family. More
After a very short negotation process, I was given a very admirable out the door price on a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. This price was so good, that I had another dealership tell me that they couldn't match the o admirable out the door price on a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. This price was so good, that I had another dealership tell me that they couldn't match the offer. I went into the dealership with the out the door figure I was quoted, and that's exactly what I paid, not one cent more. No offense to the dealership, but I was expecting them to squeeze a fee or something in somewhere, but they didn't! They were fair with my trade, and Dave Woods, the agent I worked with, was extrememly friendly, and got me in and out in record time. The finance department was also a breeze to work with. This is my second Hyundai. The first, I purchased at another dealer. Not only did I not return for this vehicle purchase, but my next purchase will also be from Napleton. Thanks again! More
"TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE" When you are buying your car you are promised one thing but wait until you have to visit the service department "and you will" you will know exactly why I rated this dealer so po you are promised one thing but wait until you have to visit the service department "and you will" you will know exactly why I rated this dealer so poorly and even the managers are deceptive in case you try and escalate your concern which I tried they talk to you then go in the back and laugh about you. The crew at Hyundai Napelton is why car sales men have such a bad rapport..... More

****************** BUYER BEWARE!!!! ******************* ****************** BUYER BEWARE!!!! ******************* I purchased a used 2005 Cadillac xxx from the Hyundai store in Calumet City. Since the fir ****************** BUYER BEWARE!!!! ******************* I purchased a used 2005 Cadillac xxx from the Hyundai store in Calumet City. Since the first day I purchased the car I have had constant issues with the engine, the power steering and all of the electrical components in the car. Initially they were very nice, but once I signed off on all of the finance papers, geez all xxxx broke lose. My car has been in the shop 9 times, yes "9" times for the same issues since I purchased it in January. I purchaased the extended warranty to no avail, becuase it really covers nothing. Additionally after constantly breaking down, Napleton Hyundai finally gets the bright idea to send my Cadillac xxx over to their Napleton Cadillac service department for repairs. Well Napleton Cadillac claims that they re-built the engine, but just two days after getting my car back (which by the way they had for an entire month!) the problem still persisted. OH by the way, even though I had a warranty, I still had to come out of my pocket $245.00 for the following: a missing dipstick($45.00), warranty deductible ($100.00) and some other repair which was not covered by my warranty ($100.00). This happened in Late August/ EarlySeptember 2009. Now two weeks later, my electrical failed again! This was my second time being stranded in which I had to walk home! After they came and towed my car back to the dealership, I was informed that my battery was no good and becuase batteries fall under normal wear and tear of a vehicle, I would have to pay for the tow ($130.00) and the cost of replacing the battery ($300.00). Now mind you, I just paid them $245.00 just two weeks ago. Now I have a 485.00 car note, insurance, and a $430.00 car repair payments to make on a car that is supposed to be "warrantied". Napleton Hyundai sucks...!!!! Their service department sucks and once they sell you the vehicle, you suck to them. I hate Napleton Hyundai and wish they would stop "f" ing people over. Oh did I mention, while they are holding onto my car for repairs right now... I have to catch the bus to work and walk everywhere I go becuase I dont have a car nor a loaner from them to use. Again let me remind you that I am paying a $485.00 car note to ride the bus! Napleton Hyundai refused to do ANYTHING about the situation. They are blaming Napleton Cadillac who is now saying to me, just shut up and pay me basically. Not only is this situation disheartnening, but the only reason I even purchased a car from them is becuase a long time friend of mine works for them now and I brought the car because of him. Even he is now acting as if "they" are doing me a favor, when he KNOWS good and well that I was given a very SHADY deal. I just want justice.... not aggravation. I wish I would have saved my money, time, effort and sanctity by not even going to them. ****** BUYER BEWARE ******** More
JOE the used car sales manager is DECEPTIVE, UNETHICAL, and HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CONSCIENCE WHAT SO EVER! I had negotiated a sale for 08 Ford Focus SEL, black with black leather and moon roof. Very hard to f and HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CONSCIENCE WHAT SO EVER! I had negotiated a sale for 08 Ford Focus SEL, black with black leather and moon roof. Very hard to find locally. He knew I was to drive 106 miles with a 1 way rented car, to make this purchase. I had spoken with him Re: consumer protection law in IL vs. WI.( undisclosed repairs not showing on Carfax reports etc.) He assured me not a problem. He stated "I don't sell wrecked cars!" and he only holds cars for 30-90 days because of great pricing! Hence, $1500 less than other dealers. I know (Too good to be true it probably is.), my bad. When I arrived I could see the car had a horrible 1 ft. gouge on 2 doors!! The repair, if you can call it that, could be seen from 20 ft. away! Yes, this small oversight ,on his part. Was never communicated to me, in the multiple conversations we had over several days. While, negotiating price to entice me to drive 2.5 hours one way. He would not look me in the face, gave no apology, but did offer me this.. You are buying a used car!! What do you expect? My reply, "This is an abused car and wouldn't give you a penny for it! I will report you to the BBB and file a complaint to the owner!!" I walked out the door and drove 2.5 hours back to Milwaukee. Lesson learned- If our economy isn't enough to put car dealerships out of business, irreputable guys like Joe will!! Good luck River Oaks Hyundai, looks like your reputation is sinking quick!!! Could your problem be Joe? More
Just like the other reviewer, morgan lied to get us to come to the store. We had a 200 mile drive to get there, found a 2002 through autotrader. Called at 6pm friday to confirm it was there and set come to the store. We had a 200 mile drive to get there, found a 2002 through autotrader. Called at 6pm friday to confirm it was there and set up an appointment to see it. Gave him my name, number and told him we would be there before 10AM the next day. Get there before 10 and they claim the car sold the night before. Tried to get us into a car with more than 2x the miles and 5 years older for the same price. After 3 hours of arguing with them, we left with no satisfaction, not even a tank of gas to compensate for the trouble. I would NEVER do business with them. They have no interest in cash sales. They are a predatory finance dealership. They only want "sign and drive, no credit, no problems" style of sales where they can charge a premium for junk vehicles and finance them at 20%+ interest. Stay away. Far away. More
The sales staff including sales manger Morgan lied to me about their current inventory in order to get us to come down to the dealership. They gave us a list of cars they had in which we were going to see. about their current inventory in order to get us to come down to the dealership. They gave us a list of cars they had in which we were going to see. They quoted us the exact mileage, colors, trim line, year, ect. We were apprehensive to drive so far to see the cars since we lived about 2 hours away, but after calling 4 times to verify the information with different staff in the dealership, we decided to trust the sales manager who was our final call, and made the trip out there. I set out with my wife and baby prepared to look at the 4 cars available in the years we were looking for, as well as 4 more they mentioned in 2007 model that we could consider if we were willing to buy newer. It ended up taking us 2.5 hours to arrive, and we were ready to pick one of the cars we had heard about and drive it home. We were just planning to look them over to find the one in the best condition and do a test drive and write a check. Instead, shockingly, not one of the cars they described on the phone that morning and over the past 3 days was actually on the lot. I have heard of car dealers who will tell you they have a car just to get you to come on down and visit the car dealership, and while I think this is unacceptable and shady practice, I know it does in fact happen. We were looking for a very specific vehicle. We specified the year, mileage range, and trim line we were seeking, and were not willing to waver from that. We asked numerous employees in the store of their stock, including the sales manager, and received the same info from each sales person complete with color, trim, miles, price, ect. We felt assured at this point that they would have the cars they told us about and expected to see them on the lot when we arrived. But we were all too trusting it seems. They had similar cars to the ones we were seeking, but all were different in one way or another. They had the colors they told us about, but on 3 the trim line was not what they said, on the other, the price was off by several thousand dollars, and on the three 2007 they suggested we consider, they were about $10,000 off from the price they quoted us on the phone, because they were not actually used at all or near the 20,000 mile range...but demos, with approx 5,000 miles each, for which they commanded a higher price. I have never been so appalled at a sales team in all my life. How an entire group of sales staff, and the manager could all lie about their stock to lure me in, when they all knew we were coming from over 2 hours away and with a baby in tow.....we were in utter disbelief. I have called countless dealerships over the past 3 months, and visited just as many in order to find and buy myself and my wife each a car. This is the only dealership out of at least 50 that lied about their stock, and was so completely rude to us when we showed up. They kept asking what we were looking for as if they didn’t know, and how much we were looking to spend. To this moment I am amazed they would even be in business. Edward Napleton ought to be ashamed of the business he runs, and may he be greeted with the same dishonesty, disregard, and disrespect as we were in all his future dealings. More
