Service above and beyond I had the fortunate/unfortunate situation of having our car have a complete engine failure while visiting our family in Indianapolis for a wedding. It was through this situation that I began a relationship with Kevin Pettijohn and the Napleton Hyundai family. Kevin and his team were extraordinary. We are a five car Hyundai family and due to the actions of Kevin and the Napleton Hyundai of Carmel team we now are 6! Our car had a complete failure and Hyundai stood behind their product and replaced our entire engine. Issues will happen but the fact that Hyundai stood behind their issue meant the world to our family. As a result we know have a brand new engine and also bought a brand new Tuscon as well. Because of their actions Hyundai earned my business again and kept us as a loyal customer. Kevin and the team helped us navigate the replacement, helped with our rental car as well as had us back on the road within a week. Incredible. They put a full team behind the replacement and got us back on the road again! To the entire team at Napleton thank you! Thank you! Kevin you are an amazing example of what great looks like! Terrible Service Department!! BEWARE! BEWARE!!!! DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! This dealership has had my vehicle since early December waiting on a new engine. The engine h BEWARE!!!! DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! This dealership has had my vehicle since early December waiting on a new engine. The engine has now been installed but the the dealership said” they have a problem” that the battery in my vehicle which has sat in my car since early December in record cold Indiana temperatures is now completely dead “obviously” that’s what happens in the cold when the vehicle is not in a heated facility and started on a regular ,now they want me to purchase a battery for 190 dollars and install it..ie connect the positive and negative cable for the low cost of 45 dollars ha what a joke .. when I asked them if they had a battery that they could put in the vehicle to do the test drive, the service manager said they couldn’t just put any battery in the vehicle “obviously” I know this I’m not a ignorant individual but aren’t you a Hyundai Dealership?? No batteries around that are compatible with my vehicle make and model?? Hmmm.. guess not this is by far the worst experience I have had with a dealership they lied continually until I started complaining about my service than they started to contact me..One time I even spoke with the service manager for over 10 mins only to realize that he was talking about somebody else’s vehicle the whole time, talk about being organized what a joke so you already know what their other services would be but BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP NOW THEY WILL REPLIE WITH A AUTO RESPONSE OF GET IN CONTACT WITH US LIKE THEY ARE GONNA SOLVE THE ISSUES TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD ON THE REVIEWS.. Terrible Service Department I purchased my pre owned 2013 Kia Optima hybrid from them in January. After the purchase I noticed there was no oil change sticker. When I contacted t I purchased my pre owned 2013 Kia Optima hybrid from them in January. After the purchase I noticed there was no oil change sticker. When I contacted the dealer come to find out the vehicle never received an oil change or inspection prior to the sale. But they said I could bring the car back at any time without an appointment to get it taken care of free of charge. A few weeks later my backup camera stopped working. So I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for the oil change and to get the backup camera fixed. When I arrived the service team was extremely unorganized and unprofessional. The advisor asked why I was there and said they didnt have an appointment on file. I told him the services I needed, and rather than being thankful for the business, he asked why I didn’t just take my car to a Kia dealership. They owed me an oil change and I purchased my car from them so that’s why I was there... I offered to reschedule if it was a problem but the service advisor said it should only take about an hour and a half at the most, so I decided to wait. My car didn’t move off of the service drive for over an hour. They finally pulled it back and I waited yet another hour. I figured they were actually fixing the backup camera. But after 2.5 hours the service advisor came out to tell me that the camera is broke? Something I already knew coming into the dealer... he said they had to get the part from a different store and then install it. So I continued to wait over another hour. He then told me they couldn’t get the part today so they will call me when it gets in to schedule another appointment for the installation. So I figured my car was ready to go for the day. But no I waited 30 more minutes because the oil change wasn’t completed. When they finally finished the advisor never gave me any paperwork from the oil change, no service RO, no multipoint inspection, not even a business card.. That visit was on February 25th and today is now March 21st, almost a month later and I have yet to recieve a single call or email. I have personally called in and emailed several times to both the service department, my sales person, and the general manager just trying to get an update. I haven’t received a single email back and when I call in the receptionist just tells me she will deliver the message and they will get back with me. So basically I waited 4 hours that day just to get an oil change that was suppose to be done before I even purchased the car. And my backup camera is still broke. This service department has terrible customer service and organization. Definitely would not recommend taking your car here unless you want to be extreamly disappointed and inconvenienced. More
