Edward W. Napleton opened his first automotive business in 1931 on Chicago's South Side. With a $700 loan, a strong work ethic and a belief in common courtesy, he opened the Napleton Buick Service Station. Francis Napleton, Edward's son, was by his side to help foster the growth of the young business in its early years.
Napleton's first dealership was a DeSoto franchise. When that brand was discontinued with little warning, Napleton quickly aligned itself with another Chrysler nameplate, Plymouth, eventually being awarded several additional franchises. Edward and Francis both believed in hard work and exceptional customer service, values that they passed down to the next generation of Napletons. Five of Francis' eight children have worked in the auto business their entire lives.
Edward F. (Ed) Napleton, Francis' son, is a third-generation auto dealer. He began his career as a kid sweeping the floors at the dealership owned by his father and grandfather. He moved up the ranks, serving as a technician, then in sales and finance, and eventually as a general manager. At just 23 years of age, Ed became the youngest car dealer in the United States when he was awarded a Pontiac dealership in Blue Island, Illinois.
Today, the Ed Napleton Family operates more than 79 franchises in eight states. Taking pride in helping each community they live and work in, the Napleton Family name has become synonymous with excellence and teamwork. What started as a small family-owned business has blossomed into one of the most forward-thinking dealership groups in the country. Four of Ed's five children have proudly joined him in pursuing the family business and have a hand in the company's day-to-day operations.

Went in with a pre-approval from my bank and all they wanted to do was try to finance us thru them. Can some one add this up? $7000 vehicle, they came back with $247 a month for 4 years. They acted like being pre-approved was a bad thing. Horrible experience and to think I drove 2 hours to get there. Don't even bother to look at what price they have on their tags or internet. Don't waste your time like I did, we even took off work to do this. More

Out for your money, especially that kid named Dominic Some dealer named Dominic tried to rob me blind. I am a teenager buying a car for my first time, but I know prices after doing my research. A Hyundai Sonata was listed at 11,500 with 56k miles which is a fair deal for the listing in our current economic market. My mom leaves thinking I can handle my own, and about five seconds after she walks out the door, Dominic comes up and asks for over $14,000 for the car. I explain why I am confused on how he got to that price, so he goes back and talks to his manager. His trainee comes back out 10 minutes later and tells me the best they can do is $13,000. I walk out at that point knowing they are simply trying to take my hard-earned money. About 15 minutes later, Dominic calls back and tells me they can do $12,500. I told him no. Then about 3 hours later Dominic calls again telling me the car is 12,250. I simply said no out of principle after all that. Totally would've given him my money if that was his first offer. This dealership is simply out for your money, be warned. Fight for your fair price. The employees were also the only people in the store not wearing face masks. Protect your ******* customers Napleton! It's not that hard to do better. More

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM! Spoke to a sales person on Wednesday told them we would be driving 2 1/2 hours to see a Honda CR-V and had money down and a check from our bank. We were assured it was at the dealership and she could schedule us a VIP appointment. We agreed and today on our way an hour into or drive we called and spoke to someone making sure again the car was still there. They assured us it was and that they still had us down for our appointment. We show up and someone is signing for the car. Are you kidding me? I loaded my kids up in the car, drove 2 1/2 hours. Called again to reassure the review I had been reading were maybe just a issue here and there. Nope looks like this happens all the time.
