I went in for an oil change, and I definitely won't go back for anything else, ever. When I was telling my rep what I was in for, he interrupted, told me to go wait at a desk, and walked away. This wa back for anything else, ever. When I was telling my rep what I was in for, he interrupted, told me to go wait at a desk, and walked away. This was *right* after he asked me what I was in to have done. When it was time to pay, he was impatient about me closing up my computer and just told me to follow him. I just left my computer in sight and followed him to the counter where he told me that my car was done and the cashier would take care of me. He could just as easily have taken my paperwork to the front and told me it was there. The biggest problem was outside of the scope of my service. I watched a service rep tell someone with a Civic hybrid CVT that rolling back on hills several feet was normal when starting. The owner has *two* Civic hybrid CVTs, and knew that this was not true. When I later told the reps that the Civic has an anti-creep clutch, one of the reps rolled his eyes and said "so?" I told him that I didn't know the customer, but they should tell him what is wrong with his fairly new Civic. The rep actually mumbled "whatever..." They also left the plastic floor-mat and mirror-hanger tag in my car (like I need more garbage). This dealer won't get a second chance. More
I just had a perfect car sales transaction on a 2007 Honda Fit. A fair quote was arrive at over email, an accurate estimate of how long it would take for the car to arrive was provided, and the car was Honda Fit. A fair quote was arrive at over email, an accurate estimate of how long it would take for the car to arrive was provided, and the car was delivered as promise. No fuss, no tricks, no xx. My wife was so pleased with what she saw that she said she was ready to buy a car tomorrow. Everything went down just like I like it -- extras were offered, but simple "no, thank yous" were sufficient. No haggling, no fast-talking, just a simple sales with the terms we arrived at. I was waiting for something to go wrong, but it didn't. As you can tell, I'm happy. I highly recommend you contact Mike A. via internet for a Honda purchase. More
We were called at 7:30pm by the sales manager to tell us that the car we put a deposit on came in. He demanded that we come in that night to pick it up or he was going to sell it to another person who want that the car we put a deposit on came in. He demanded that we come in that night to pick it up or he was going to sell it to another person who wanted it. We had plans that night and also couldn't get the money for the down payment as the banks were closed. We asked if we could come in the next day and he said no, he would sell it to someone else. It took us 1/2 an hour to get there and the dealership closed at 9pm. We got there and the sales manager, in a condescending tone, claimed that he never said that and he would have waited. We filled out paperwork, applied for financing and finally decided we couldn't take the car because we wouldn't have been happy about it having been strongarmed into buying it. When we said we weren't going to take it because of this awful experience, the salesperson, Gosia, stormed out of the room. In addition to the bad service, Gosia knew absolutely nothing about the car we were buying and couldn't answer any of our questions. The owner of this dealership has not responded to our correspondence regarding this experience. More
Last night I went to Castle to purchase the last 2005 Honda Civic Sedan LX 4D...I spent an hour with the salesman, who was great, but when we went inside to close the deal, someone else bought the car ri Honda Civic Sedan LX 4D...I spent an hour with the salesman, who was great, but when we went inside to close the deal, someone else bought the car right from underneath us! Apparently another salesman was working the car the same time mine was. What’s the deal here? Two salesmen selling the same car at once? Two people at a bidding war with each other? Come on! I was ready to close and I as told, well it’s been sold. Poor management is to blame here, allowing your employees to fight over who get the deal, and the commission. I'd avoid Castle Honda when shopping in Chicago Land area. More
The check engine light was flashing from time to time when i take the car up to 5k to 6 k rpm. So I called Castle Honda's service department to describe the problem. What i was told was that the CHECK when i take the car up to 5k to 6 k rpm. So I called Castle Honda's service department to describe the problem. What i was told was that the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT comes on as a precaution measure when i'm too high in the rpm, mind you the car redlines at around 7k, so i'm not doing anything not within the limit of the car, so i kindly told the service person, if it's a precaution measure, it should come on all the time instead of once in a blue moon; I was told then that unless the light stays on they can't not look at it, I then told him sometimes the code will register even it's only flashing; further more I pointed out that alot of 6 speed 04 models are having the same problem, there is something on hondatech (honda's intranet of some sort) about it describing a faulty crankshaft position sensor; but nope, the code has to stay on. At this point, I just hung up the phone, realize getting my car service by some "professional" that knows less about the car then myself is just not a good idea. So stay away from castle honda in skokie if you need to get the car serviced More
