I have been a customer (both service and sales) of this Dealership for about 16 years now and I must say they are good people to deal with. I had a nagging problem with my 2008 Explorer and while it did t Dealership for about 16 years now and I must say they are good people to deal with. I had a nagging problem with my 2008 Explorer and while it did take a few visits to sort out the actual problem they did get get to the bottom of it. The initial visit for this issue was under warranty. At the time Gene Holst the Service Manager after consulting with Ford indicated he was not sure the problem was fixed but should a fix come about he would take care of it. Two years later I had the issue looked into again and Gene stood by his word and the problem has finally been fixed. I have tried other places for service as like most you sometimes get the feeling the dealer is overpriced but I have learned over the years no one knows the car better than the dealer. They have the training, knowledge and tools to service the car in a much more efficient manner than others I have tried. The sales department is also very good to deal with. One of the things that I like about this dealership is the lack of turnover with key people like Gene Holst and that says a lot. I will continue to do business with Napleton Ford as long as I live in the area and they continue to conduct business this way. More
I bought my Ford F250 from Napleton. They were in teh right location and after going to Treucar.com to get Good, Better, Best price quotes, i went to napleton adn they actually beat the best price. I have had my vehicle in for two scheduled oil changes and one unscheduled service issue - a major problem with the brakes. They had done excellent work and treated me very well with a loaner car for teh brake isue which lasted several days. I would not hesitate to recommend them and I would definitely buy from them again. More

Jay was very helpful nice and funny, he did the best he could to help me with the purchase of a new vehicle. Kevin Gordon on the other hand was very rude disrespectful. Brought truck for antifreeze leak, gave me an estimate to replace hose and t-stat housing along with 2 light bulbs and fix a leak in a tire. Eric service writer responded we will try to help you out with the price when done. got the bill for the entire amount they went ahead and replaced the bulbs and fixed the tire even though I said no and charged full price for all repairs including the ones I said not to perform. To top it off 5000 miles later truck is leaking antifreeze worse than ever. More
I am a masters student and as such on a very tight budget. I didn't really want to have a monthly payment as finances are tight, but I had put $2000 in the '96 Saturn I was driving over the past year budget. Tim was very upfront with my family and I and went above and beyond to find a safe and reliable car for me. Tim and Jeff went back and forth with the banks and the prices of the car and my trade in for hours in order to get the car I liked down to a price I could afford. I had been all over the other dealerships in the area and none of them were as friendly or helpful as the staff at Napleton Ford. I will go back there anytime I am in need of a new or used car as they are genuinely good people who will bend over backwards to help you find what you need. More
I recently purchased a Land Rover LR3 from Napleton Ford in Libertyville & feel compelled to write a review on the team I worked with as these guys were more than just sales people, they have the customers in Libertyville & feel compelled to write a review on the team I worked with as these guys were more than just sales people, they have the customers best interests at heart & take service to a whole new meaning. Tim who greated me on arrivcal at the dealership has a calm & pleasant demaenour let me view the vehicle & didnt pounce on me or hassle me at all. We went on a really long test drive, way more than I expected to ensure I was truly happy with the vehicle, chatting the whole way round more like friends than a salesman. Being from overseas & having recently moved to the US, arranging payment for the car once we had agreed the sale wasnt simple but Napletons were really accomodating & trusting allowing me to take the car away despite only recieving partial payment. They fixed any blemishes or marks on the car to a very high standard & i'm fussy but cant fault the workmanship. Thanks again to this great team & in particular, Tim & Steve, you guys are awesome & a real pleasure to deal with. I'll be back & will relay my thoughts to anyone I meet who are looking for a new / used car. Regards Grant Ford More
Gene Holst is probably the best service manager with whom I have ever dealt. One concern any customer has in dealing with automobile service is whether the customer will get ripped off, since the customer d I have ever dealt. Gene Holst acted in such a way as to engender my trust -- he was always looking for the less expensive alternative to undertaking work on my vehicle. The dealership certainly made money off of me, and the rates are not inexpensive, but Gene tried to keep the costs down and looked out for my interests. He is fantastic, and since he is the Service Manager, I trust that his attitude flows down to others in his department. He alone would make me a long-time Napelton customer, since a trusting service department is essential in any automobile purchase. Kudos to Gene Holst! -- Ken Ashman More
