We were in the market for a late model 4Runner and had been working with another Toyota Dealer but could not seem to find the right car at the right price. On Saturday afternoon we stopped in to Nalley on been working with another Toyota Dealer but could not seem to find the right car at the right price. On Saturday afternoon we stopped in to Nalley on a whim on our way to Starbucks. I had no intention of buying a car from this dealership or even this day. No one else had yet found what we wanted so i did not set my hopes too high. We met Gerald and told him exactly what we needed including options and price. He asked that we sit down while he did a little homework to see what he could come up with to match our wish list. Within 10 minutes he came back and described a CPO 4Runner that sounded perfect in every category - actually - more than we needed or asked for. Before we test drove it, I told him again what our bottom line was so we wouldn't waste each others time. He put out a number which was a little above our number but the car was way above our expectations so we felt it was worth a look see. Easiest test drive I have ever done. He was very knowledgeable about the car and knew every option and how it worked. My wife was with me and even though the 4Runner was for me, Gerald took the time to get my wife in the drivers seat and get her comfortable with the car as well. When we got back to the dealership he even had her park it to make sure she was OK with a car this size. Very professional. In addition to the standard options, he even went through all of the 4 wheel drive features. I credit Gerald with helping us to refine our wish list and recognize that for a few dollars more we would be much happier with some additional options and a step up in models. When we got to the negotiating table I won't lie and say it was easy. Yes, we did go through the back and forth that most of us don't enjoy or have the patience to endure. Throughout the process, I felt like Gerald really was our advocate. Working with his managers, we were able to arrive at a price that worked for both of us. It was late so we just signed the deal and decided to pick up the car the next day - Sunday. Gerald volunteered to come in on his day off and walk us through the rest of the paperwork and orientation on the car. He didn't miss a thing - set up the bluetooth, introduced us to a service advisor and walked me through all of the electronics and mechanical features of the car. I don't often give salesmen credit but Gerald deserves some recognition for knowing his product, listening to his customer and finding the right vehicle. This is the first time I have ever bought a car on my fist visit to a car dealership. Credit is also due to Nalley for having the right car at the right price. More
Kudos to Travis Mattox for helping me through the difficult process of finding the right car and making the magic happen. I ended up with much more of a car than I expected, with a price that fit my difficult process of finding the right car and making the magic happen. We enjoyed dealing with Gerard Perminter who sold us a Toyota. Gerard was extremely polite and patient, and not pushy. He worked on our timetable. The sales manager Greg and all the other sales people on the floor were also very pleasant and nice to our kids while we went through the process. The parts guy who sold us an accessory was nice as well. Any less than perfect scores here are due to some of the business people. Michelle was excellent, but the others in the various offices were unsmiling and unfriendly, and probably should not be in customer service positions without more training. More
Horrible experience with Nalley Toyota. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! I bought my car Oct. 21, salesman was nice but continued to rush me to come inside and talk about the price while I was clearly still lo DEALERSHIP! I bought my car Oct. 21, salesman was nice but continued to rush me to come inside and talk about the price while I was clearly still looking at the car. After I decided to purchase the car I did financing with Michelle Howlan. While waiting on the paperwork to be completed, she had to go talk to her boss to correct taxes that weren't correctly put into the contract to begin with. I had to wait about 30 minutes for them to correct the mistake and she told me they may be able to offer a discount for their mistake. They never did. About 5 days before my temporary tag expired, I called to check on the status of my tag. The lady in tag and title said that nothing had been done to get me my tag, she said that my deal was being audited and that was the reason for the delay. She finally sent off the paperwork to my county in which it was sent to the states drivers license office instead of my counties tag and title office. When the paperwork was sent to the correct office, I went to get my tag and the said I had to pay $747 in taxes. I called Nalley to see where the mistake was because all this was supposed to be taken care of in the deal. I talked with Michelle and she was going to see what the mistake was. After several more follow up attempts to call her, I was not able to get in contact with her. I left numerous voicemails on her phone over several weeks and never got a call back. On another attempt to call Monday Dec 2nd I got ahold of her and she said that they made a mistake on the taxes and sent me to Steven Snyder to talk to him. He said that the zip code for my county was put in incorrectly BY HIM for the zip in Roswell instead of my home zip code in another state. He said he was going to look into the issue and call me back that Wednesday. After not hearing from him for a week I called back and he did not answer his phone. I called Michelle and she talked to him and said he was talking to the General Manager and for me to leave him a voicemail and he would call me back. He never called me back. I called the next day and Michelle sent me to the Customer Service Manager who had an answer. He said that the incorrect taxes were their mistake and that I was stuck paying them out of pocket. He and Steven told me that they could not finance them correctly into the deal because it had been too long, even though I had been calling them for weeks to get an answer with no one calling me back and I explained to him that is why this has taken so long. He said the General Manager was unwilling to help my situation and they were not going to do anything to correct their mistake. He did not have an answer as to why my numerous voicemails to Michelle and Steven were never returned. STAY AWAY FROM NALLEY TOYOTA OF ROSWELL More
