Pleasant car buying experience I thought I would never use these words in a sentence, but I truly had a painless, pleasant experience buying my new car from Nalley Honda. Jeremy Mahaffey and Steven Miller use these words in a sentence, but I truly had a painless, pleasant experience buying my new car from Nalley Honda. Jeremy Mahaffey and Steven Miller were direct, straightforward, courteous and helped me get the best deal I could get in the market. I don’t buy cars regularly, the last one I bought was 8 years ago, but if my experience was like this before I would not hesitate to change my car more often. I know this because I had done a lot of research leading to the purchase, so I knew: (1) the MSRP for the car, (2) the dealer invoice price, (3) the trade-in value of my car from multiple places, (4) the interest rate from multiple lenders, and (4) the most competitive price offered by other 10 dealers in the area. Here is a quick summary of my experience: 1. I reached out to 12 dealers within 100 miles from my house via email/phone call. 2. Jeremy replied the next day with the best offer from all. It took about a week for all of the other dealers to reply with offers that were from $2k to $4k higher than his offer. 3. I went back to every other dealer to see if they could beat the price from Jeremy. Their responses ranged from “sorry, cars are in short supply so I can’t lower my price a single penny” to implying that I was lying. At the end, three dealers came back with offers that were within $100-$500 from Nalley’s. This took about another week and multiple calls, emails, and texts. 4. I got trade-in value for my car from: Carvana, CarMax, Edmunds, and Nalley Honda. Again, Nalley Honda had the best offer. 5. I reached out to Jeremy because I didn’t like the color of the car in the quote so I asked if he could change it for a white one, his response “no problem”. 6. Being comfortable that they had the best price, and knowing the invoice price for the car was, I called Jeremy and told him that I was going to make an offer to the top 3 (lowest price) dealers that could be considered a “low ball” but to please consider it. He asked: “what do you want the price to be?”, I answered “$X dollars”, he responded “when can you pick it up?”. 7. I told him I would be financing it there, he told me the financing options, which were the best in the market, so I picked one and told him I would be there the next day first thing in the am. 8. I went the next day, Steve was waiting for me. My car was inspected while I test drove the new car, by the time we came back from the test drive it took anther 10-15 minutes to finish the paperwork (confirm my trade in value, firm up the financing, etc.) and another 15-20 mins. in the financing office signing all of the papers and I was done. 9. Total time interacting with Jeremy/Steve from Nalley Honda 1 ½ hours, including the time spent at the dealership. People dread the experience of buying a car from a dealership because of all of the back and forth and negotiation tricks that some dealers play with buyers. I have experienced this myself with my nearest Honda dealer (Ed Voyles Honda). However, if all of the dealers were like Nalley Honda, and Jeremy and Steven, the stigma that some bad apples give the industry would disappear. More

Steer clear from this place. The salespeople were very rude and unprofessional. My significant other had called early afternoon on 2/16/22 interested in what Nalley had in stock for new and used civics. The lady was sweet and said the manager would have us taken care of when we got there. This was NOT the case. We arrived at the dealership at our appointment time at 5:30, and there was a less than expected greeting at the door. Some salesperson opened the door and asked us “are you Gabriel?”. We said no and we had an appointment. After looking my s.o up and down seeing he just got off work. He then asked us what we were there for and then told us there were no used civics or new ones. I understand the car market at the moment, however the look he gave us made it very clear he did not want to help us. No worries. We will take our business elsewhere. More

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING. Stay FAR away from this dealership. My daughter purchased a car from this dealership in May, 2021. She is 22, just graduated from college and was in a car crash on May 9, 20 dealership. My daughter purchased a car from this dealership in May, 2021. She is 22, just graduated from college and was in a car crash on May 9, 2021, thus requiring a new car (oh and she had a concussion the day she came in and ended up in the emergency room after her visit). She recently relocated to AL from our home state of PA so she was buying on her own. The salespeople and finance people completely took advantage of her naiveté. They asked her if she wanted anything additional for the car: she said she wanted wheel locks and a cargo mat. They added Resist All splashguards to the item sheet (without her realizing it). All total, she ended up paying $2k that she did not realize she agreed to. I tried discussing this with the dealership but there was no budging. I chalked it up to her as a lesson learned and to read EVERYTHING. I warn anyone to steer clear of this dealership if at all possible. Their service is terrible and the management team is beyond reproach. More
