On 3 separate occasions I have had additional unnecessary work recommended when my car was in shop for routine maintenance. 1. In 2007, rear differential service was done at 23,689 miles which Honda recomme work recommended when my car was in shop for routine maintenance. 1. In 2007, rear differential service was done at 23,689 miles which Honda recommends at 90,000 miles. Credit issued when I brought to manager attention on subsequent visit. 2. In 2009, brakes were recorded at 3mm and replacement suggested at 61,941, Independent shop said unnecessary and subsequent visit to Nalley showed brakes 6-7mm and not necessary. Replaced in January 2012 at 107,497 miles! 3. Most recent, January 7, 2013, brought in for recall and oil change. Fancy form with "cautioned tasks" recommended $1038.67 in additional work of which $90 was legitimate. I will do my best to publicize the ripoff practices of this dealership for the unwary consumer who may be blinded by the razzle dazzle of the furnishings. More
I brought my 2000 Honda Accord into this dealership for the 105k mile timing belt/water pump replacement. It cost me over $1000. I was under the impression the 12k mile/12 month warranty was good at any the 105k mile timing belt/water pump replacement. It cost me over $1000. I was under the impression the 12k mile/12 month warranty was good at any Honda Dealership nation wide (which is true). After I had the work done, I moved 8 hours away to go to college. I then soon after discovered my car had a major oil leak coming from the timing cover that was saturating my timing belt and could cause it to snap and total my engine at any time. My new mechanic told me this was caused by negligence on the part of the mechanic who did the timing belt replacement and that he/she scratched my camshaft, making it unable to hold in the 3 seals that keep the oil from leaking. When I called the Honda Dealership in Brunswick, they lied to me and told me they were not required to cover the warranty at any other dealership but that I had to drive the vehicle 8 hours south to their location if they wanted the work to be covered under the warranty. This is against Honda Franchise policy as the warranty is legally held accountable at any dealership. Never ever ever take your car here to get serviced. More
I went to Nalley and was waited on hand and foot. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. And they gave me an excellent deal. If your looking to buy go at the end of the month and end of the day (5pm). Our worst car buying experience ever! We found a car on the internet that we were interested in and the salesman offered to have drivers bring it to our home 3 hours away on Saturday. We were assured that the internet that we were interested in and the salesman offered to have drivers bring it to our home 3 hours away on Saturday. We were assured that the car was in pristine condition. When the drivers arrived with the car, we noticed that the driver's rear passenger side panel had been repainted. We called the dealership and inquired about the paint job to the salesman, who had no knowledge of repair. We were then passed along to the internet sales manager Chip who denied the repair, then "suddenly remembered" that the car had been one of 14 on their lot keyed by vandals. We were still willing to purchase the vehicle if the dealership would provide a lifetime warranty on the repainted job, which they did. We signed all of the paperwork and gave our personal check for the full price to the drivers. When signing the paperwork, we declined to sign the arbitration form that eliminates the customer's right to a hearing by judge or jury if there is ever a dispute. The drivers told us that they needed to hear us say that we declined to sign, which we verbalized, and sent them on their way with our money. On Monday we received a phone call from the salesman telling us we had to sign the arbitration form. We explained our position to the salesman, who then sent us to the finance manager David Hunt who said the form is mandatory asked us to please bring the car back to Brunswick 3 hours away and they would return our money. We told them they could come get it if they did not want to complete the sale. David Hunt then sent us to Frank Reynolds, the sales manager, who said that we had to sign the form or they would pick up the car and return our check to us. I am still waiting for an apology for accepting our money without fully disclosing their terms. They did apologize for "my anger" in a very demeaning manner. I have asked to speak to the GM but the plan is for them to pick up the car for which we already gave them money. It makes me wonder if their cars were keyed not by "vandals" but by disgruntled customer(s) that this dealership abused. Buyers BEWARE - they do not care about earning your business. More
Via phone, I secured an interest rate, made a down payment (or so I thought), and asked my salesman, Ryan, specific questions to ensure that there was no damage to the vehicle I was about to purchase payment (or so I thought), and asked my salesman, Ryan, specific questions to ensure that there was no damage to the vehicle I was about to purchase and that my trade-in value was substantial. Upon my arrival after a long-distance drive (9hrs), I found a very large chip in the passenger’s side mirror. While I had been guaranteed an interest rate over the phone and subsequently made a down-payment to hold the vehicle and lock in the rate, David, the financier, informed me that my interest rate had increased from two days prior, stating that they never charged my credit card in case I changed my mind (at their discretion) and said nothing could be done. I was also informed that my truck would only detract $500 from the sales price. David apologized, stating that Ryan was wrong in withholding the trade-in information and offered to let me drive my original vehicle back to Tennessee to sell it person to person. But my wife couldn’t drive a manual transmission. I was stuck. I also specifically asked if my payment and final price included taxes before signing the contract; David assured me that it did. However, upon returning home and applying for tags, the Tennessee DMV stated that my paperwork indicated that no tax was paid. I called David to straighten things out and was told that Nalley Honda had made yet another mistake: He forgot to add tax to my payment, a payment that was already $30 per month higher than the payment I had agreed to over the phone when I made the down-payment and agreed to drive to Georgia. I only had a couple of days left before my tags expired, so I very reluctantly signed a new financial agreement, raising my monthly payments even further, to avoid the tickets and fines for driving with expired tags. I reported this to corporate and heard from a local "investigator" that promised to do an investigation and "fix the situation" but have heard nothing since. No genuine attempt was made to mend my dissatisfaction. More
Tom Bomar was a pleasure to with. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new car. He was informative about the dealership. Afirmed that the service department was top rated. I don't feel like I got the pricing I should have got. I didn't realize until after I signed the paperwork that they were not discounting the window sticker price any and I have never paid sticker price for didn't realize until after I signed the paperwork that they were not discounting the window sticker price any and I have never paid sticker price for a vehicle. With the amount of cash down payment I gave I feel like I could have gone to another dealership and got a better deal, the internet is evidence of it with dealerships just a few miles away. After working late, I arrived at Nalley Honda just as they were closing (I did not know that at the time) and Linda welcomed me in and showed me the new CR-Z. We talked at length while sitting in the ca they were closing (I did not know that at the time) and Linda welcomed me in and showed me the new CR-Z. We talked at length while sitting in the car. I came by after work the following day to take a test drive. Linda's enthusiasm for the CR-Z and absolutely delightful personality made the test drive and consequent purchase a top notch experience. James Stevenot handled the financial part and stayed past closing to get me set up. Linda and I talked in the show room for a while afterwards before I departed in my new CR-Z. She has kept in touch to make sure I'm enjoying the new car... and I truly am. The CR-Z has exceeded my expectations. Zack Strickland has handled my routine maintenance on the 2008 Honda Civic that I traded in on the CR-Z. Zack and the Nalley Service team always take care of my car on time without problems. He's always professional and courteous (even when I've dropped in out of the blue for a quick service or car wash.) I look forward to being a happy customer of Nalley Honda for years to come. Needless to say, I highly recommend Nalley for both sales and service. More
Nalley, Brunswick was the only dealer that answered my online request for information...there are 3 dealerships in Jacksonville, FL that I sent requests to. One answered about a used car, but did not off online request for information...there are 3 dealerships in Jacksonville, FL that I sent requests to. One answered about a used car, but did not offer anything further. Ryan called me very quickly...we discussed what I wanted and he got me prequalified for a new car instead of a used....better for him I'm sure, but it worked out for me as well. Nalley had exactly what I wanted in stock....David called and filled out my paperwork with me over the phone, had copies ready for me when I arrived so all I had to do was sign...pricing was all settled up front, etc. It was almost too easy! : ) I will definitely recommend Nalley to anyone I know that is interested in a new car. They were all very professional, personable and polite. Thanks! I love my new car! Kathy Horton More
