Our family has been purchasing Ford and Toyota vehicles from NYE for the past 25 years and since change in ownership in the last few years, the customer service experience has declined. We took our Hylande from NYE for the past 25 years and since change in ownership in the last few years, the customer service experience has declined. We took our Hylander Platinum in for a new battery a few months ago and immediately after, certain functions stopped. Prior to the new battery, we were able to use voice navigation and messaging while the vehicle was moving. After the battery was installed, navigation only worked when the vehicle was stopped and messaging via speaker also stopped. We immediately told the service rep (Holly) about the problems who tried to resolve the issues without success. She took information and filed an incident report with Toyota to get a resolution. Over the next few months, I called NYE several times and never got a response. Finally got a call to bring it in for diagnostic while I waited. The service manager said it would be $169 per hour after waiting two months for a response. We tried explaining our situation regarding losing functions after the battery installation and lack of any follow-up by the service rep after saying she would contact Toyota, but the service manager was not willing to listen. We left and will never buy another car or use NYE for service. I can never understand these types of decisions, losing a long-time loyal customer for $169. Also hard to believe that we never got a call from the General Manager. More
