I went to the Kia Dealership today to check the status of my car. My car has been on their lot since July, just sitting. Ed a Senior Advisor was very rude, stating Kia is putting a new engine in my car at no my car. My car has been on their lot since July, just sitting. Ed a Senior Advisor was very rude, stating Kia is putting a new engine in my car at no charge, the parts haven't been ordered yet (since July) he doesn't know when it would be ready and if Kia hadn't extended the warranty well, I would basically be s***t out of luck! His attitude stated Kia was doing me a favor so no matter how long it takes, you wait. I explained to Ed, I make my car payment every month and the engine failure was no fault of mine! My daughter works fulltime and in college. I work fulltime and one car is not cutting it. He could care less! They don't provide a rental/courtesy car. Every other car that come in has priority over cars waiting on engines bc they have none or simply haven't placed an order for one for engine fails, that are no fault of the owner! I'm reaching out to the Corporate office as I make everyone aware of the customer service provided to consumers. Not acceptable! More
This is my second vehicle from them. The sales and service department are great. I wish I didn’t have to wait 6-8 weeks for a service appointment. The only gripe I have is that they don’t educate the sales and service staff ahead of time when new technology vehicles come in. I came in with a question on my new vehicle and the service advisor should have been lessoned on the updating process. I don’t blame the dealer I blame Kia for not educating the staff. This could lesson jam ups for the shop techs and make customers a lot happier. Thank you More
Very poor service. They make you wait as much as 6 weeks. They knew there was a problem with all the window regulators in my car. Now I have an open window and they can not get me in for 6 weeks. The only option is to leave the car at the dealership and they will fix it when they can. My last Kia for sure. More
I had my car towed to the service department because it was having electrical and brake issues. Matt was very rude and arrogant. I explained to him that it was my only source of transportation, and I cou was having electrical and brake issues. Matt was very rude and arrogant. I explained to him that it was my only source of transportation, and I could not get the rental car until they diagnosed the car. Let me explain, the plan that covers my automobile was the one purchased by MB Kia when I bought the car, so he was very well aware of that. My car sat for a week and was never touched, when I would call, he was condescending and rude. I got three different stories from three different people as to "why" it was taking so long. I spoke with the warranty company, and they explained I could take it somewhere else, but my deductible would be higher than at the dealership. I went out and picked my car up and took it to a licensed auto repair shop. Would have had it back in one day, except the Kia parts department "forgot" to deliver those parts one day and brought the wrong ones the next day. Parts had to be obtained from Kia as there are no after-market ones available. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from this dealership; the sales department is phenomenal and great to work with. The previous service department group was absolutely customer friendly and helpful. Sadly, based on the service group in place now I won't even entertain purchasing from here again. They could careless about customers!! More

When they finally replaced my engine they messed up the hose to my AC causing it not to work and then refused to fix it unless I paid full price. They lied about informing me about “issues” they noticed with my car in order to cover up their screw ups! DO NOT RECOMMEND Myrtle Beach Kia for anything! At least go to Florence if you have to deal with Kia! Everybody at Myrtle Beach Kia, including the General Manager, is extremely unhelpful, dishonest and inconsiderate and just does not care if the customer is satisfied! More
We’ve had our 2019 Kia Optima into their garage three times in the last year and half for the engine jerking and almost coming to an abrupt stop. Each time Matt has told us they couldn’t get our car to duplicate the problem. Just picked it up today with a friend after leaving it a week and half, and it started doing the same thing. I asked how many miles it was driven while they had it and he said about 10. I can say this is a lousy service center. Might want to buy your cars somewhere else that will take care of warranty problems. Our salesman told us during the week and halt that one of there upper level guys would be taking it home on the two weekends that is was there to get it to duplicate the problem. That didn’t happen with 10 miles. We wouldn’t advise anyone to buy from this dealership. We bought 2 Kia’s in about one year, but we were forgotten when it came to service. The car was also filthy dirty. More
It has been challenging to deal with the extended maintenance plan that I purchased when I bought my Kia in another state. Daniel dealt very well with my cars service and the maintenance plan on my maintenance plan that I purchased when I bought my Kia in another state. Daniel dealt very well with my cars service and the maintenance plan on my recent visit. He kept me informed of what was going on and reassured me that he would get it figured out. He did. My car drives well, looks good, thanks to a courtesy wash, and I feel good about the folks at Kia, especially Daniel. Thank you all. More
If I could give it zero stars I would. 4 months ago I had my car towed to Kia in order to be repaired due to the recall on a piece of the motor in a BUNCH of Kia's. Matt originally said it will be 14-16 weeks which would mean I would pick my car up in Feb. 2022 (3months). I understood the wait and dealt with not having a car for MONTHS, I paid for ubers, rides, asking family members to borrow their car since they are older and aren't working, and asked friends to help as much as they could. I am a working citizen who just asks for the truth. I did not call Matt for an update for 2.5 months. I called late January to see when I should expect to pick up my car. Matt then told me my car was next in line and should be done the 1st week of Feb. 2022. I said okay and continued to wait. They did a diagnostic test on week 10. I called back a week later and he was out of the office so I left a voicemail for him to call me back. A week goes by and I never hear back from him so I call the 2nd week into Feb. He still didn't answer. I talked to his colleague who was WAY more informational than Matt ever was throughout this TERRIBLE process. He told me my car WAS NOT next but that I had 5 cars in front of me to be done first. I asked if he had an estimate on timeframe. He said maybe 8 business days. This now puts us at the middle of Feb. 3 weeks after the date expected. Matt called the last week of Feb/first week of March to let me know my Kia motor was done but my brake lights are staying on. I asked him why because before I brought my car in they were not like that. He said he didn't know and said he was doing US A FAVOR BY TELLING US THE BRAKES ARE STICKING. He then went into details of how this could damage my car. He said "Yeah you need to get it looked at because it could drain your battery and cause your car to break down even while driving it. Due to the brake lights staying on." Matt then said "I can't prove that my brake lights weren't on prior to bringing it to Kia". I said SOMEBODY WOULD HAVE RAN INTO THE BACK OF ME IF MY BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON. I asked "Didn't you say you did a diagnostic test on my car the 10th week in?" Matt replied "No, No, we didn't". I am NOT a car person so I don't know how I would have came up with that information if I wasn't told it to begin with. Matt is TERRIBLE at communicating, he doesn't return phone calls, and is VERY arrogant in his work place. I would NOT suggest getting a Kia, I myself will NOT buy another one due to ONE thing-having to use this Kia dealership for issues. I will NEVER go back to Kia in Myrtle Beach due to ONE ARROGANT EMPLOYEE who honestly should NOT have communication with the clients. I work HAND and HAND with people in the community for work and I could NEVER imagine talking to ANYONE the way he talked to my mom and I. I don't know if it's because we were both females but he needs to be talked to 100%. I am very happy I got my car back after 4 weeks longer than said of a total of 4 months without a car. Pissed I had to pay 75$ for a diagnostic test to be done on my car for the brake lights. (Even though they did one on week 10& they were in my motor so the wiring could have been hit). Matt's colleague who checked my mom and I out said the issue was a wiring issue with the brakes. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A KIA IF IN MYRTLE BEACH, NOR DO I SUGGEST HAVING KIA IN MB SERVICE YOUR CARS. I wanted to upgrade my kia to a newer one but unless I buy from another dealership I will NEVER buy another one. THANKS MATT FOR YOUR LACK OF SERVICE. More
