The service department is real bad, I came in on Wednesday spoke to rep Marcos about my truck issue he said I need to drop off truck. Told him I can drop off next week he said no problem bring in we Wednesday spoke to rep Marcos about my truck issue he said I need to drop off truck. Told him I can drop off next week he said no problem bring in we give you a car. Came in at 7:45am on Wednesday and he tells me he has no car nothing they can do. I took off work, need to work on Thursday and now got this problem. If he would have said we might not have a car I would have made arrangements and now I have been sitting on waiting room for 3 hours and still no car and haven’t look at truck yet. Had also overheard another costumer same issue. She spoke to manager from svc and it was like oh well. Wow what a bad service this is my first Ford so never had issue with service before. The service rep is nice guy but unfortunately he does what the dealer tells him and dealer told him they cannot give me a car. I will also report this with ford and other locations. More

Made me offer on a $60k Ford Explorer that after factory rebates (which are published) was $200 and change off of sticker. Apparently very proud of their vehicles. I was asking for a 6.5% off deal, appare rebates (which are published) was $200 and change off of sticker. Apparently very proud of their vehicles. On Sept 11th I posted a negative review about my experience with Mullinax Ford regarding the attempted purchase of a used car from out of state. The comments I made about the erroneous fees were fac experience with Mullinax Ford regarding the attempted purchase of a used car from out of state. The comments I made about the erroneous fees were factual and I still have the texts with the printed offer form to prove it. A few days later I received a reply stating that the dealership was sorry for the inconvenience and that they use a third party tag agency to process out of state tax and tag information. Not to mention the statement that South Carolina tax law on vehicles is complicated. It's not. When I got that reply I deleted the previous review not because what I had said wasn't true but because the reply showed me they either didn't really care at all or the person who wrote it needs some public relations training. In either case the reply represents the dealer. Anyway, If they actually use a third party vendor to process their tags and tax info from other states and someone from that state calls them out on it with real numbers to back them up but they instead continue to defend an erroneous position and don't check to make sure their vendor is correct then how do you trust such a business? Besides that there were two glaring errors the dealership itself made that no outside party could be blamed for yet no mention of that was made. South Carolina only requires that dealers collect the sales tax and the title/plate fees which total $555 on a vehicle selling for $10,000 or more. Once the vehicle information and the monies are sent into the state the buyers county assessor prepares a property tax bill and after that point the buyer is responsible for all further charges. Considering Mullinax Ford advertises themselves as a no dealer fee dealer then the car I was considering with a list price of $16,500 plus $555 in taxes and fees and the website stated $53 electronic filing fee I should have had an out the door price of $17,108. Instead, the offer form came back at $18,751.10. Or $1643.10 more than the no dealer fees deal. I won't go into the details but none of that $1643 difference was required by the state of South Carolina or in line with stated prices on the Mullinax Ford website. Although their reply was polite and courteous insisting that they wanted to resolve the situation to my satisfaction the time for that was the day I made the call to them and tried to buy the vehicle. It's real simple, folks. Be honest and if someone else is making you look bad take them to task without bothering the customer with the blame game. After all, the customer doesn't care if a the vendor gave you bad information they only care about the fact that you took it as gospel and then defended it once called out on it. As I said in my initial review with so many good reviews I was expecting a good deal and a painless transaction but it did not turn out that way. I can only speak to my own experience though. But be careful folks, know your states rules and regulations and pay attention to your paperwork. More
Although the site asks for the salespersons name I have no issue with him. It's always the backroom managers who are responsible for a good or bad experience. Anyway, Mullinax prides itself on having no de no issue with him. It's always the backroom managers who are responsible for a good or bad experience. Anyway, Mullinax prides itself on having no dealer fees and save for a $53 electronic transaction fee listed in the fine print they don't. However, that doesn't mean they don't try and make money elsewhere. I contacted them to try and make a deal out of state as their list price was unbeatable and knowing what SC tax and registration is I figured if their no fees promise were true I'd be out the door for more than $1000 less than any other dealer I'd try to deal with locally. Well, when their offer sheet came back it was $1,651 MORE than what the list price plus tags and tax would have been. It started with a $401 higher difference in the selling price and the listed price and got worse from there. One of these discrepancies could have been a mistake. But when it comes to asking hundreds of dollars for road use fees that don't exist in my state and trying to collect an estimated property tax (not sales tax) that a dealer has no responsibility to collect or ability to submit on my behalf those are not mistakes. Those are either gross ignorance of the process or a scam. Sort of makes the $112 difference between the website stated electronic filing fee and what was charged on the offer letter look tame by comparison. In short there were too many "mistakes" to be mistakes. Either the sales manager was completely incompetent or was trying to put one over on me. No matter, now any potential trust is broken and there is no deal to be made. There are a lot of good reviews about this dealer so I was hopeful but their actions, intentional or not, give them a bad appearance and I would say they can't be trusted. More
I recently purchased a Ford Edge at Mullinax Ford of West Palm Beach. The process from start to finish was efficient and pleasant. Roosevelt was my salesperson, and he far exceeded my expectations for custom Palm Beach. The process from start to finish was efficient and pleasant. Roosevelt was my salesperson, and he far exceeded my expectations for customer service. Reception, staff and finance were friendly, and everyone generally seemed happy working there. Definitely different than most car buying experiences! Also a shout out to Brenn, the General Sales Manager who also helped to facilitate the sale. If you need a new car, and you don't want the typical sales pressure, this is the place to go! More
