Poor service and shady finance managers. Service department did not properly tighten the drain plug and leaked out oil nor did they replace the dip stick. I had called this dealer about getting my struts replaced. The service department wasn't able to answer my call initially, but Chris Anderson returned my call and we agreed on parts and labor to get replaced. The service department wasn't able to answer my call initially, but Chris Anderson returned my call and we agreed on parts and labor to get the job done. I arrive at my appointment time, and when I went to check in, a lady (didn't catch her name) was trying to find my information while fumbling through this ultra thick binder. She eventually asked me if my parts were in. I was dumbfounded that she even asked me that when Chris Anderson called me the previous day to confirm my appointment. I informed the lady, "There were 2 Duralast strut assembly kits from Autozone that were coming in because the Acura strut was on backorder indefinitely. (The Duralast struts aren't very good from what I've experienced now, but I wasn't presented with much of a choice). Then the lady grumbled, "Let me guess, Chris Anderson." The job was finished in 2 hours. I squared up with the bill and started walking to my car when I noticed that the mechanic left my headlights on after he pulled my car around. Although the car started fine to get me out of the shop, it would not start for me 5 minutes later when I was a couple of miles down the road. I did call the dealership back and requested them to come out to give me a jump, because it was working fine before they did their battery load test earlier. I do give the dealership credit for that. My car has subsequently been starting fine again. A day after my service appointment, I get a call from Chris Anderson to follow up on things. I asked him if he could call me back since I was getting ready for a physical therapy appointment, but he refused and insisted that he needed to get it out of the way now; that he was just calling to check how everything was. I mentioned that the struts were a little noisy and didn't ride very well, but I mentioned that I wasn't sure if they needed some time to get broken in. Chris stated that I should call them (the dealer) in a couple of days if the issue persisted. Then I'm all confused because I thought that he was part of the Acura dealership. According to the lady, he's a "dispatcher," whatever that means in the context of a car dealership. The other thing that I wasn't happy about was the alignment that was done. According to the printout that I received, I had one particular wheel that was 1.9 degrees off far exceeding that of the other tires and over the 1.5 degree safety threshold. They only got the alignment to 1.4 degrees on that particular side which is just barely inside the safety parameter. If one particular wheel was off that much in the first place, I would think that the potential for it to go off course further and even farther out in the not so distant future. I'm disappointed that Acua stopped giving Honda their somewhat equivalent part numbers, but I'm even more disappointed that the quality of service at this Acura dealership is nowhere close to the Honda dealership near me. I drove an hour (~ 60 miles) for this experience... More
