Great service experience I had my 2014 MDX serviced at Muller Acura of Merrillville on 23 July 2015. The service manager, Oscar Rivera, was pleasant and very knowledgeable whe I had my 2014 MDX serviced at Muller Acura of Merrillville on 23 July 2015. The service manager, Oscar Rivera, was pleasant and very knowledgeable when it came to my vehicle. I am an out of State owner who was just visiting family and needed an oil change after the cross country trip. Oscar made me feel welcome at the dealership - actually treating me better than the dealership service department that I bought my vehicle from. Oscar pointed out two safety recalls for my MDX - one of which was before I even received the recall notice from Acura. He and the assigned service tech, Sean McMahon, also went out of their way to fix an accessory (trailer hitch) that wasn't properly installed. All of the work was performed well and I haven't had any issues. I am extremely happy with my experience at Muller and will look to schedule service with them during my next trip to the area. More
Not impressed We traveled 2 1/2 hours to look at a used van that was posted on their website. The posting said "flawless exterior, free of dents or scratches " and We traveled 2 1/2 hours to look at a used van that was posted on their website. The posting said "flawless exterior, free of dents or scratches " and it was a 2014 with only 30k miles. We thought we would be getting a decent deal. However, when we got there we were thoroughly disappointed. The van had 2 places with rust, a place where rust was getting ready to come through, a scratch that was a good 18" long on one of the doors, and a mirror that had a large scuff mark on it. After discussing the van with the salesman we ended up walking out because we couldn't come to an agreed upon price since we felt the van was in a lot poorer shape than advertised. They also only wanted to give us $100 for the trade-in. The car wasn't in great shape but $100 is well below what they should have offered. Consequently, we are glad we did walk out because we went down to Bosak, just a block or so away, and found exactly what we wanted and had a fantastic experience. We definitely would not recommend this dealership. Maybe if we were buying a new Acura they would have treated us better. More
