Bought a certified 2018 Honda Ridgeline on June 29th from this dealership. Started to notice a noise coming from the vehicle on the expressway. IT was a loud whistling sound coming from the dashboard. I had this dealership. Started to notice a noise coming from the vehicle on the expressway. IT was a loud whistling sound coming from the dashboard. I had recorded a video proving the noise coming from the vehicle and sent it to the sales rep. We also noticed that the sunroof was not sitting flush with the roof of the car. Pictures were taken and sent to the sales rep. This was all sent and notified to the dealership after having the car for a week. This was not a car I was planning to return but because the car was stated certified I as a consumer was under the impression the car went through a thorough inspection of the vehicle and theses issues should of not been missed. I contacted the dealership hoping these things would be taken care of because the car was just bought and it was claimed certified. Unfortunately the answers I have received from motorwerks technicians is these are the characterstics of the vehicle and they wont fix the issues. At first I almost believed them but when i dropped off the car for them to look at they gave me another Honda Ridgeline as a rental. Now with the same exact car the sunroof sits perfectly flush with the roof of the car and I have no wind noise coming from the dashboard when driving on the expressway. Bringing this up to motorwerks that the rental they gave me does not have these issues but they still told me it was the characteristics of the vehicle. As a consumer I feel very duped in purchasing a car from motorwerks. I wish I can add the photos and videos to this review but it looks like I cant. For all the bragging motorwerks does about there customer service and rating, please show me now how great it is. Motorwerks still has my vehicle and I am still hoping for the best! More

It can be daunting when you do not know much about cars and he walked me through every option and made me feel confident that I was in the best hands with Honda Motor Werks. He is someone that is very trustworthy and I am happy I was able to work with him. Tracee Wilson in service was amazing as well. She was very knowledgeable with all of the questions I had and kept me informed on the status of my car every step of the way. She was a delight to work with and Motor Werks is lucky to have her has an employee. More

SLEAZY… AND POSSIBLE FRAUD Long story short: Service adviser Manuel Sosa tried to tack on $1,750 in unnecessary and bogus charges when I bought in my Honda for an oil change. Long story short: Service adviser Manuel Sosa tried to tack on $1,750 in unnecessary and bogus charges when I bought in my Honda for an oil change. On Feb. 5, I brought my car in for an oil change. I bought the car there in 2015. Manuel Sosa showed me a checklist of “routine” services, and told me it would be more than $400. I said, “Did I miss something?” He quickly backtracked, saying I should get my transmission fluids flushed, but it didn’t have to be now. I googled it. The online consensus is that flushing the fluids would be appropriate… in another 40,000 miles. Then Manuel showed me the results of the inspection. The printed report said, “Timing belt… FAILED,” with a repair price of $1,350. Shocked, I told him I’d make the appointment as soon as I had time. As I walked out, Manuel followed me. “I can arrange a mini-detail for you!” he offered. Pause. “I can call my boss to see if I can get the price down, too.” I don’t care for routine car maintenance to turn into an involuntary episode of “Let’s Make a Deal.” For a second opinion, I went to Advanced Auto at 300 W. Colfax in Palatine. They told me that the repair, at most, would cost HALF of what Manuel quoted. Then they actually looked at the car. NO REPAIR WAS NEEDED. Manuel Sosa did not respond to my texts or email. I’ve never had such a slimy experience. More
