We drove from over 300 miles away and needed to know we could trust someone to be honest and helpful. Frank Fiore did just that, he answered all of our questions and had things lined up when we arrived. Frank did his best to have us back on the road in a timely manner for the long ride back home. I’d also like to mention I appreciated Rashard Grant for making the paper work go as smooth as possible. We Did purchase an extended warranty but felt like there was no pressure to buy anything extra and unnecessary for our situation. I would recommend buying from Motor Werks Cadillac if coming from out of state. Scott from Missouri More
MotorWerks sold me a motorWrEcK!!! Flew in from New York to pick up a 2014 BMW 650i. Dealer picked me up from airport to dealership. Seen the vehicle in person, reviewed vehicle status, Flew in from New York to pick up a 2014 BMW 650i. Dealer picked me up from airport to dealership. Seen the vehicle in person, reviewed vehicle status, test drove, went over car fax once more. The salesman gave me a whole tour of the whole "prestigious" sales and service centers of the whole MotorkWerks company in Barrington. (with my experience motor WRECKS) Only had two owners 46k miles. Car was driving wonderful. Was very excited, the car drove well, it was in mint condition. Finalized the paperwork for the vehicle and received the keys. Walked out to the lot, turned on the vehicle to begin my drive back to New York city from Barrington Illinois where the dealer was; the engine shook. The screen showed "Drive train malfunction: drive moderately, see service center", the car stalled. You can just imagine the absolute extreme spike in blood serum cortisol levels; I was very stressed. I rushed back into the dealer and notified staff that was dealing with my sale. They quickly reassured the situation and offered lunch while they fixed the issue with the vehicle. As I was eating lunch, I was looking at flight back to NYC because I was not confident in the situation. I went back to the dealer, and the car was sitting in the lot. They reassured me of the car, and that I would not have an issue with the 900+ mile ride back to NYC. They said that the car simply had an air pocket in the fuel injector line, and they changed the tubing in reset the fault codes. I put the navigation on and was on my way. Twenty miles down the road, a light went on and the computer screen indicated "Low engine oil levels. Drive moderately replace oil as soon as possible. See service center" With this BMW model, you measure the engine oil levels from the computer in the vehicle setting section. I did not think to measure engine oil levels because I was told that the car was fully ready to drive, all fluids topped off and all that fluff. When I measured the level it was about less than a quarter of engine oil!!!!! w-o-W. Very disappointed but excited at the same time. I decided to continue to the drive and not return the car (Which I should of). I thought the 900+ mile drive to NYC would be the ultimate test for the reliability of the vehicle. I made the drive back to NYC in about 15 hours. The car was running wonderfull. I got home sometime in the morning in NYC. I got home slept, woke up the next morning, turned on the car. The engine shook "Drive train malfunction: drive moderately, see service center", the car stalled. The car would not start, the same issue that I first had when I was officially handed the keys. I was very stressed. I called the dealer, and they were scrambling to find me some answers; I was on hold for 35 min. I was advised to take it to my local BMW dealership. I took it to the dealer and really ever since then I've had back to back issues with this vehicle they sold me. I sure did take a headache of a car away from Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington. The BMW dealership in NY did a whole work up on the car, and the car had a malfunctioning high-pressure fuel pump. Luckily it was covered by the n63 customer care package. They fixed the car, and I drove around again from about 1.5k miles. Then the engine shook "Drive train malfunction: drive moderately, see service center" the car stalled. I hauled the car once again to the dealership in NY. The Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington, completely out of the picture now since this is not their headache anymore. Then the cars low-pressure fuel pump system malfunctioned, the car stalled and it displayed a drive train malfunction. I had to pay around 1,400$ out of pocket for this. I drove another 1k with no issues. Then I was driving on the highway, the engine shook, drive train malfunctioned appeared once again and the engine was shaking, it smelled like tons of gas, exhaust popping shots. Pulled over, had to once again haul it over to the BMW dealership. Fuel injector 5 failed and was leaking all over the engine bay and other related gaskets broke. Luckily it is covered under the n63 customer care package, but this does not reassure me anything. It just means I'm going to be constantly at the service center because they will not change all my fuel injectors, but "only as they go". They changed the fuel injector 5 and associated parts. Then I drove another 1k mile. Now I was driving in the city street and drive train malfunction all over again, engine shook and the car stalled. Had to haul it to the BMW dealership again!!!!! Now fuel injectors 3,6 and 8 have misfired and shut down like the first time. As you can see my experience with the vehicle that I was sold has been a total nightmare. I don't know how the vehicle qualified as certified pre-owned. The car is now at 50k, I put about 4k miles on it with multiple visits to the BMW service center in NY about every 1k miles. My faith in this vehicle is at an all-time low. There is zero reliability on the car. Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington sure did get rid of a headache! Every time I turn on the car I worry about a drive train malfunction occurring. It has been an absolute nightmare to know that at any second, the car can just have a drive train malfunction. I should have returned the car and canceled the transaction as soon as I had the extremely low engine, just because I was fooled to think all fluids were topped off and the car was good to go. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone!! More
