Smooth and quick This was the smoothest and quickest car my wife and I have ever bought. Will be back to see my salesman Brett Kieke soon for a truck. This was the smoothest and quickest car my wife and I have ever bought. Will be back to see my salesman Brett Kieke soon for a truck. More
Wow...what a nice smooth experience buying an SUV I have bought several vehicles over the last several years and to be honest I just thought the experience is and will always be unpleasant. I was tota I have bought several vehicles over the last several years and to be honest I just thought the experience is and will always be unpleasant. I was totally WRONG.... I reached out to Steve Floyd about buying either a new Sierra pickup or maybe even a new Yukon. We set up an appointment for Friday March 31st. Steve told me to ask for him or Johnny White upon my arrival. The owner John Pitre greeted me and took me over to Johnny. This is usually where the anxiety attack starts because you just know the BS is about to start. Not the case at all. Johnny was very pleasant and easy to deal with from start to finish. Johnny took my trade over to the appraisal department and we began looking at new Yukon's. We took a golf cart to the rear of the facility and holy crap! I have never seen so many new cars, trucks and SUV'S in one area. I was impressed with Johnny's knowledge of the Yukons from two wheel drive to four wheel drive to top of the line Denali. I settled for a 2017 Yukon SLT that has more bells and whistles than a fighter jet. We started the dealing process and again a very pleasant experience. I told Johnny what I wanted for my trade and what I expected to pay for the Yukon. I was given what I asked for. I was then taken to finance where again the anxiety kicked in....I was introduced to Shelly Babits and she was as down to earth as they come. We made the deal and I drove home in a new sweet ride. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy new or used. BTW, as we were finishing up John Pitre again walked by and asked if I was being taken care of not in a phony way just a polite professional way. No pressure just a pleasant experience. Thank You Motor City you have earned a new customer in me. More

He showed us every vehicle we asked to see, told us all about the features, and then when they didn't have the color we wanted he searched other dealerships and found exactly what we wanted. We bought a fully loaded quicksilver Yukon Denali. We compared it to the Suburban before we decided to buy the Denali but Mark was a much friendlier, more courteous, more helpful salesperson and even though the Denali cost about the same the service made the difference. The vehicle has so many safety features and conveniences and with Mark's excellent service it was any easy decision. We would highly recommend a GMC and picking Mark Musleh as the sells person. We'd give way more than five stars! The finance person was quick and explained everything about the warranties and special options (scotchguard). Everyone was courteous...overall a wonderful experience. Thank you Mark!!! More
Tried to buy local My first impression of MotorCity came when we drove in to park and there was alot of salespeople standing out front, and in fact the salesman that end My first impression of MotorCity came when we drove in to park and there was alot of salespeople standing out front, and in fact the salesman that ended up helping us, Omar, came walking up to our car before we had even got out to look. As we were searching for a truck for my husband, he was asking the salesman questions but he did not have all the answers and just kept reassuring us that we would get a "great deal". Luckily we had done alot of research online so we picked out the one we wanted. When we were going over the payments inside I felt pressured and we didn't feel the deal was as great as it could be, so we ended up buying the truck we wanted out of town. We felt no pressure at that dealer and although the deal was only a little less the salesman there knew the trucks well and did not pressure us into buying like Omar did. We really wanted to buy local too. Hope this helps! More
I purchased a 2005 Nissan Altima that came with the Platinum 6-month/6000 mile warranty. The dash had 2 cracks in it and when I pointed this out to our salesmen, he said, "how about I throw in a year Platinum 6-month/6000 mile warranty. The dash had 2 cracks in it and when I pointed this out to our salesmen, he said, "how about I throw in a year's worth of oil changes for free" well come to find out the Platinum Package already comes with that. So he didnt help me out at all with the cracks in the dash. Second, after about 2 weeks the battery died on the car and when I took it in to have it replaced they wanted me to pay for it. Well they actually ended up getting the battery for me but then tried to charge me for instalation. Luckily I have a friend that works at Motor City and he said he would install it for free. At the same time I was having the battery replaced I let the service rep know that the motor mount is completely ripped and the motor slams around when it shifts gears, the front shock is blown and also knocks/squeaks when I drive over bumps, and that the brakes are squealing. They told me we can't do anything about the brakes because that is a normal wear and tear item. So I changed the brakes myself. (No big deal, they were $20 at autozone.) And they also told me to schedule an appointment to get the motor mounts and shocks looked at. So I call to schedule the appointment and now they tell me that my motor mount and shocks are not covered under my warranty and I should have told them when I purchased the car. So now I'm screwed out of my money for a car with 2 cracks in the dash, blown motor mounts, and blown shocks. But hey its still under warranty. Worst car dealership I've ever dealt with. Never going to come back to this dealership or recommending it. More
DO NOT BUY FROM MOTOR CITY! My first purchase was a 2006 Chevy Malibu. That buy wasn't too bad but the first week I had it, the rotors warped. They gave me a rental car, fixed my car and that was pretty muc Chevy Malibu. That buy wasn't too bad but the first week I had it, the rotors warped. They gave me a rental car, fixed my car and that was pretty much it. In January of this year (2013), I traded my 06 Malibu and I made my second purchase, a 2009 Dodge Journey from Motor City (Dumb decision). It is now October 21st 2013 and I just dropped my car off at Motor City AGAIN. I first dropped it off Oct. 7th, for noise coming from the motor and something that sounded like an exhaust leak. They had my car for 9 days. Never, did they offer me a rental car, but today I found out I should have been given one at their cost last time and didn't. They had to take the car to dodge to get it fixed. Keep in mind, I bought this car with approximately 32,000 miles. It now has approximately 38,800 miles. Dodge had to replace rocker arms on both banks and the intake and exhaust valves. Now, I just dropped it back off at motor city after I had to go to dodge and show them the problem because apparently motor city is too incompetant to relay the problems I already had to dodge. This time I asked for a rental car and was told I could rent one but they won't know until tomorrow if they will cover it or not even though I was screwed out of it last time and it may come out of my pocket if it is a new issue. I decided not to rent a car just in case they would make it me pay for it. It's beginning to look like Motor City will have my car this month more than me. Will they make the payment this month? Don't think so. I have had this car for less than 1 year and do not want it anymore due to the MAJOR issues I am already having with it. I don't see an end to the problems I am having with this car so, I may have to contact an attorney to have Motor City make things right. I feel I may have a lemon on my hands. Once you have already made your purchase, to Motor City you are nothing but another successful sale and good customer relations end there. More
