Took my 2012 Nissan Maxima here for an oil change and 115,000 mile service in June. I had an appointment but after waiting 3 hours I left with only an oil change. They told me I needed to replace my brak 115,000 mile service in June. I had an appointment but after waiting 3 hours I left with only an oil change. They told me I needed to replace my brake pads ASAP as my front pads only had 4 mm left, replace my front 2 tires ASAP and get an alignment because there was “uneven wear and tear on my front tires meaning there is a serious problem with the alignment”. Well 2 months later I just took my car into a shop down the street to get my front brake pads replaced and they informed me that they are at 8 mm and need no service at this time. they also said that my tires need to be replaced but there is NOT any uneven wear or tear. More

I would give them zero stars if that were an option. I prepaid for an oil change. When I took my car in, the service tech convinced me I needed two filters replaced for an extra charge. Then he rattled off a list of other services that I mistakenly thought were part of the PREPAID oil change – no other additional charges were mentioned. I ended up with a $275 bill, which the service tech refused to reduce. I have purchased three new cars from this specific business, and I will never do business with them again. Their service department is nothing but a scam that takes advantage of people who don't know much about auto maintenance. When I calmly and respectfully shared my frustrations with the service tech, he said three times that he couldn't understand my problem. Now, Dustin Hall, the service tech, can refuse to understand this post. Never, never use Mossy Nissan in Kearny Mesa, unless you want to be taken advantage of. More

I came to them because there is noise from my altima 2012. They checked my car and charged me $150. They told me that there was something wrong in the wheel bearing. I brought my car for repair in anoth 2012. They checked my car and charged me $150. They told me that there was something wrong in the wheel bearing. I brought my car for repair in another shop and found that the wheel bearing is good. Instead, there is something wrong in the strut, which touched the tire and caused the noise. Now I took my car back with the new struts. Everything is fine. I asked them for some refunding and they refused. It is totally cheating. I think that they did not check my car at all. If there is some problem in your car, you need try to avoid them. More

Salesman started calling me names!!! I came to this dealership last week and started dealing with one of their saleman named Eddie. I told him that I was just shopping around at that time I came to this dealership last week and started dealing with one of their saleman named Eddie. I told him that I was just shopping around at that time because I was waiting for my refi loan to clear. When my loan cleared I called Eddie back and asked if he was at work because I was ready to buy. Eddie said that he was off that day but he can come in to help me. So I waited for him to show up because I wanted him to get the commission from the sale since he already started helping me the week before. When we couldn’t agree on the price, he got upset and told me that he came in from his dayoff for nothing. He said to me “you’re not a buyer, you’re a joker” Worst customer service ever. I’ve been to other dealerships, including other Mossy Nissans, and have never been treated this rudely when deals don’t get made. I tried calling customer service to complain and all of a sudden no one was answering my call. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone ever. More

I Normally Hate the Car Buying Process As the title suggests, I don't particularly like walking onto a car lot and negotiating the purchase of a new vehicle. In fact, although in my 50's, I've only done it three times in my life, and there have been more than a few times when I simply walked off the lot in disgust. The disgust was from a lack of transparency and insults to my intelligence. Last year I bought a Nissan Sentra with the help of Butch Peachy, a salesman at Kearny Mesa Mossy Nissan. His approach was to keep it simple and candid. I was refreshed and went on to recommend Butch and Mossy Nissan more than a year later to my niece, who also expressed an interest in a Sentra. Nothing changed with Butch and the process. We were delighted with the deal - a great vehicle at a fair price. I'm sure that I'll be going through Butch and Mossy Kearny Mesa in the future. More
