The attentive salesperson who took my call to inquire about a BMW 440i they had on their lot offered to drive the car from Escondido to Newport Beach the same day, so that I could see and test drive the car. I couldn’t do that, but I was able to drive to them the next day. I was able to test drive the car and negotiate a purchase price for the car. However, I made the deal contingent upon them obtaining a printed owner’s manual for the car, and my Orange County mechanic examining the car before closing the deal. The salesman again did great, in driving the car up to my mechanic and waiting while the car was looked over. After it got a thumbs-up, we closed the deal on the spot, and he got himself back to Escondido. So, not only was this service exemplary, but I also was able to purchase a clean car at a reasonable price, all for which I am grateful. However, it was after the sale that things went south. The day after the purchase, in putting down the convertible top, the back windshield broke, also damaging one part of the convertible top. I called the salesperson, who appropriately referred me to my local BMW dealership. After having the issue evaluated by the BMW dealership, they could find no warranty-related issue, and told me that I was on my own. When I called Mossy back, I had to call multiple times to get someone to finally pick up, after which they also said that they would do nothing to assist with the problem. Now, I realize that used cars are sold/bought “as is,” but the Mossy family of dealerships is quite large, and I would have hope that, after a problem of this nature one day after taking ownership of the car, they might offer to assist with the costs of the repairs, or even offer to fix it at one of their shops for cost. But they did neither. Over the course of my dealing with this, I had my BMW mechanic look at the issue, and they found a rubber bushing that was not at its proper setting that they felt was responsible for the windshield breaking when I put the convertible top down. Even with all this, I did not feel that the whole issue was a big deal, and was ready to move on, after I got the promised print car manual. So, after about a month, I called and emailed the salesman for the promised manual – no response. I called up the sales manager, Ron, who promised to take care of it that day. After another week went by with no word, I again called back on multiple occasions. The first time Ron was off that day, but would call me tomorrow, The second time, Ron was away for a family issue. The third time, Ron was out with no return date. The next time, I was told that Ron was no longer with the company, and I spoke with the co-sales manager, Ceasar, who also promised to look into it and to call me back. After multiple additional calls, and repeated assurances by Ceasar that I would receive a call back, and that the issue would be taken care of, I never got a return call and never got a manual. So, as great as the pre-sale performance was with this dealership, the post-sale experience was terrible. More

Also - they weren’t even planning on replacing the idler pulley, which is always considered part of the job. Just poor service overall. I opted to do the work myself; and I can take my family to Disneyland with the savings. More

In addition, if I have any questions on how to use the many options available on my Nissan Rogue Platinum he takes his time in explaining all the features to me and displaying them on the screen. Unfortunately, my first experience with this dealership for car financing was highly disappointing. They provided false information about my credit score without showing me the report. They claimed it was for car financing was highly disappointing. They provided false information about my credit score without showing me the report. They claimed it was so poor that I wouldn't secure a loan elsewhere and urged me into a loan with a staggering 19% interest rate, discouraging the idea of a cosigner, possibly to avoid external scrutiny. The next day, I visited Kia dealership in Irvine, they revealed my credit as average and assured me of an 11% interest rate loan. Furthermore, Cesar, the sales manager, insisted I choose a different car based on interest rates, even when the year, mileage, and trim were identical. Later, it came to light that the car they pushed on me had a battery issue. I have already told them that I will be using this for doordash as my source of income. This level of cruelty is just unbelievable. Two days after I mentioned about the battery problem, they told me it’s normal without even bothering checking it. I had to call and drop the car at another dealer so they take car of the battery… This experience left me feeling cheated in both the deal and financing, while also leaving me with a problematic vehicle. They clearly took advantage of my inexperience with car financing. I strongly advise against trusting these individuals. More
In the beginning I thought I couldn't have gotten luckier it was the first dealership I went to when I was looking for a vehicle and I found a vehicle I wanted and I qualified for on my own. Turns out it was it was the first dealership I went to when I was looking for a vehicle and I found a vehicle I wanted and I qualified for on my own. Turns out it was all a lie over a week after I drove it around and showed it off to my entire family. I got a call letting me know that my loan wasn't approved but not to worry because another loan was found for me that was a 99.9 percent approval however, I needed to take an additional amount and sign a new contract of course or option 2 return the vehicle. I did not expect for this to happen to me. I'm a single parent who works a variety of gigs and depends on my vehicle to transport me and my child so I tried to come up with the additional money they were asking but I just couldn't. The day I drove the car home I gave the dealership a $7200 hundred dollar down payment which I had been saving to purchase /finance a new car. Since I wasn't able to come up with the additional money they were asking for I had no choice but to return the car but I was told that I'd have to wait days if not weeks before corporate would cut me a check for my down payment. The sales rep that sold me the car threatened to file a police report and report the car as stolen if I did not return the vehicle the day he called and made the threat. I let him know that I needed my vehicle and that I would return it immediately since it was my only option but why would I have to wait weeks before getting my down payment back. I didn't cancel the contract we signed. Could something like this happen again? I'm now faced with the dilemma and stress of having to buy another car but for other people reading this I would not go to this dealership. More
