Let me start by saying I am a female who took my daughter to look at/purchase the cars. I have purchased many cars at many dealerships and never had a great experience. We found a couple cars on the Honda of to look at/purchase the cars. I have purchased many cars at many dealerships and never had a great experience. We found a couple cars on the Honda of Lemon Grove website. Went to the location and dealt with Alex OG and Cesar. What an amazing duo!! I was wondering the whole time when it would start getting ugly. Not once. They were honest and answered all my tough questions without hesitation. We purchased one of the cars. Even though the car was used, it was pristine. Upon delivery of the car, they washed the car, had the gas filled up ( something I have always had to demand from dealerships, to fill up the gas tank). Of course the purchasing of a car takes forever.. we were there until 11:30 pm to complete the purchase! Cesar didn't complain once. He stayed with us until the end. My daughter is so happy with the car. It eased my mind that Cesar gave us bis cell number and asked us to contact him immediately if there are any issues with the car. I can honestly say this was the best experience purchasing a car at a dealership. If you go to this dealership, i would definitely recommend Alex OG and Cesar!! More

I visited Mossy Honda in Lemon Grove on a whim and had the pleasure of meeting Will. I explained that I had already made a deal on a Honda Accord and was just there to look at interior colors. Do not buy a used car here. I had thought buying from a dealership would be safer, but they are just as sketchy as a back alley car salesman. I just bought my first car on my own from Mossy Honda Lemon Grove. I was looking for a specific make and model of a used car that would qualify for the IRS Clean Vehicle Tax Credit. Alex Lopez was the salesperson I worked with, and he seemed very nice and genuine at the time, and my trust in him lead me to overlook other red flags and ultimately be taken advantage of. I was upfront about what car I was looking for and about the tax credit. The following problems occurred: -They used a bait-and-switch: they claimed they would sell the car for $1000 off the listed price and replace the damaged windshield. When I accepted their offer they said they would either sell it for the listed price and replace the windshield, or stick to the $1000 off but not replace the windshield. They only agreed to $500 off when I was about to walk out. -They lied: They assured me that the paperwork they had to submit for the tax credit would be no problem when I bought the car, but then failed to submit the paperwork in time making it impossible for me to claim the credit. This cost me $4,000 or 30% the price of the car. I suspect this was purely them trying to sell the car as fast as possible as well as pure incompetence -They gaslit me: When I asked for proof that they tried and failed to submit the tax credit paperwork, they did not provide any documents at all and tried to gaslight me saying that I only mentioned the tax credit after agreeing to buy the car, even though I took notes during all conversations with Alex that prove that this is not true. -They are sketchy: The buttons for the sunroof shade were professionally removed and replaced with a blank panel so that it was very hard to notice anything was missing until you specifically looked for it days later. The charging cable for charging at home was missing. They also claimed the car had been independently inspected but after purchase we found there was a broken tail light, making this claim dubious. -They ghosted me: After all this, Alex, who seemed so genuine in the beginning completely ghosted me with just a “sorry!”. I feel completely betrayed. Mossy Honda is just stereotypical sketchy used car salespeople who will do or say anything to sell a car masquerading as a legitimate dealership. I hope this review serves a warning to other people: Don’t let them take advantage of you like they did me. One important note: the service center where they replaced my windshield as agreed was excellent and extremely professional. So while I can recommend getting your car serviced here, do not buy cars from them. More
