It's been a month since I bought my car and what a month it's been! Mossy is not my local dealership, and yet I travelled 100 miles in an Uber to get there because of the initial customer experience I had it's been! Mossy is not my local dealership, and yet I travelled 100 miles in an Uber to get there because of the initial customer experience I had from Emir who not only called me back after I enquired about this sick blacktop R/T at a STEAL of a price I just saw on the Dodge website, but he went above and beyond to show me what I wanted to see without being gross and pushy about it! I was stuck between the R/T and the Scat Pack, and instead of pushing me to take the more expensive car like most dealers have nearby, he was in tune with my needs, sent me videos of the starts, popped the hood for me each time and I just knew I was buying a car from Mossy, just not sure which one. His willingness to even send me videos instead of pushing me to get down there first was enough for me to actually want to get down there. I ended up with the R/T and it was the best decision ever and I'm grateful to Emir and then Sami for letting me come to that decision naturally. I hate the feeling of being pushed into something and I got that from local dealerships in OC, and Mossy never made me feel that way. The purchasing process with Ivan was a breeze and throughout the deal, Sami was also incredible. I didn't know what PPF was until Sami told me about it - I looked it up, and within 7 days, I had wrapped in PPF and it was the best thing I did to my new car. So all in all, my experience buying from Mossy was an elevated one right from the start, and long after the purchase was complete. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, but heading to Mossy was sooooooooooooo worth the Uber and then the drive. I will travel for a job well done. More
My family was interested in buying a used Jeep Compass Trailhawk. It negotiated and was given a deal in writing by Pedro, I told him I was going to sleep over it. Next day (14 hours later) when I called t Trailhawk. It negotiated and was given a deal in writing by Pedro, I told him I was going to sleep over it. Next day (14 hours later) when I called to set appointment to purchase the vehicle, I was told deal was no longer valid and if I wanted the car I'll have to pay $1,000 more. Bait and switch scam. Complaint will be file at Jeep Headquarters and BBB about their business practices. Word of advise: Take your business elsewhere.. More
After looking all over San Diego and local cities I came across Mossy. I was in the market for a 2023 Last Call Dodge Challenger RT. I went to four other dealerships both new and used and test drove a ton of cars and each place came back with pushy rude salesmen and numbers so inflated that you could inflate a balloon with them. Then I got to Mossy, I met Luis who took time late in the evening to let me test drive a challenger RT with my wife. He sat in the back and only talked when I asked questions he didn’t try the normal prying questions salesmen use. I got his number went home and did a ton of research, their cars were the lowest in SoCal by a lot. I decided on the car and color I wanted and text Luis who not only got the specific car I wanted ready to test drive but he kept staff there after closing to make it happen. I was happy with the test drive and we went inside for what I thought was gonna be another painful dealership experience. I told Luis the price I wanted and he got his sales manager Sami we talked about what I thought was fair and got to a number that not only was lower than I expected but also didn’t didn’t include the pointless add ones some many place shove down your throat. He didn’t waist my time with back and forth and gave me the lowest number he could which I knew from my research was more than fair. After I completed with them I worked with Kalen in finance he offered the normal add ons but wasn’t pushy at all and the two items I got were not overpriced when I further looked up their value at home and I was satisfied with their price. Each of these individuals represented themselves and their company greatly and treated my wife and I with respect through the whole process. If your in the market for a new car ask for Luis, Sami, and Kalen. More
lert! Be aware! After having my check engine light come on I thought it would be a good idea to bring my Jeep to the dealership. I made an appointment t Be aware! After having my check engine light come on I thought it would be a good idea to bring my Jeep to the dealership. I made an appointment to have my vehicle diagnosed on Thursday June 22nd at 9am. After checking in, I’m told “we’re really short staffed but we will be in contact via text message with updates. We will know what the issue is tomorrow(Friday the 23rd). Friday the 23rd comes along and I hear nothing. No updates. I decide to call the service department to see how things are going. At this point, Troy, the service advisor tells me they haven’t had a moment to run any testing yet. When asking what about my appointment yesterday? I was told they’ll see what they can do but don’t have any time right now. I was upset and expressed my worries about not being communicated with. I was also curious to know why I scheduled an appointment if they weren’t going to have the time? One hour before they close at 5pm for the weekend, I get a message saying the inspection has been completed please review for details. These repairs mounted to over $9k! Hesitant, I approved over $2k of work to be repaired and was promised by Troy that by car would be ready on Monday June 26th in the afternoon. They are closed Saturday and Sunday. Monday June 26th, I send a message to them asking approximately how long the check process would be so I can make arrangements. Instead of answering my very simple question, I’m told that the work I had already approved on Friday would now be double and that my vehicle would not be ready until Tuesday the 27th. At this point, I request to speak with a supervisor. Allen Bendix reached out to me. No apology for me being obviously upset. We spoke for several minutes in the phone regarding the increase in work. I had a concern about the ignition coil, Allen confidently told me it’s not the ignition coil. So I believed him. We were able to agree on the price for a second time regarding the approved repairs. Not long after that, I get another message saying an inspection on my vehicle is ready for review. Surprise, they found ANOTHER issue with…the ignition coils. Allen attempted to pull the wool over my eyes and find a way to justify him speaking on behalf of the ignition coils previously without even checking them. So after being told there is no problem with the ignition coil, there is and on top of that they quoted me another $2400 to fix this. My vehicle didn’t look like that when I brought it in. I requested 4 times to speak with Allen’s supervisor regarding the poor customer service I received and was told “if and when” they will call you. This is apparently the owner Travis Mossy. When attempting to resolve anything now on June 27th Allen refuses to answer any of my questions. They reported cylinders 4 & 5 need work but the video they sent me said 2 & 5. These people are supposed to be professionals and certified yet cannot give me any accurate information. I’ve tried to resolve this with who I can there but they don’t seem to care. Allen is also extremely rude. I’ve worked at 2 car dealerships myself and I’m in shock with how they represent themselves. I would be embarrassed. Allen is now saying my vehicle will be ready for pick up. I’m sure it’s not. And once I am able to rescue my hostage vehicle I already know it’s going to be in worse condition than when I brought it in. Save your time, money and energy. Please do not go to Mossy Jeep in Chula Vista. More
In mid February this year, my 2018 Dodge Ram truck suddenly lost oil pressure and died. After having towed to a local repair shop Ranxho Auto Care in Jamul , I was informed my engine was seized. Long suddenly lost oil pressure and died. After having towed to a local repair shop Ranxho Auto Care in Jamul , I was informed my engine was seized. Long story short, I had it towed to Mossey Dodge in Chula Vista, on a Friday. Had the diagnostic work complete by Tuesday and given the great news I would get a brand new engine under the manufacturers warranty!. They ordered my new engine, which took longer to receive than their installation of it took, yet from day of towing it there to the day I drove it out of there was only 30 days!! Henry was my service advisor, he gave me his cell phone to contact him directly with any questions I may have. Every time I text him he answered right away and if needed to find something out told me so and then got back to me with the answer. I could not be happier with the service received there and highly recommend giving Mossey Dodge in Chula Vista a try!! New facility, clean, organized and great customer service in their service department. Side note, I didn’t even buy my truck from them and yet they took on my engine replacement. More
