Verified price multiple times with salesman Jeremy Bird and after agreeing to purchase apparently there was a mistake on the sticker and the price was actually 17,600. End of July it says it needs an oil change despite having one at 78k on the Carfax from Moses. They just reset the light as they're confident the changer only forgot to reset (I later end up needing to add 2 quarts of oil). In August the alternator and battery went out. While it's parked at my house to figure that out, it gets about 4 inches of water in the front passenger floor well from a bad sunroof seal. They agree to fix the sunroof seal on their own dime, I pay for half parts on alternator and battery and my part will be approximately $208. Go to pick up the car and they try to charge me approximately $270, have to argue with them but eventually they concede. April 2014 my brother notices rust above my passenger wheel well. I take it in and they say it's not their problem and it's out of warranty. According to them there's 2 fixes: one is a bandaid that'll last a year that's cheap and one is a panel replacement which is a few thousand that'll do it right. I track down the previous owner who said he traded it in with that problem and they had to fix it before they could put it on the lot. So apparently they put the bandaid fix on it and neglected to put it on the Carfax but did put the oil change and inspection. Upon presenting the email from the previous owner stating the problem they replace the quarter panel. July 2016, 102k on the car, transmission begins slipping suddenly one day. Make it in to nearest service station who read the codes and say I almost assuredly need a new transmission and they can do it for $3k in a few days. Call Moses and they say I may just need a gear or two and need to get it in there so they can diagnose it. I ask what the worst case is if they have to replace my transmission "$2400 for parts and 5-10 hours of labor at $100 an hour". So I think worst case I end up paying $400 more (total of $3400) for dealership to handle it. Get it towed from Teays Valley to downtown at 4pm on Wednesday. Thursday morning get a call at approximately 9 am it needs a complete transmission because it's burnt up but not low on fluid, it'll be approx $3980 for the job. The $3400 worst case estimate was apparently given by a phone woman who had no clue and is getting fired and there's no way they can do it for less than $3980 and i'm welcome to have my car towed somewhere else per Bill Loudon, the manager. Upon writing a cure offer to buy my car back their response was that they would do the service at $3400 or pay to have my car towed elsewhere but I would have to sign a form releasing them of any liability on the vehicle.
