Just had my 5th minor maintenance (every 5000 miles) service visit performed at Morries Mazda on my 2012 Mazda. I have had 3 different techs perform the service now according to my receipts. During the 5000 mile minor maintenance service, the door hinges are listed as being lubricated, and it is also called out in the owners manual for being required every 5000 miles. Well, out of the 5 times I have had this service, the hinges have only been lubricated twice. This last service visit marks the third time it has not been completed. Looking thru the receipts, only one technician consistently performs this task every time. The same technician also has the absolute best attention to detail, the undercarriage is clean afterwards and the oil on the dipstick is at the perfect level. The undercarriage is so clean and so is the bottom of the oil pan when its complete you would swear it was not done, but I know it was. This is the level of detail I love to see. After this last oil change, I did check the oil level and it was barely wetting the end of the dipstick. I checked it several times and yes the car was on a level surface with the engine off for several minutes to allow the oil to drain into the oil pan. I ended up adding 16oz of oil to bring it to the full mark, a half a quart of oil. I am not saying the service at Morries is unacceptable, its just more inconsistent than I would like to see. In the future I will request the technician by the tech number listed on the receipt that has consistently performed beyond my expectations and performed all the tasks I am paying for like the hinge lubrication. More
We LOVE Morrie's Minnetonka Mazda! We bought our current and two previous vehicles from them. We have all of our service work done there and have always been treated with fairness and respect. The service department needed my car for the full day to complete the protection package, so I was set up with a loaner, at no charge, to minimize the inconvenience. The service crew seemed knowledgable, pr complete the protection package, so I was set up with a loaner, at no charge, to minimize the inconvenience. The service crew seemed knowledgable, professional and efficient, as far as they didn't waste any of my time. I have been going to Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda for almost 19 years now & that’s because of their Service Department. I always look forward to going there, as it is always a pleasant experience. Jim Cruz 19 years now & that’s because of their Service Department. I always look forward to going there, as it is always a pleasant experience. Jim Cruz is the Service Manager I deal with the most (99.9%), unless he has a rare day off. I consider him as family & a friend, I don’t recall the exact number of years that Jim has been a Service Manager at Morrie’s, but it has been quite a few years. He always greets me with a smile, we always have something to chat about, he makes me feel welcome, not like some other businesses that just treat you like a “customer”, that’s a big plus in my book. He always explains what is going to be done on my vehicle in basic terms that I can understand, aside from an oil change, I understand that. Whatever time frame Jim gives me for the work being done is always right on target or slightly sooner. I will only buy Mazda vehicles because of the wonderful experiences I have had over the years at Morrie’s Mazda. Also when I bought my last vehicle, I asked Jim to refer me to a Salesperson that I would be really comfortable with, as Jim knows my personality & I trust him. He also did an excellent job with that & I totally enjoyed my experience with Anne Brick from Sales. I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate Jim Cruz, Service Manager. If by chance when I come in, if Jim is not there at the exact moment when I arrive, I am always greeted by Jean or Jason, also with a smile & they always make me feel welcome too. The prices & quality of the work at Morrie’s is also a plus. I trust Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda, that’s why I still come there even for my routine basic service needs. It’s just a great place! More
Overall experience was very good. They were friendly. I had my car towed there and they were able to look at it and diagnose the problem within an hour and a half. They replaced the clutch by the end of t had my car towed there and they were able to look at it and diagnose the problem within an hour and a half. They replaced the clutch by the end of the day and provided a free rental car to use for that day. I think the price was likely higher than if I had taken it to an independent shop, however, based on looking around on the internet after the repair was done. More

I purchased a used vehicle from Morries several years ago(Just purchased 2nd one yesterday). After about a week the vehicle wouldn't start due to a bad battery. It was a 9 year old car with very low mile ago(Just purchased 2nd one yesterday). After about a week the vehicle wouldn't start due to a bad battery. It was a 9 year old car with very low miles and when I brought it in the Service Department treated me like I had a brand new Rolls Royce! Just great great service. I stopped in on an emergency basis because the sliding door on my Mazda 5 was frozen open - I was holding it closed with a seatbelt around the door pillar! David worked me in, let the door thaw, then had a tech check it out and lube up the mechanism. They also found a motor mount issue, and washed th car before sending me on my way... And they didn't charge me a cent! Great friendly service! More
