I have been attempting to get this issue resolved and Diego has not responded to my follow up email I sent 2 weeks ago. Took my '18 CX 5 in for an oil change and they used the incorrect oil grade. This dealership is the only one that has used something other than the recommended grade outlined in the owner's manual. It was only during my recent check-out at Morrie's Minnetonka that I was informed that they used semi-synthetic. This prompted me to double check what is listed in my manual and service history. My owners manual has 0W20 listed as the correct oil grade for my vehicle. I received 5W20 at Morrie's Minnetonka. My previous oil change was done earlier this year at the other Morrie's (Inver Grove) and they performed the correct 0W20 full synthetic oil change, so I did not expect this issue to happen at another Morrie's dealership. I reached out to the service dept via the contact form on the website (which took 2 attempts to even get a response). When Diego emailed me, he said they normally ask what oil change service you'd prefer but they must have forgotten to ask. I have been here for service, twice, and have never been asked, or given the option for a different oil change service. Ironically, I have never been questioned about oil change services at any other dealership (including the other Morrie's location); they know what my car requires and follow those requirements. Diego then contradicts himself later in the email and says that Mazda does recommend full synthetic oil change services. Why would a dealership perform maintenance that is in opposition to manufacturer guidelines for a vehicle they are trained to service? The service advisor I spoke with may not see this as an issue, but it destroys the trust with the customer when I cannot even get a straightforward oil change done properly and in accordance with my vehicle's specfications. Looking into the use of incorrect oil grades brings up a myriad of research about short and long term issues that can arise. Mazda spends time and money on research and development to figure out what is best for maintaining their vehicles to ensure long term use for customers, and I do not think it is a lot to ask that a dealership follow those findings. I would expect this oil change issue from a cheap low rated shop, not a four star rated dealership with resources from the manufacturer of the vehicle. If you are a frequent customer here, I would highly recommend you check your service history and contact them via written communication if you find the same issue I had. No Loyalty from Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda – Our car was stolen from Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda on November 22 when thieves broke into their key drop box. We found out after the fact that there had been a ra stolen from Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda on November 22 when thieves broke into their key drop box. We found out after the fact that there had been a rash of these thefts in the area and Morrie’s had already been hit once before. They never warned us about the previous theft, even though we told them we’d be dropping our car off the night before, we never would have dropped it off overnight if we’d known. The only car that was stolen was ours because they had the key, the only reason they had the key was because the lock box was not secure enough, but Morrie’s took no responsibility for the theft. Not once did someone from Morrie’s call us or try to make it right, even though we’ve purchased three cars from them and used their service department for all our maintenance. We foolishly believed their loyalty program went both ways, we’ve since learned that it’s only the customer that needs to be loyal, not Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda. More

Customer service is impeccable. Went above and beyond to fix my car, and went out of their way to save me money on parts. I took in my car for a 30k checkup, and they showed me a video of the underneath of fix my car, and went out of their way to save me money on parts. They broke down prices for me upfront, and getting a loaner car while mine was serviced was no problem. Later that day, I got a call telling me they discovered a way to avoid buying new parts, and saved me a significant amount of money in the process even AFTER I approved the purchase of new parts. These guys rule. I don't know how their prices compare to other places, but I only trust these guys to do right by me. More

Oil Change and Air Bag recall Everything was great. But a day later I noticed my Brake lite on and It looks like my emergency break has been moved. When I touched it pushed it down the light went off. But it seems to not be down all the way like it is stuck and I cant get it down all the way to lock in. If I hit it a little the brake light comes on so it is not locking in place. More
