Kenneth Thao and Rob Gillen were very helpful during this process. Even though it is still in the works, they answered all of my questions, and if they didn’t know the answer, they’d find it. I was right. I always thought buying a car should be one of the happiest things that a person does. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t do it often. The 2021 CX30 I purchased on January 28th 2021 was only the fourth vehicle I’ve ever bought and I’m 57 years old. It has been the worst experience of my entire life. And that includes having AIDS. The salesman was Tim Wolterstorff and I don’t even see his name listed here but when I asked him the simple question of whether or not the three headrests on the backseat can be adjusted or removed he didn’t know. A red flag. He also neglected to explain how the car runs on radar and is heavily dependent on sensors which are easily triggered. Too easily in fact. Something that I still don’t understand because it has never been explained to me. I have had to bring it back in 3 or 4 times already and no one seemed to understand the problem let alone explain anything to me except that I would have to wash it to keep the sensors from going off. I had purchased a car that let’s me know when it needs to be washed. Tim certainly failed to mention that because I can say with 100% certainty, I would not have purchased the vehicle if he had. I eventually found a recall notice on line which I provided to them when they asked. A few days went by and after repeated attempts to speak with the general manager I was put in touch with someone named Brian. He told me that the notice I provided wasn’t about the vehicle I bought but had something to do with the tires even though the pdf I gave them had pictures of the problem I was experiencing. He also said that he would call me back that evening or the next day with some options but he never did. Later Jamie the general manager would claim that he tried to get a hold of me once but my mailbox was full even though I had no record of anyone on my call history. It’s 2021 folks and you can’t spin your way out of a lie with today’s technology. Maybe that’s a sensor problem too. They were spinning and double talking in fact every time I spoke with someone except for a young man named Christian Beltran who made it clear to me that there definitely was a problem. He did so when he said he didn’t know what to tell me because he had never seen this happen before. I let him know that I was extremely unhappy with the vehicle and he said trade it in. I asked him if this was possible and he said yes. He told me that he would look into the options. That was the last I heard anything about it from him. Instead he just kept putting me in loaner vehicles each time with worse mpg. The last vehicle he loaned me I returned without filling back up because I was tired of paying for all the trips back and forth and the young man rudely reminded me that I had signed a contract. He was right but I also signed a contract for a vehicle that I never got to drive. He didn’t seem to care about that at all though. It cost me $50.00. After two months of asking, the general manager Jamie finally gave me a call, and only because I said something via social media. She was as unpleasant as everyone else had been and actually suggested that her and I might become good friends. They might not know much about selling cars or good customer service but they sure are keeping the tradition of the shady car dealer alive. They sold me a defective vehicle, failed to disclose the issues I would have with it and were rude on top of it all done under the guise of someone who really cares. They’re mad at me the customer because I was unhappy and still am about paying $30,000 dollars for the worst experience of my life. I’m paying for all the time I have been wasting and the stress it’s placed on me. When they finally got around to actually offering me the a different car it was apparently a joke because it was filthy dirty inside and obviously a subpar vehicle despite their claim. “You Can't Buy the Wrong Car Didn't get exactly what you were looking for? No worries. Our 7-day return policy protects you from buyer's remorse.” That’s on the website for Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda, something they also neglected to talk to me about. They knew right away when I was having issues how unhappy I was. Just another example of the terrible customer service and the level of incompetence. When I asked the general manager Jamie about fraud she immediately shot me down. So then I asked her “don’t you have pride in what you do?” she became defiant again and claimed to be extremely proud. I guess the standards at Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda are pretty low. The bottom line here is that we live in a world now where the customer is merely a commodity and not an actual person. And now I’m merely an annoyance. A world where making the sale is more important than making the customer happy and selling your soul is apparently part of their process. 3 out of 4 times I had one of the best experiences of my life buying a car. This was obviously not one of them. Jamie Drabczak, you and your staff at Morrie’s Inver Grove Mazda broke my streak of happiness and now more than extremely unhappy customer. Doug Peterson More

Low oil light i Two days ago I went in for an oil change at Morries. This morning, all the oil had drained from my vehicle after less than 50 miles. Low oil light immediately followed by onset of engine roughness. Lucky I shut down the engine before it seized. Dripping oil from all along the undercarriage. Last time I had gone there for service, including a tire rotation, they said something about needing new lug nuts and wheel studs, but apparently they didn’t have the parts in stock to make the “repairs.“ Instead they sent me on my way with dangerously loose lug nuts barely holding my wheels on. All four wheels, shaking like heck going 50mph on the freeway. I got home to my garage and retorqued the lug nuts to the specs in the manual - don’t know what their problem was... More
