Our company bought a lightly used Chevrolet truck that we saw on the internet. Matt was very friendly and personable. The deal was made and over with in no time. My husband and I went to purchase a 2010 Chevrolet 1500 Crew Cab pick-up truck that we had seen on the internet...it was priced very well. We live pretty far from the dealerships location in Forest Lake (1 Crew Cab pick-up truck that we had seen on the internet...it was priced very well. We live pretty far from the dealerships location in Forest Lake (1hr and 20min) so we scheduled an appointment with Tim Hooper (Internet Sales) to look at the truck on Friday, July 13th. When we arrived at the dealership and finally got in touch with Tim he lead us out to the truck, which was filthy inside and out - clearly had not been detailed, even the salesman, Tim, joked that it must have been detailed by their "blind detail employee on Sunday". After driving the truck and sitting down a while with Tim we came to a deal to purchase the truck with the following stipulations; the truck needed to be detailed inside and out, including a good buff to the outside and the upper glove box' latch needed to be fixed (it was loose and going to fall off). We signed an "I Owe/You Own" form...we were trading in our old truck and had to bring them the title. Since it was near closing time we went ahead and financed the truck and took it home that day, with the understanding that Tim would call us on Monday (16th) and let us know when the part for the glove box would be in and then we would set a day to come back and get the truck detailed and the part replaced. Well, Monday rolled around and after calling Tim several times...as it was getting close to evening and we had yet to hear from him about when we should come back, we finally got in touch with him and he said the part was ordered and would be in and available for install on Wednesday (18th). We made it clear to Tim that we would come on the 18th and hangout around Forest Lake while they did what they had to do with the truck, because we did not want to take a rental car home and then have to drive all the way back another day. We got to the dealership on the 18th, received a rental car and killed 2.5hrs. When we got back to the dealership we were greeted by Tim who told us he had good news and bad news...the truck was detailed, but according to him they ordered the wrong part. Tim suggested they mail us the part when it gets in and we could go to our closest Chevy dealer to have it replaced and then send them the bill. Trying to keep our cool we agreed and headed back home. The detail job was nothing to brag about...ceiling still with visible dirt on it, clearly just a simple wax done to the outside. The following week (Tuesday or Wednesday) we received a call from Tim asking if the truck had license plates/tabs, which had he simply taken the time to look at our financing he would have known we paid for both, meaning the truck had neither...he said he would have them sent to us; in the same conversation Tim also said the part was in and being shipped to us. Monday of the following week (30th) we text and called Tim regarding the part, which we still had not received....he gave us some crap excuse about miscommunication with the parts guy and ensured it would be sent on Monday. Yesterday (3rd of August) I called the dealership regarding the part and our plates/tabs (since our temporary permit was expired the same day - 3rd) to see where they were, after being given 4 different people's voicemails, I finally was able to speak to a woman in title/registration who informed me our tabs have been at the dealership since July 24th - we received no phone call informing us of this, they were supposed to be mailed to us, and we even talked to Tim after the 24th! I finally got sick of trying to reach Tim and left him a pretty heated voicemail to which he responded within minutes and played dumb regarding the part and plates, saying he couldn't believe we hadn't received either. It's now the 4th...still no part, plates, or tabs - I wonder how long it's going to take to get our bill paid for when we finally are able to get the part replaced??? What a joke of a dealership...worst experience ever - DO NOT GO HERE...had we known what we were in for, we would have paid a couple thousand more for a comparable truck from a dealership where the salesman actually knew what he was doing...HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. EVER. I bought my car for a decent price, but within 2 months of owning my new vehicle it started making a jingling noise. They had me come back numorous times and they were never able to find nor fix my problem. I lived 25 miles from the dealership, so going back and forth was spendy which didn't help my situation. My transmition also started having problems after 9 months of owning the vehicle. Once again, they tried to fix it multiple times and a few times they even ordered the wrong parts. They ended up charging me for something that they didn't even fix; they refused to refund my money and insisted I come back in for the 20th time in the year that I've had the vehicle. I went as far as referring them to the BBB because this car supposedly had a "clean title". There is no way that this is true when a car that is a year old with 50,000 miles on it has this many problems. BUYER BEWARE! More
I went there twice. The first time- I bought the car then twenty minutes later all the service lights went off and the car started making a clicking noise. I was not happy. I wanted my money back but they m twenty minutes later all the service lights went off and the car started making a clicking noise. I was not happy. I wanted my money back but they made me wait 5 hours before even talking about returning it. I thought it might have just been an honest mistake. They gave me a really good deal on another car but it turned out the car had a salvage title and didn't tell me about it until days later. More
