Disappointing I will preface by saying I have previously had several positive experiences at Morrie’s. However, my most recent one has left me not wanting to return I will preface by saying I have previously had several positive experiences at Morrie’s. However, my most recent one has left me not wanting to return. I set up an appointment online for an oil change for 5 pm and added that I needed help installing my rear license plate as the screws were rusted and the heads had come off when I had tried to remove on my own. I received a call the next day from Althea asking if I could move my appointment up to 4:30 to allow the mechanic enough time to both change oil and install the plate. No problem, I had to switch my work schedule around, but I understood it would take additional time to do both tasks. HOWEVER, when I showed up A. The mechanic did not seem to have any idea about the license plate request but said he could do it. B. About 15 minutes into the appointment he finds me and says “I don’t have time to put your license plate on” I tried to explain that I was told that that’s why my appointment was moved up. He says “well the appointment people are a different department” (which...ok? Do y’all not communicate or...) he later says that as my license plate installation would be so complicated that I would have needed to come in at 3 pm in order to both get my oil changed and install my license plate. Basically saying those two tasks would take 3 hours (??!!!) Sidebar - I took my car into the Midas in Hopkins a few days later where a lovely man named Jason installed my plate in 20 minutes and didn’t even charge me for it. A gem! So apparently, the team at Morrie’s needs multiple hours to do something that can be done in a few minutes? And I’m assuming I would have been charged for a couple hours of labor? That is VERY concerning. I’m not sure if this is a training issue that needs to occur with your mechanics or if they just thought they saw a sucker coming through :). At any rate my most recent experience has shied me away from wanting to do further business with Morrie’s. As I am a customer who only came in for a oil change here and there, I doubt my leaving will be a huge impact. However, i would be remiss if I didn’t share my reasons for leaving More

It has a little over 60,000 miles, so I was expecting them to recommend all sorts of pricey servic I took in my 2013 Hyundai for a routine oil change. It has a little over 60,000 miles, so I was expecting them to recommend all sorts of pricey services. However, they checked all my fluids and things with the free multi point inspection, and even though certain services are recommended at 60,000 miles, they didn't try to get me to buy any additional services because my car doesn't need them. I appreciate the transparency, especially as a someone who knows nothing about cars. And the oil change was quick too, which always helps! More
