Inspection Sticker Frustration Brought my Mazda in to get an inspection sticker on August 21 thinking naively that it would take perhaps an afternoon And maybe another day if the ca Brought my Mazda in to get an inspection sticker on August 21 thinking naively that it would take perhaps an afternoon And maybe another day if the car needed something (as it occasionally does). Was told I needed a special muffler gasket. So special in fact that none appeared to be in existence at the time (not on this planet anyway). They told me to call back later. So I called back a day later. Nothing. A couple days later. Nothing. A week later. Progress! The part has been confirmed to exist in Canada. You can imagine my jubilation at this news. Well is it coming here? When will it arrive? Verbal equivalent of a shrug. Two more WEEKS went by. Is the part coming? When will it arrive? Actual equivalent of a shrug as I had to go to the dealership and ask that in person because my voicemails were not being answered in a timely fashion (unless one defines timely as eight hours later). Finally at the end of my rope (and definitely near the end of my available time) I did something I never do - I called the manager ... he didn't pick up so I left a voicemail. Hours passed... To his credit he did return my call, but after three weeks of waiting my patience was pretty much gone. Perhaps I am a bit spoiled by electronic tracking so precise that I know when the UPS guy stops to go to the bathroom, but I think three weeks is a little long just to find out if a part is coming. So I went to Meineke. They told me they could do the work that needed to be done THE NEXT DAY. Not three weeks from then. The next day. They also told me about some other things. They showed me a bare patch on one of my tires which Morong had not mentioned and that the tire was wearing because I needed new shocks. Also not mentioned by Morong. More

When I went in for a test drive, Dan Dunham helped me out with getting me into the car I wanted without any sales pitch or pressure which was greatly appreciated. Jake Couch helped me understand the terms of the lease and patiently walked through the paperwork with me. The whole process took less than 2 hours and was quite easy. Loaner Car "Kindness" Solves Big Problem July, 2017... When a friend's VW developed serious mechanical problems during a long and late-in-the-day and deadline-driven journey to Downeast Maine July, 2017... When a friend's VW developed serious mechanical problems during a long and late-in-the-day and deadline-driven journey to Downeast Maine from the Boston area, Morong provided excellent service support AND offered a loaner car with generous terms... all of which helped resolve what could have been an inconvenient situation with an unhappy outcome. Significantly, Morong had no prior sales or service relationship with this customer or vehicle, so it seems their efforts went far beyond the norm. Makes us wish Morong could be OUR dealer! Kudos, Morong! More

On a deadline for a funeral and return flight in 24 hrs my only option was to have AAA tow car back to my family's hometown repairman near Boston. Even though Morong would not be doing the repair, Service Mgr Parker Sowles gave me a complementary 'loaner' for two days so I could get to Blue Hill and back....and then helped arrange AAA for tow of Passat back to Boston area.!! Gold Star "Random Act of Kindness" !!! More
