We purchased 3 vehicles previously from Jim Brown Chevrolet we had good experiences there however that dealership has now changed hands to Morgan Chevrolet unfortunately our experience at Morgan Chev Chevrolet we had good experiences there however that dealership has now changed hands to Morgan Chevrolet unfortunately our experience at Morgan Chevrolet was extremely bad my wife went on to their lot with the intent to purchase a used small SUV a very nice young salesman greeted her with a smile and she told him her intent was to buy and as SUV today thinking that she would give this young apprentice salesman a leg up and make his first car sale the salesman was very courteous and showed my wife a couple of options of course these are used cars and my wife was willing to purchase a small SUV as is she however does not have very much experience in buying used cars that would be my department as her husband she also agreed to finance the vehicle even though she could have easily paid outright for it that very the experience went bad when the finance people got involved they used very high pressure tactics to coerce my wife who has a disability into buying things she did not need such as GAP Insurance they literally locked her in a finance room and would not let her leave my wife has a stress disorder and is very claustrophobic she requested to leave the room and contact her husband several times for assistance with the technology that was being used to close on the financing instead she was not allowed to leave the room she became very stressed out and finally demanded to be set free from the room she kept on telling the finance people she did not want GAP Insurance did not need to finance and was only doing it as a favor to the young salesman but they would not listen to her they kept the pressure on her to the point where when she finally demanded to be released from the room and called her husband which is me to come get her when we got her home she had to go to the emergency room and ever since it has been a nightmare when we left the sales lot they gave us A tag and a registration a week or so later we were contacted to return to the dealership with the vehicle & new paperwork because they had somehow messed up the financing but they never would say what the problem was my wife runs a business and we are very busy cleaning up after 2 hurricanes in a row this dealership is on the other side of town from us but yet they were demanding that we drop everything and return to them to sign new paperwork regarding the finance agreement they were very insistent that we must come to their dealership we traded several taxes with the finance department that became heated the fact that the customer is always right never entered into their equation at all also when I returned to the lot to pick my wife up on the day of the what can only be described as waterboarding tactics by the finance people I discovered that the car had a huge dent in the hood when we did pick up the car we took it directly to Maaco and spent $800 to fix it it is understood that my wife signed off on a as is deal but nonetheless we wanted the car to look new push came to shove with the finance company and we told them that we would be paying this car off at our very first opportunity to never deal with this dealership again word to the wise this dealership is not Jim Brown and we will never buy another car from this dealership again. They sold me a damaged car. I bought an extended service warranty to be safe just to find out that when they put new tires on the car, it voided any service warranty because the I bought an extended service warranty to be safe just to find out that when they put new tires on the car, it voided any service warranty because they aren't factory original size. The car also has a pre-existing cold air intake on it that also voids the warranty I was charged $4000 to protect me against major issues. Well, 6 weeks after buying the car, it needs $9000 in driveline parts that the warranty will not cover due to the "modifications". Still trying to work out something with the dealership to resolve the issue. To this point, they have been helpful with other bad issues on the car, but unfortunately, this car really is bad and shouldn't have been sold by a Franchise dealer. More
I filled out a credit application to open an account with Morgan Chevy to extend credit and was informed I would have upfront fees for upgraded parts that wasn't added but purchased as is so I added the friv Morgan Chevy to extend credit and was informed I would have upfront fees for upgraded parts that wasn't added but purchased as is so I added the frivolous charges up and what do you know not only I'm supposed to pay upfront they also added to the finance charge so I could pay more on the back end plus interest wow 15 USC 1605 say's that the finance charge is the sum of all charges and no cash is necessary meaning no down payment or upfront cost defeat the purpose of a promissory Note aka application and contract being its an exchange More
The sales people that work there are real xxx! ! They are disrespectful as xxxx and said stuff that no customer service rep should ever say to a customer. You know who you are you in finance and th ! Found a car online, negotiated the price with a manager “Brian”. Drove one hour to get there. Test drove the car. Sales person invited us inside “great guy”. After sitting for 15 minutes and waiting for th “Brian”. Drove one hour to get there. Test drove the car. Sales person invited us inside “great guy”. After sitting for 15 minutes and waiting for the paperwork, some other manager screams at the manager Brian “did you give the crazy deal!!!!”. At that point I felt uncomfortable. The sales person takes me to speak to that manager and I did approach his front desk. Asked me about my credit and more info. Once I showed him everything that I was approved and how I was paying, he tells me aloud that he wouldn’t sell me the car.. I was shocked and felt insulted.. At that point I told my family to leave the place and we drove away. Very unprofessional!! Waste of time!! Not sure how they can have someone working there like that.. More
