Verify all service work done As wonderful as the experience has been buying a new 2017 Pathfinder as a 10yr anniversary gift for my wife. The service department at Monroe Nissan As wonderful as the experience has been buying a new 2017 Pathfinder as a 10yr anniversary gift for my wife. The service department at Monroe Nissan has failed to deliver "Award winning" service. As mentioned, I purchased the 2017 Pathfinder as a 10yr anniversary gift for my wife, and my plan was to give her this special gift on our anniversary (April 7). So as I've been able to hide the gift, I can no longer with a good conscience continue to "LIE" to my wife regarding the service that has been done to our 2009 Quest. Part of my purchase agreement for the 2017 Pathfinder, was to have several items fixed on our 2009 Quest. As all the items were fixed, there were major failures with the quality of work. As I understand that mistakes happen, but this failure could have been catastrophe as the technician did not tighten 6 main bolts that are attached to the frame. This could have caused major damage and injury to my family and others on the road. Even though this was corrected by an outside source, I agreed to have the 2009 Quest returned to the dealership for verification and for another alignment to be done. Upon returning, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. As I well know that this could be caused by anything, the fact that it came on after the 2009 Quest was services at the dealership is a cause of concern. The Service Manager explained that the code was related to a "Too Lean" gas issue. I was assured it was not something to worry about nor did they feel that it was caused by their workmanship. Within hours of driving it, the same day, the light came back on. Here is where I can no longer "LIE" to my wife. As a Christian and a follower of what is written in the Bible at Proverbs 6:16-19, lying is one of the things that God hates. I have to explain to my wife why I allowed Monroe Nissan to service the 2009 Quest instead of our normal service department, which means I have to explain the purchase of the 2017 Pathfinder. As I'm sure she will appreciate and be overly happy with the 2017 Pathfinder, the total experience I was planning and hoping for is ruined! All because I chose to have my 2009 Quest serviced at Monroe Nissan. I do not expect to return to Monroe Nissan for any additional service related issues on any of my vehicles. When i first established a relationship with Monroe Nissan back when they originally opened (several yrs back) i wasn't totally satisfied with their s When i first established a relationship with Monroe Nissan back when they originally opened (several yrs back) i wasn't totally satisfied with their service department as i would find inconsistencies in workmanship. Since then about (1 yr and a half ago) service department staff was changed and the difference is night and day. In particular i have to cast light on the 2 service department advisors Jaime McClain and Edgar Vanterpool. They are both very courteous, knowledgeable, and always eager to meet the customers expectations. That's why i stay loyal to Monroe Nissan. It's gentlemen like these that's that keep customers happy and business running. More
