James Watkins was actually my sales advisor when I first bought my 2006 BMW X5 back in 2009. I loved it. Sadly, when it had gotten broken into, I felt like it wasn't the same. So, I was very happy to see Ja bought my 2006 BMW X5 back in 2009. I loved it. Sadly, when it had gotten broken into, I felt like it wasn't the same. So, I was very happy to see James was still with Momentum BMW. He was a great person to do business with and I felt we connected. I had expressed interest in the X6 while I still had my X5. When I went to inquire about the X6, your dealership actually had 2 models in stock (pre-owned). He crunched the numbers and we were able to work out a spectacular deal and I drove off in my X6. I love driving it. It is definitely a "head-turner". You don't see many of them on the road and when you do, they are just so nice to look at. Momentum BMW SouthWest has been great to me from start to present - I haven't even finished with them yet! You have gained a loyal customer to your location and I have nothing but excellent things to say to my friends and family. I refer anyone I can that wants a luxury car at a great price! First of all, let me explain why I am unhappy with my purchase. I read very positive reviews and maybe I set my standards too high, but I had been to several dealerships before I came across this site an purchase. I read very positive reviews and maybe I set my standards too high, but I had been to several dealerships before I came across this site and saw the very positive reviews. My car still has the BMW plates so I just bought it and have had it for about a month. It is a BMW 328i, and so many issues. I was promised two keys, after purchase, given only 1. I was promised mats for the car and I had to literally refuse to take the car from the parking lot before the sales man decided to take one from another car and give it to me, looks old and worn out but I still took it thinking I will purchase my own later. I asked for the manual and only just received it 2 days ago after asking for it almost 10 times, driving to the place several times to get it and it was actually a different sales person who gave it to me. All those are relatively minor issues though, and I was still determined to buy this car. So I bought it, over a 3 day period because I was working during the day, get there in the evening and sign papers, came back 2 days later to pick it up, took it for a pre-purchase check at the Woodlands BMW, and they identified an oil leak (replace gasket), steering fluid issue (steering fluid replacement), and a light bulb thing (needs replacement) that was broken and said these are basic things that should be detected by any technician. I took it back to them believing in that great reputation they carry, and guess what, I had to struggle to have them even look at it. It was 1 week later, after I had basically dropped off the car and told them to find a fix, when the sales guy decided to have it checked (meanwhile am incurring rental car costs that they will not cover). They agreed with the light thing and denied the other two problems. When I picked it up, he opened the engine and even tightened one of the screws that appeared lose, I thought it was poor workmanship not to have a screw tightened but such things happen. I was too stressed over it to fight them on the other 2 issues and had rental costs to worry about so I decided to just leave it alone for now and hope it is not an issue that will xxxx me in future. I used to have a Honda with an oil leak and all I did was add more oil when it was low so I did not think it was too bad. I was concerned about some noise from the Brake system and the A/C and their lead technician test drove the car with me to assure me that it sounded like a BMW should, and since I have never owned one, I was reassured. apprx 4 weeks later, the A/C goes out, I did not have time to deal with it immediately and was going out of town. I knew how hard it is to get them to look at anything given previous experience, and I typically feel bad when I bother people but a car from a dealership should not have a major system like the A/C fail that soon. If I bought this from someone else, then maybe, but from a dealer, no way, so believing they bore some responsibility, I took it back to them, and the sales guy said, sure, make an appointment with service and bring it in, which I did but then they wanted me to pay for it, to which I said no way. It should not be failing that soon. So the manager offered to buy it back at a loss to me and sell me a more expensive car, that would simply mean I had not learnt my lesson the first time and they were about to screw me over again on a new purchase. No way. The sales guy was not there and I requested someone else who after talking to the manager, recommended a place to check it. Me, believing they were beginning to do something about it, took it there the next day, and they determined that the cover for the A/C, was the cause. It was actually not screwed in properly and had been knocking against the back of the compressor and the belt before falling down into the car, I was there when they pulled it out. They ran diagnostics on the car and even told me to take it back to Momentum BMW since it seems like their techs forgot to screw in that part properly. Well, you can imagine what I did, I took it back. And they switched me back to my original sales man, who again sent me to another shop, why they won't use their techs to do it they claim it is costly for them. Believing they were at least doing something, I took it there, and guess what, that guy would not even look at it unless I was willing to pay. I contact the sales guy and he tells me he is too busy to deal with me. I tell him I am bringing the car and he says they won't get a chance to look at it, I suggest leaving it there and he says they can't keep it and to contact him on Monday, which sounds reasonable. For their technicians to make that mistake, they should be bending over backwards to get it fixed but they are cutting costs and deciding not to fix it. This should be a simple one visit to the dealership. Honda dealership never treated me this way and once when I took the car back for a problem with the maintenance they had done, they complimentary fixed two other problems and corrected the mistake for free and even called me a couple days later to see how the car was doing. So now I am waiting again for BMW, just like I did previous times to get anything done. I know I have written a lot and am not the complaining type but when I feel like someone is responsible for something, then I get really mad when they try to deflect it. The reason I came here was because I felt they would do me right and everything has just gone wrong, one more thing, since I was signing documents and buying the car on different days, they would not let me take the paperwork for the purchase with me but when I came back the next day, they had mailed it already to their finance department and to this moment, I still don't have a copy of it and I have requested for it 4 times now and had to jump hoops to figure out how to make my monthly payments. So far so good, I have driven all over town just to get this car that I bought to be drivable and it still isn't, I have made several trips to the place to get stuff done that should probably have been one trip and wasted gas money and time doing this. I am honestly thinking of selling this car even though it still has BMW plates on it. Hopefully, there is an amicable solution but at this point, regardless of the solution, they have not been the car dealership I have read so much about, and that is why I rate them so low. Hopefully there is someone there who wants an amicable solution to this issue but that is my review and I stand by it 100%. I wish I could rate it lower. I gave the sales man an ok rating since he is friendly, just that he is not getting me to a solution. More
