I was given a rental car for the day at no charge. My overall experience was great. I recommend if anyone sets up a service appointment online, to verify what you want done when the vehicle is dropped off to avoid any misunderstanding. More

Elk Grove dealer told me he was going to get a car from Modesto at that price... told me I was being baited. Not so, I purchased at our agreed upon price. George Kramer walked me through the changes I wanted ie. after factory leather, bike rack, and window tinting. I got such a great deal, one of my friends bought the same car for the same price, different color! You can't beat 0 percent financing and Francis Aguirre was polite and respectful, completing my loan without bullying me into purchasing extras I didn't feel I needed. Thank you for that Francis. When my vehicle upgrades were complete George personally delivered my Forester and showed my how to operate its features. Please know that I am the kind of gal who drove my Corolla for 14 years before braving a new car purchase. Genuinely, the staff at Modesto Subaru made it easy. Love my car! Both he and his wife purchased a car here last year so we went in with the sales consultant's business card as well as a pretty good idea of what we wanted. I wanted to compare the Forester and Outback prior to making a decision so we sat down and went over options and did a couple of test drives. Debra was excellent in explaining all of the different packages and option so we could decide what we wanted and what we could do without to keep within our price range. Obviously, it takes a while to actually do all of the paperwork to do all the paperwork to complete a purchase and we were getting anxious to get back home because one of our dogs had an injury treated earlier that day but from beginning to end everyone was very helpful got us out as quickly as possible. I was going on a trip out of state for a week and had a couple of questions about syncing my phone, etc. so I stopped by and Jesse took a few minutes to answer all of my questions. They've done follow ups and I currently have an appointment for add-ons and to have questions answered about all of the functions available. More
Go to a different service department My new 2017 Subaru outside side passenger mirror exploded. I was pulling up to a stop sign and it sounded like a huge popping noise. Look these up on the internet it is more common than you think. I bring the subaru into the Modesto dealership and tell them the story and Al says that he can replace the mirror because the car is under warranty. I said great but can you have a mechanic look at the mirror and make sure there isn't a component that has gone bad in the mirror. He says no there is nothing wrong with mirror and he didn't think anything would make a mirror do that and then tells me to call my insurance. Then he goes out and to take pictures of the side mirror but there are no dents that would cause that kind of impact for the mirror to explode. Keep in mind Al is not a mechanic. This is what is so frustrating. As a consumer I'm worried about the safety of my car and I ask for someone to make sure there is nothing wrong with the components in my mirror. This is after he has told me that he will replace the mirror but then I ask for further investigation and he tells me without inspecting the mirror to call my insurance. Then I argue and say I would of called my insurance if I had hit something, but I didn't hit anything that is why I'm here at the dealership asking for your help. Then after we have this discussion he goes out to take pictures of the mirror. Save yourself time, money and piece of mind, do not do business or repairs with this dealership. More

After doing our homework, my wife and I decided on the Forester. After falling for the XT Premium model and the Quartz Blue Pearl color, we learned that there were only a few available in all of California that met our exact specifications and options. We worked with DEBRA who provided useful information, let us leave without any pressure, worked for weeks to secure the exact vehicle we wanted and communicated effectively throughout the process. There were no typical salesmanship games on purchase day; we were able to agree on pricing within 15 minutes, then received equally impressive customer service from Ed in finance and was ultimately congratulated by Perry the sales manager who worked with Debra to achieve the pricing we were looking for. In the end, the dealership also made a $250 charitable donation in our names and offered us free season passes to Sierra Ski Resort. With my experience in auto sales, I can affirm that this dealership is one of the good ones. In an industry where open honesty is rarely the default setting, my wife and I are grateful to Debra for serving her clients with integrity and professionalism. More
Over extended the service time for us, road trippers. Their service time was up to 5:30 pm and we arrived around 4:30. Coming from LA, going to Whistler, Canada. All of a sudden warning lights of break and eye sight turned on and won't go away. We are not risk taker. Every body at Subaru Modesto went out of their way so we can continue our journey safely. Price Was Good, BUT I found their ad and it was a good price on a used car. Car had some minor obvious defects, loose side molding, worn tires so forth. The tire wear was the first thing noted as California has laws regarding a dealer cannot sell a car with worn out tires. Mine were at the wear bars and less. When I got home and tried to load CD's into the changer I noted that only one CD would load. The changer motor was weak. Then when playing the one CD for about 15 minutes the radio and defroster shut completely off. Apparently since Subaru made these 2 units into one, an error in one unit kills the other. After about a week or two with no registration coming, the dealership called to tell me I had to bring the car back since the smog inspection they charged me for was never done. Since it is a 2 hour drive they agreed to refund the money they falsely charged. Another week later they sent a separate check for overcharging my DMV fees. When we road tested the car at the dealer the low tire pressure light came on. The car was sent into their shop while we did the paperwork for our purchase. The mechanic said it was just low pressures and declared it fixed. But on my way home the light began blinking. Turns out my tires were not only worn out but the light flashing was due to low battery power in the sensors at 2 of the wheels. If I continue to think about it I'm sure more would come to mind. More
