City VW and all the employees were terrific. I came in on the last day of a lease deal looking for a specific car. I had previously been to another VW dealer in the area and they were pushing to get me to le the last day of a lease deal looking for a specific car. They made no attempt to locate for me the car I wanted. City VW was busy but the online chat person- Evan- took great care of me, lined up the car and I went in to the dealer to sign the papers. The dealership was very busy due to the lease deal and it was the end of the month. Within 24 hours I had the car I wanted with the specs I wanted at the price I wanted. City went out of its way to please me and negotiated fairly. I won't go to any other VW dealer in San Diego ever again. Thank you City and all the great guys- Dago, Erik and Evan. More

Armando was a great salesman for my new TDi. He answered every question I had and spent a patient 5 or 6 hours with me as I considered multiple models and colors. I was nervous about buying a new car, hopin every question I had and spent a patient 5 or 6 hours with me as I considered multiple models and colors. I was nervous about buying a new car, hoping it wasn't like my last new car- a Nissan that was a total disappointment. But I love my new car, they gave me a fair trade in value for my old car. They had a good sense of humor about my indecision, I never felt pressured, just attended to and shown any option I was curious about. And I looked at maybe 7 different cars and colors. The only thing I would recommend against is getting a spoiler for the new TDi- it is just a sliver of plastic I regret getting- as I don't think it really saves any gas it is so tiny and cost about $400. Also, the gap insurance from the dealership is an expensive option- you can get gap insurance in California online (gap direct.com) for a fraction of the price. I went with the basic Jett's model, and it still feels like a luxury turbo sport car! Love it! I hear they are expensive to repair, so I only hope it doesn't have any major mechanical issues for a long long time. But all of that is outside of the excellent salesmanship that convinced a skeptical buyer to fall in love with her new car. City vow is MUCH better than bob baker in Carlsbad and the Escondido vw dealership- those places did not inspire me at all to even look at what they had. So far so good on my city vw experience. I hope any future repairs go as smoothly and honestly as my buying experience. I will report back here in the future! More

His sales style was friendly & relaxed but also knowledgable & professional. Armando answered all of my questions and took me flawlessly through the entire sales process. After purchasing and driving my 2013 VW Tiguan for a few weeks I had an opportunity to speak with Armando again. He was just as friendly and approachable during this second visit as he was at the time of purchase and was very willing to answer my questions. I contacted Tina Alo a year ago online with some questions on a new Golf. I didn't make a purchase at that time, but haven't bought anything else yet either. I'm considering other VW products and went to the dealership on Sunday, asking for Tina and meeting Christa. I explained this was still in the "research" phase and I wouldn't be purchasing anything that day. Christa was nonetheless extremely helpful, answering all my questions and indulging me with three different test drives. I still haven't decided what or when I'm going to purchase, but when I do, it will definitely be at City Volkswagen. I highly recommend them. More
