Big Expectations, Big Let Down My experience with Miracle Motor Mart(MMM) was certainly mixed with more negative than positive. It started off with the car I was looking for being l My experience with Miracle Motor Mart(MMM) was certainly mixed with more negative than positive. It started off with the car I was looking for being listed at their East location, but after checking in at MMM East I was informed that the specific vehicle I was looking for was actually up on Morse Rd, which wasn't the biggest deal. The sales staff at MMM East were all very pleasant and if not for the bad experience which I will detail shortly, I would return. I test drove a recent model full size sedan, I had done my research on that particular car, down to the oil changes the car received while under warranty. The car had been freshly cleaned on the exterior and the interior was actually very well maintained for sitting at a dealer for up to a years time. One thing I noticed on the test drive was that the car had very little fuel left in the gas tank. I arrived back to the dealer and proceeded with the purchase of the vehicle. Prior to looking for cars I got a approval letter for credit from a lender and had brought that in to the dealer once my decision was made. Without informing me prior to them doing so, they ran my credit through three other lenders, I found out because of a credit alert I received. This was the first big thing that got me. I had discussed that issue with the manager that day and he was understanding and polite about it. However during my sit down to work to finalize paperwork, they tried to hard sell me on services that I just did not want, as I work on cars myself. The car only had one key fob for the smart key system, which is needed to start the vehicle, and they were unwilling to provide the second key fob for me unless I bought one or more of the additional packages they were selling. I understand I could have walked away, and this was their way of making money but it left a very sour taste in my mouth. They also told me something would be in the service contract regarding a wear item that I do not see in the final paperwork as was promised, but I didn't believe a wear item would be covered regardless. The next sticking point for me comes with the actual delivery of the vehicle to my possession. During my talks with the manager while finalizing sale I requested that the fuel tank have gas added to it, which should be the standard when purchasing a $20,000+ car. When I took delivery the next day after having the car 'detailed' it was clear they never attempted to put a drop of gas in; the car's "distance to empty" reading stated "please refuel" instead of giving any estimate of mileage with the gas gauge firmly planted on E. The final sticking point for me is regarding the servicing and detailing they provided, I should mention it was at no charge and I did NOT request it to be done. The driver's seat was obviously not cleaned or had any recent leather product applied, their 'car scent' device was a urinal cake looking thing that they stuck in the passenger door, and the 'detailing' they did obviously didn't cover any of the windows on the car because the car still had the dusty haze all over the inside windows that I would expect from a vehicle originally purchased (new) from a dealer out in farm country. Overall I can say they do deserve at least one star due to the very professional interaction I had with the sales staff at MMM East, but the service staff and sales staff at MMM Morse Rd heavily tilted the scale towards the negative.
