I had done my research and found a couple of good deals here. Rodney and his manager were both were very respectful and transparent during the negotiations. I really appreciated that the manager spoke with me directly instead of hiding in his office like I have experience at many other car dealerships. The only complaint I would have is that the car was not as clean as I would have expected on the interior. I usually assume the car would have been detailed before going on the website or the lot but that was not the case with this one. I ended up spending an hour or so cleaning it up but I think I got a good deal so not a big deal at all. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a used car. More

The staff members that I encountered were friendly and appeared to be helpful but there were too many little things in the process that just didn’t add up to a deal. If you are looking for a certain car and know your price range, they can be a good place to look…..just be ready to jump through all kinds of hoops. I had been looking for a certain model and color(s) of a used vehicle and had been watching all the sites. This particular vehicle appeared with “photos coming.” I immediately contacted the dealership and Christian responded to me that the vehicle was in transit and would not arrive for about a week. I asked to be notified when it arrived. After not hearing anything, I again reached out to the dealership and this time Rodney got back to me since the vehicle was to be at the Morse Road location instead of the East location. He informed me that the vehicle had arrived but was in the body shop and wouldn’t be available until the weekend. I inquired about why the vehicle (which had no accidents according to CarFax) was in the body shop and said he would find out but he never actually told me why. Meanwhile, I had let several similar cars from other dealerships go by while waiting on Miracle Motor Mart. The holiday weekend occurred and I did make it out to another dealer to get a quote. On Tuesday, I was finally able to take a test drive in the vehicle. As I drive out of the parking lot, I notice that the gas gauge is almost on “E” so I check the miles to empty feature and found that I had an estimated 31 miles. More than enough miles for me to take for a drive on the freeway, side streets and back but I have noticed in several reviews that low gas levels on test drives appear normal. I never perform my test drive walk around at the dealership, I pull into a parking lot someplace. I walked around the vehicle and look in all areas. I noticed a nail in the rear tire…it was not causing the tire to go flat but could have been an issue. I also noticed a small dent in the rear tire well and scuff marks on the passenger side mirror (probably from someone scrapping it on a post or door frame.). Not big deals, but if the vehicle was in the body shop, wouldn’t these areas be repaired? The vehicle was in excellent condition otherwise and so those were not deal enders, just concerns. Upon returning to the dealership, Rodney told me that he would get the deal from his manager. (I had given them my vehicle key to inspect my trade). He was gone for quite a long time. Considering I had been gone an hour, why wasn’t the deal ready when I returned like at other dealers? Rodney sat down with the famous “four square” sales sheet that showed the price they were charging me, the amount offered for my trade, and financing rates/terms. The fourth box, the monthly payments was empty. (it should be noted that I have an excellent credit score.) I informed Rodney that the trade offer was $1000-$1500 below other offers and that I was most concerned about the monthly payment amount. Once again, he said he would be back and I sat even more. Finally he came back and said that the manager was not going to budge on the trade value but he had been able to get me a better rate and he showed me a monthly payment that was over $50 more a month than another offer I had. I told him it needed to be lower and he left again. I became very leery when Rodney had to keep leaving to check with his manager on everything but I sat through the normal hoops you have to jump through even though it was just a waste of time. At that point, I knew that no deal was going to be possible because they were using the old “I have to go check with my manager” to try and psych you out routine. I figured that he would come back with comments about how he had gone to bat for me and how the manager really wanted to help me…..and I was right…all part of the “show” to get you to their terms. When he came back this time, he said that the manager was going to throw a little more in on the trade and “do some other things” to help get the payments down. His new figure lowered the payments some but not nearly enough. I told him where the payments needed to be in order to deal because of the offer from another dealer (I even offered to go a little higher because Miracle was much closer to my home.) Once again he leaves. At that point, I knew that no deal was going to be possible because they were using the old “I have to go check with my manager” to try and psych you out routine. He comes back and says that if I stretch the payments to 63 months from 60 (“only three additional months”), it would lower the payments to $xxx. He also presented several other options on the paper with other month levels but none even approached what I had been offered for 60 months elsewhere. None of them lowered the overall cost (in fact one actually would have had me paying more overall!). He made comments that he had tried to get more for me but his manager was holding firm. He also commented that the van had a lot of nice features on it. (to which I replied that those features were, to me, not worth the extra cost because I could do without them). At this point, I thanked him for his time and efforts and asked for my key back (which he once again had to leave me to go get from the manager….why he still had it is beyond me). He gave me my key and I left the dealership and as I was getting in my car, I noticed the sales manager coming over to Rodney (the sales manager had never once came out of the office while I was there). I drove away having wasted an hour sitting in there for the “negotiation.” I figured I would hear from them again with a “new deal” and I was right. Not more than 10 minutes later my phone rang and since I do not talk or text while driving, I let it go to voice mail. It was Rodney saying that he had spoken to his other sales manager and even though the first one would not change his offer, the second one was willing to sign off on a better deal and would offer me more on the trade. He asked me to call him back. I called him when I got home and he told me the new “deal” and after doing some figuring, I told him that wasn’t acceptable either. (basically the same deals that had been offered just in different packaging…..lol) He mentioned that the sales manager had increased the trade amount by $2000, putting it at a higher amount than either of the other two dealers quotes. (How does a trade amount increase by so much when told originally that is all they could really pay for the trade?) We then traded emails and I informed him via email exactly what it would take for a deal to happen (which I had told him earlier….still more than the other dealer’s offer I received). He emailed me back and said that the manager (not sure if it was Manager #1 or Manager #2….lol) said he could not sell it for that price. He also told me that his manager “knew me” and wanted to help me get a deal. (If the sales manager knew me, why didn’t he come out and say hello to me while I was there? No one on their website look or sounds familiar to me.) He then informed me that he was going to have to “release” the vehicle because another salesman had had an inquiry on it and that customer was coming in that evening to test drive. (I don’t ever remember putting a “hold” on the vehicle in the first place but it was nice of them to tell me that). He also said that I could come back on Thursday and look at some of the cheaper vehicles he had in stock. (which I already had seen online and knew there was none I wanted.) Once again, I thanked Rodney and told him to go ahead and release the van as I would just go to the other dealer because they did not have another vehicle that appealed to me. Even though I did not get a written statement of the quote at the dealership, I asked one to be sent to me so I could compare it to the other dealer’s quotes. It is very interesting that the Doc Processing fee is twice as much at Miracle as either of the other two dealers. Since we never got to the point of meeting with the manager or finance manager I couldn’t ask that question. Of course I also didn’t have to jump through all the hoops of saying no to everything extra that they would try to sell me……lol. Rodney is a very polite, soft spoken man who seems generally interested in his customers and their lives. He is obviously a man of great faith as he had an open bible on his desk and one of the Psalms taped to his desk. That is why it was so hard to understand all the hoops he and I had to go through. Will this experience turn me off of Miracle Motor Mart for good? No, since they usually have a good inventory of low mileage cars. I had done research and got other quotes and that gave me the advantage in trying to craft a deal. (I got the impression they didn’t like that I knew all I knew…lol) My advice for those looking at purchasing from Miracle Motor Mart or any dealer: 1. 1.) Do advance research on the price/value of the car (using Carfax, AutoTrader, Cars.com, etc.). Also know what State Law is on Document Fees and Titles and Registration. (Ohio has a max cap of $250 on Doc fees). 2. 2.) Know your credit score as the higher the score the more leverage you have. 3. 3.) Get trade in quotes from other dealers (and CarMax) and if possible, get a price quote on a similar vehicle. Don’t necessarily accept the first trade in quote they offer you, especially if it is much below what your research shows is average for your vehicle. 4. 4.) When they start leaving all the time and coming back with “new deals” become very leery of the situation and possibly consider getting out right there. It becomes a game to them. 5. 5.) If they can’t make a deal that you are comfortable with or is out of your price range within a couple of offer, THEN SIMPLY WALK AWAY. (they will call you later…..lol). More

After several trys in an attempt to purchase a vehicle from a dealership up North, in Bexley, as well as rent to own programs out East, Miracle Motors was able to provide an option that I could afford. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they were able to find a 2016 vehicle with low mileage. As a person who works in non-profit while battling student loan debt, trying to find a car was a high stress experience. Miracle Motors was my last shot, and thanks to Dray and the Financing Manager, they were able to get me reliable transportation. Thank you again, I have already recommended your dealership to family and friends. More
