I had went to Milnes a couple days ago to ask to speak to a salesman about a used vehicle they had for sale, I walked in and stood for almost five minutes while listening to the woman at the front desk have a salesman about a used vehicle they had for sale, I walked in and stood for almost five minutes while listening to the woman at the front desk have an inappropriate conversation with someone I can only assume works there. I am honestly baffled with the amount of unprofessionalism I witnessed and maybe it is because I am older and I am not keeping up with what is socially acceptable but I was truly blown away. After standing there for five minutes and listening to the crude conversation I chose to leave and ended up purchasing at a different ford dealer. I almost feel bad judging the place off of my first impression but I was just blown away. There are certain subjects you don't speak about in a certain environments and especially not Infront of a possible buying customer. More
I purchased a vehicle a little over a year ago. The salesman I dealt with was very nice. But unfortunately about two weeks later, I realized my car was burning oil badly. I was putting a quart and a half in every 500 miles. Of course I didn’t buy the warranty. The account manager I dealt with was very smug . My wife and I live in Flint Township and he kept making comments about how bad Flint was. Meanwhile, we have a beautiful house in a very good area. Just don’t think I will ever buy another car from there. Not a good experience at all. More
Had an appointment for oil change & tire rotation. Called just before appointment to make sure on time said yes. Hour and half still waiting for my vehicle. Unacceptable it’s a simple oil change. The owner, Blake, contacted me regarding an issue I had with Jake the assistant service manager. My AC wasn’t working, brought it in and it was “fixed”. It wasn’t fixed and when I called I was given firs with Jake the assistant service manager. My AC wasn’t working, brought it in and it was “fixed”. It wasn’t fixed and when I called I was given first an appointment on the 21st and then the 13th, even though it wasn’t fixed from the first time. I spoke with Keith who had Blake call me. I was able to bring my car in the following day. A seal that was just put in was defective causing a freon leak. I cannot say enough good things about Jaccari, Blake and Keith. They restored my faith in their service department. I think Jaccari would be a great assistant service manager, I liked dealing with him and I’m sure other customers would too! More
I will never buy another vehicle from Milnes Ford in Lapeer again. Not only was it their clerical department a joke, but worse was that as soon as I drove the vehicle off the lot the airbag light came o Lapeer again. Not only was it their clerical department a joke, but worse was that as soon as I drove the vehicle off the lot the airbag light came on and the brakes were making a grinding noise that they hadn't been making when I test drove it. They originally said that it was a new issue but later admitted that the vehicle hadn't been fixed properly before sale. They did fix those 2 issues immediately; but when we called to say now the heated seats weren't working they made an appointment for 6 weeks out then "lost" my appointment and were unwilling to help accomodate us. We finally got Ford Quality Assurance involved who got us in at Imlay City Ford for the fixes. Their service department have found recalls that were issued over 6 months ago that were still needed to be fixed as well as electrical issues that were logged into Ford's computer system previously that were also not fixed. All in all I am having to spend thousands of dollars for a vehicle I have owned less than 4 months. I really could go into more detail, especially on the headache purchasing the vehicle had been but bottom line from the sales to the service department Milnes Ford in Lapeer has been rude and unprofessional. So went in to look at a used truck, explained that I would be closing on the sale of my house in a month and would be purchasing a F-250 used and would probably be paying cash (check) for all or most of would be closing on the sale of my house in a month and would be purchasing a F-250 used and would probably be paying cash (check) for all or most of price around $47,000. Salesman Jeff Wells was great he knows how to treat people. So before leaving Jeff has Ken used car manager I think, come over I explain my situation and I could see his body language and expression change I asked what the policy was on holding a vehicle for a month I would obviously put something down. He said we can’t hold and I totally understand that from a business point of view, and said than let me know what you get in over next month if this truck sells. So they had put two new tires on when they received the truck in, so I told Jeff I was somewhat interested in the truck and he said while if the truck is still here when you receive your funds what would you want done to the truck to make it to your liking? (Ken standing there also) I said I would want the other two tires replaced and a Bedliner applied. If the truck was still there in a month I was going to negotiate the price it was priced at $47,400 or around that. All Ken mumbled was it will cost you couple hundred for each item really couldn’t here him cause it seemed because I wasn’t signing on the dotted line he wasn’t interested. So I asked Jeff outside and said I like you Jeff (Wells) and IF I come back here in a month I don’t want to talk to Ken at all it would be through you. I have dealt with enough sales people to know that Ken is not a good salesman or people person or whatever his position is there. I was told by Elizabeth on the phone I would get VIP treatment when I came in Looking for a vehicle should be a pleasant fun experience, not make the customer feel like crap. I just don’t think Ken cares whether I come back or not or because I arrived in my 1999 ford ranger I don’t have money or I’m lying about my house closing in a month. Whether a customer is spending $2,000 or $45,000 which I intend to do, the staff should be upbeat and pleasant and want you to come back. IF I go back I will only deal with JEFF WELLS!! I give Jeff 5 stars More

My fiance and I came in to purchase our second car from this place and are happy with everything. Of course we looked around and just like the first time Milnes had the best deal. We worked with Randy and I was so pleased with him. He was able to handle me, im very picky and get off topic alot but Randy was able to keep us focused on topic. Randy is willing to work to get everything one asks for. He goes above and beyond what most sales people will do. Im pretty sure no is not in his vocabulary! Will be back for sure and see Randy when time comes for a new car again! More
